Holy Knight Johann Geens shot out to the desert like a gust of wind.
– Ooooooong!
– Paaaaat!
Loud noises stuck to his heels as if they were racing. The sand created shapes of large fireworks in the ground as the dust scattered. His white hair fluttered like a dancer’s fingertips and the caravanserai quickly disappeared from his view. His eyes that were mint-colored, similar to the oasis, peeked behind.
There was nobody at the window sill any longer. His two students were admirably quite sharp and swift with their movements. They were quite sensitive to mana as well. They were reliable enough to protect his master who was always one step behind.
– Wiiiiingwiiiiing, wiingwiiiing!
“……”
The Cardinal looked forward again. Clouds as dark as ink were shooting up into the sky. People who had no idea about what was going on would think they were rain clouds. However, this man would not have come all the way out here if it was such a welcomed existence. Jumping out the window and moving away from the person he needed to protect with his life…
– Wiiingwiiingwiiiingwiiiiiing!
– Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing……!
This noise that was so loud it hurt his ears echoed around. The enemy was a familiar existence. Only the skeletons of humans and animals remained once these bastards went past. As a mercenary who roamed through the desert and the Holy Kingdom since he was young, Johann had naturally fought against these before. They were monsters that quietly slept inside dark places like caves until a single encounter would make them rise like a wildfire to swallow up the enemy. A high-grade demonic beast whose shell was as firm as amber.
The Dark Amber Bees.
– Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing! Ooooong oooooong ooooong!
“Ahhhhhhh! My ears! Aaaaah!”
“Run to the water! Hurry!”
“Aaaaaaaaaak!”
Blood splattering everywhere and the screeches that followed… The knights facing the bees in the front were crazily flailing their arms as they ran. These were the knights who went to look for the ten year old girl, India. Based on the direction they were moving, this incident happened in the ruins. He was certain that either they or the tomb raiders woke and angered the demonic beasts.
All of them had gone on horseback but only two returned. They would have been in less danger if they were on horses, but they seemed to have thrown the horses toward the bees as bait before running away.
‘Neeeeeeigh! Neeeeeeigh!’ He could see horses being consumed by the demonic beasts in the distance. Humans tended to make extremely irrational decisions in danger.
The Dark Amber Bees were now in perfect order like migrating birds as they grew in size. The dark and large shadow resembled the mouth of a poisonous snake. Pretending to be a larger and more threatening beast than themselves to scare their prey was their specialty.
Johann’s eyes calmly sparkled.
“Aaah! Oh father!”
“Oh Almighty God!”
– Shaaaaaa……
A white breeze gathered in the knight’s palm through the hellish screeches. He didn’t want to use his powers in front of some lackeys of the Vatican, but he had no choice.
The Blessing of the Blue Sea, the Sword of Wisdom from the Flaming Star, and the Ark of the Wind Deity. It had been weird that no demonic beasts had reacted to three divine items being nearby. These monsters would attack the lodging and the village if he did not stop them here. Then his master would release his Holy Land without any hesitation to protect the weak.
It was safer to not have his esteemed master’s identity not be revealed before they reached the Vatican. Most importantly, his liege wished for the safety of this ten year old child he had never even met. Similar to how he had acted for Gerrit. That was enough.
Johann closed his eyes. The knight’s clothes gently fluttered. He looked like a lone white flower in the midst of carnage and chaos.
“Shit! Pour some water!”
“I don’t have any! I have none! I left it in the saddle!”
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! It hurts! It huuuuuurts!”
His eyes flashed open. He raised his right hand. The dry air immediately followed his orders.
– Swooooooosh!
– Ooooooong……!
The gentle breeze swirling around his arm quickly started to turn clockwise. The gentle breeze then turned into a fierce storm with his calm jade-like gaze turned into the center of the dark wheel of fate.
– Baaaaaaaang!
“Aaaaaah!”
A fierce gust swept through the sand and then shot up into the air. The explosion-like shock sent the survivors flying away.
Rustle! Sand as sharp as shards of glass splashed in all directions but it did not leave a single trace on the Holy Knight’s clothes. The tornado ruthlessly swirled around the Dark Amber Bees and pierced through the sky. He used a wind wall to imprison them, not allowing them to fly away.
Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing- wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing- wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing! The bees loudly roared and resisted. However, luck was not on their side today.
“Return to dust.”
Shhh! A blade appeared at the center of the tornado. A quiet whisper and a dreadful noise merged together in an extremely odd yet natural harmony.
– Papapapapat!
– Babababang!
“What the hell…?!”
The search squad that was buried in the sand gasped. This was too scary to call it the Authority of the Almighty God. The sky that had been covered by the evil insects was cleared before a dark tornado swept in. Two soldiers ended up conscious at this unexplainable sight. One of the knights raised his shaking finger.
“O, over there! The wind is killing the bees! It is slicing them apart like a blade!”
“My goodness!”
– Pabababat!
‘Screeeeeeeeeech!’ The pained cries, the crazed wind, and the gruesome sound of the bodies of the demonic beasts being chopped up echoed through the desert.
‘Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaag.’ Some of the people watching could not overcome their fear and disgust and barfed.
Johann calmly watched the demonic beasts being chopped up before looking away. The Vatican knight he made eye contact with flinched and opened his eyes wide. He must have recognized the Holy Knight in the chaos. He didn’t even notice the sand he was swallowing and dropped his jaw. The finger pointed at Johann kept shaking.
“Y, you are…… Aren’t you that commoner bastard?!”
The knight seemed to be in his late forties to early fifties. He had no tact despite being that old. Well, the fact that he was stationed somewhere like this despite his age showed that he was quite useless.
Sir Johann commented, almost as if he was scolding him. “It would be best if you kept your mouth shut.”
“I know I’m right! The Vatican’s janitor, ugh! Uuuuuugh!” He grabbed his neck and fell to the side. Veins were visible on his forehead and neck and his face was red as if he was being suffocated.
‘Knight-nim! Knight-nim!’ The soldiers gasped while looking at the knight struggling to breathe.
Johann remained stoic despite seeing their pale faces. Murder was not a difficult task for him. He had killed plenty in order to survive until now, and he would do it again without any hesitation if it was necessary. However……
“Ahhhhhhh! Cough cough! Cough!” The Holy Knight released his power.
“Are you okay, sir?! Can you breathe now?!”
“Cough cough! Gaaaaaaaaaaaasp!”
This was enough for today. He wanted to return with as clean a body and heart as possible. His young disciples had yet to have someone’s blood on their hands. As for his highness, his liege believed this Holy Knight to be a good person despite almost dying at his hands. As for his son who had thankfully gained some weight since coming to the Empire, he smiled all day without any reason. The man wanted to respond to all of their expectations.
“Cough cough, you bastard! You dare to put your hands on a noble despite being a commoner?! If my mother finds out……”
“Do you want to end up like that?” Johann looked toward the tornado and asked. His tone was gentle but what he was saying was vicious.
The survivors were shaking as they looked up at the murdering tornado. The ripped wings and mud-like demonic beast blood swirled in one location.
– Babababang……! Swooooooosh!
– Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech!
“……What do you want?! Is it money?!”
“Keep what you saw today a secret.”
The middle-aged man was spitting as he asked, and the Holy Knight lightheartedly answered.
The soldiers looked at him with blank expressions. Did this person really think that was possible? A tornado like this must have been seen in Zaum Village as well as the next resting area. What were they supposed to report when they returned……
“Say a large sandstorm attacked the demonic beast like a miracle, saving the village.”
“H, hoo……”
“Do not talk about me anywhere in the desert. Unless you wish for an early death.”
‘Shhhhhhhhhhhh!’ The wind around them became rough before Johann even finished speaking. His long white hair fluttered like a warning and his dropping eyes curled as if he was urging them. No warmth was visible on his face, similar to that of a smile on an ancient sculpture.
The search team instantly became scared. They all rushed to nod their heads despite the sand covering them.

I looked out the window and gasped. Demy, Rhea, Perry, and Tithé all had their tiny mouths open as well. The crystal bell in my pocket was now quiet as if it had never been ringing. It was no longer shining either.
“What the……”
– Swooooooosh!
I couldn’t believe it despite seeing it with my own eyes. It felt like a scene straight out of < The Mummy >. On the horizon past Zaum Village, a sandstorm the size of a mountain swallowed a bunch of black beetles (I wasn’t sure but they were beetles in the movie) in one gulp. I felt like I saw the Blue Whale, Monstro, swallowing a gulp of krill on land. The sudden danger was resolved even more suddenly. It was magical yet unbelievable.
‘No, I am totally relieved, but…… How does this make any sense? Are the heavens really helping the main couple to make sure they are safe?’
“Holy Almighty God. This is truly a godly miracle! Don’t you agree?” Joanne loudly shouted while jumping up. Her lemon-colored eyes that were looking for paper and charcoal were sparkling with inspiration.
On the other hand, Sand plopped down as his whole body went weak. ‘Kiiiiiiii!’ The little troublemakers that were excited jumped up and attacked his tummy.
The Imperial Crown Prince slowly withdrew his sword and turned around. We quickly made eye contact.
“Yes, your Royal Highness. The wind happened to show up right on time, eek!” A sharp tingle went down my spine. I quickly got up and dangled over the window sill. The crown prince looked at me as if he did not expect this. ‘Yo, this big bro has good memory!’
“India, your Royal Highness. That child should still be in the ruins!”
“Ha.” The punk looked at me with an ‘of course you act like this.’ He then sighed.
‘Umm, excuuuuuse me. Saving someone’s life is no joke, bro!’
“Isn’t that the direction of the ruins? What if they messed with the wrong thing in an ancient tomb and got cursed……”
“Your imagination is too much.”
Bang bang thump! Slam!
“The tomb security device must have been activated, right?! It’s the curse of the mummy!” Christelle ran over, opened the door, and shouted. I immediately nodded my head. As expected, Miss Ga-in was wise.
Crown prince Cédric ended up sighing, but it was understandable since this guy didn’t know anything about this genre.
‘How can we discuss any of this with a punk who has never watched < The Mummy > or < Jumanji >?’
“More importantly, is your family safe?”
“Yes, they are all fine. They are quite shocked but they were happy to have seen something so cool.”
‘Mm, I guess that’s fitting for Christelle’s family.’ Anyway, I was relieved that everybody was fine.
Christelle asked if we were okay and then started to talk about mummies or what not with Joanne. I was attentively observing the outside situation. Items and even vases were broken because of the rumbling that had swept past. Thankfully, nobody seemed to have been seriously hurt. The building itself was quite sturdy, so there wasn’t even a crack.
People who looked like villagers rushed over to the caravanserai to look for Monica. I thoroughly looked around as well. ‘Where did Sir Johann go? Oh, Monica is over there!’
“Soooooob, sooooooob! My sister, mm, sooooooob……..”
“Shhhhh. It’s okay. Marian, everything will be okay.”
My eyes opened wide. Monica, who was suppressing a bleeding eyebrow with a towel, was consoling a child. The girl with the braided hair in her arms was crying so much I was worried about her becoming dehydrated. This child was India’s older sister, the theologian, Marian.
A scary aura shot out from the direction of the ruins that her sister went toward, so it was understandable she was reacting frantically like this.
I felt extremely sorry for her. I quickly turned to look at the crown prince. “If it is okay with Monica, I would like to look at her injury with my healing power. I want to help the child calm down as well.”
“……”
This gaze was easy to understand. He was telling me I could do as I please.
“Thank you very much.” I smiled brightly and headed back out. Christelle came over and stuck to my side.
“Monica! Oh dear, why are you bleeding?!”
“It’s okay. I was hit by a shelf so it ripped a bit.”
“Call the doctor over! A doctor who knows how to stitch! Monica is hurt!”
“My goodness. Marian, come over here. There there, don’t cry.”
“We will definitely find your sister. Don’t worry.” The villagers gathered around Monica and Marian, showing them love as they consoled them. They were quickly looking after the patient and giving the child a water bottle. As my heart felt touched and my nose tingled…
“……Huh?”
The little lady and I made eye contact. Marian stopped crying and her jaw dropped. I became flustered and quickly touched my face. I couldn’t feel anything. I immediately got goosebumps on my arm.
I didn’t have the glasses.
“Your highness, I think that child saw you?”
“Yes…… That does seem to be the case.” I blankly mumbled.
The eye color camouflage glasses developed by the genius and handsome inventor of the Empire (1614, The Duhem Rose Limited Edition), were not on my nose. I was stupidly walking around with my guard down and had revealed my purple eyes!
– Tap
Sir Johann appeared at that time and handed Marian a handkerchief and blocked her view. I felt apologetic and embarrassed that I quickly squatted down underneath a window. Gerrit’s daddy, you were late. I was found out in the same pattern as last time!

Oh our clueless Jesse up to his usual sillyness… I also find it funny he keeps calling Johann Gerrit’s daddy.

Jesse, the baby is so shocked he’s stopped crying! What a wonderful way to comfort Marian🤭🤭🤭.
Jesse asks Cedric for permission. The way they interact with each other is so funny and warm, I am happy🙏♥️.
The way Johann take into account the wishes of the his master’s and his attentiveness toward him, is so cute and charming ☺️(he’s definitely trying to be better🥺).
