Trash of the Count’s Family Part 2 Chapter 383: I’m sure it was not enough (8)

Featured

“Hahaha-”

The laughing Alberu…

“Cough.”

And the stoic Cale, who was still wiping the now much less but still flowing blood around his mouth.

“…….”

The Virtual Reality world of New World…

Queen Tamahi of one of the three strongest nations in this vast virtual world, the Lan Kingdom, could not say anything.

She could only blankly stare at the two of them.

“Haha, Cale-”

“What is it, your highness?”

Alberu would normally have cared about who was watching, but…

Alberu, who was happy for some reason, and well, since Alberu had acted a bit more relaxed in this game from the beginning…

“You are still the same.”

He said that and opened up his arms as he approached Cale.

The first time.

Yes, just like the first time the Indestructible Shield appeared in the Roan Kingdom’s capital and saved everybody from Arm’s magic bombs…

Alberu repeated the actions he did after that incident, something he had not done for a long time.

‘What is up with him?’

Cale felt extremely disgruntled, seeing Alberu approaching him with his arms opened wide.

Why?

‘Why is he smiling like that?’

Because Alberu was smiling as if he was truly happy.

Cale felt uneasy and tried to back away, but… Unfortunately, Cale’s physical abilities had lessened since young Master Silver Shield first appeared in this world while Alberu’s physical abilities had grown.

“… What is it, your highness?”

“Hahaha!”

Alberu and Cale ended up sharing a light hug.

Pat pat.

Alberu’s hand was slightly shaking as he patted Cale’s back.

‘Mm.’

Cale could not push Alberu away because he knew this.

‘I suppose he did push himself a bit too much.’

Alberu was skilled in magic, but he could not consider Alberu to be at Raon, no, at Rosalyn’s level.

Alberu was just talented compared to normal people.

He was not able to surpass his limits.

Such a person doing his best to release as much mana as Raon should have burdened his body.

His hand was probably shaking from the aftershock.

“Tsk.”

Cale quietly let out a sigh and moved away from the hug, while still being considerate of Alberu.

“Should I support you, your highness?”

Cale could see that Alberu’s face instantly turned sour.

“You support me?”

Seeing the look of disbelief on Alberu’s face made Cale feel disgruntled as well.

As for Queen Tamahi, who had watched all of this…

“Your Majesty-”

She rejected the hands of the martial artists who came to support her and slowly got up.

Her gaze was still directed at Cale and Alberu.

“…….”

She could not hear what they were saying.

She could listen if she used her internal ki, but she did not wish to do that.

Just seeing the two of them affectionately sharing a hug and chatting…

With the sun-like light and silver light both gone…

With Sir Hin Pao gone…

At the empty beach…

She could only look at the two people standing there.

The Queen subconsciously opened her mouth.

“…Hero-”

Cale had said something to the Queen.

‘We are working together with the hero of the sun who will save New World! And the Kingdom of Darkness is taking action in order to save this world! Haha!’

Of course, Cale had said that he would explain things in detail after meeting with the Prince Consort.

But Queen Tamahi realized it at this moment.

‘Between the two of them-’

One of them is definitely the hero.

And in the fairytales, these heroes always had by their side-

“…Allies.”

Extremely talented and righteous allies.

The three strong.

The term used to describe the Eastern and Western Empires and the Lan Kingdom…

Tamahi had started to feel embarrassed by that term and even started loathing that title at some point.

The wanderers.

When they appeared, she learned that there were truly strong individuals.

Strong individuals who did not usually reveal themselves in this world existed, and that group was trying to swallow up this land.

“…Darkness can only exist when there is light-”

Yes.

The wanderers.

If they are the darkness of this land, shouldn’t there be light as well?

How could the order of this world only lean to one side?

‘No.’

The Queen shook her head.

‘The Kingdom of Darkness?’

The existence of a kingdom that Tamahi had never heard of.

‘I am from the Kingdom of Darkness.’

‘This sir is someone who will become the king of a different place.’

Furthermore, the other one was someone who would soon become king. That meant that another kingdom existed as well.

Two kingdoms that are not recorded in any of the histories of the nations on this land were trying to fight against a group consisting of wanderers and even gods.

In order to save this world.

“Ha-”

She subconsciously scoffed.

There was a faint sense of joy and overwhelm within that scoff.

“…This is not the end but just the beginning.”

Queen Tamahi looked at Cale and Alberu, who were calmly chatting with each other, and thought to herself.

“It was lacking.”

The words that Cale had said toward Sir Hin Pao who was crying about whether his faith was lacking and why the god had cast him away…

Tamahi was understanding those words slightly differently now.

The Lan Kingdom, which had been swaying left and right from the influence of the wanderers…

Because she was weak…

Because she thought it would be difficult to defeat them…

She had been laying low for a long time and barely managed to start this crown prince selection tournament to look for an opportunity to strike back.

How big had the sorrows and pain inside her heart been until now?

She had been anxious that the internal affairs of the Lan Kingdom would be found out by the citizens or even other kingdoms.

As one of the three strongs, the Lan Kingdom could not show a weakness like that.

But now, she changed her way of thinking.

The Lan Kingdom was not enough to fight against the wanderers.

“It is just that we truly were lacking.”

They were just weak.

And that weakness-

“Can be filled.”

She saw a reliable shield that could do that today.

She slowly approached Cale and Alberu.

She had not heard the details from Cale yet, but she could see the general picture now.

She at least knew how to differentiate between her allies and enemies.

It was clear who was more beneficial to them and who was doing this with pure intentions.

“Ah. Are you okay, your Majesty?”

Cale asked her if she was okay despite the blood around his mouth.

Queen Tamahi looked at him for a moment and asked.

“Can we be with you?”

“Excuse me?”

Cale looked confused but Tamahi continued to say what she needed to say.

Today, the Lan Kingdom-

“That alliance that the Kingdom of Darkness is a part of…”

Needed to grasp this opportunity to walk down a new path.

“The Lan Kingdom wishes to join you.”

The Lan Kingdom would become even stronger because of this opportunity.

“We will fill where we are lacking… So I hope you can give us a chance to get stronger, a chance to join you.”

She will be able to protect the Lan Kingdom.

She knew she was weak, but the Queen of the Lan Kingdom confidently continued.

“Will you give us that opportunity?”

As for Cale…

‘Oh.

What a jackpot?’

“Opportunity always has a way of finding the ones who desire it.”

Cale calmly commented before shaking Queen Tamahi’s hand.

He then continued.

“If the Lan Kingdom can be with us, it will be a great boost.”

Smile.

Cale put a good-natured smile on his face.

Smile.

Alberu smiled elegantly as well.

‘As expected.’

Queen Tamahi became certain.

‘These two people were amazing people.’

A kingdom wished to join an alliance.

The two people in front of her made a decision about it immediately.

What would that mean?

‘The leader.’

It meant that the leader of the alliance was here, and that leader-

‘He holds omnipotent power of decision.’

And that person-

‘The black-haired man.’

It was Cale Henituse.

‘That should mean that this blonde man-’

Probably.

‘He should be the hero.’

The hero of the sun.

‘He definitely has some connections to the Sun god.’

Queen Tamahi’s gaze turned deep.

She realized that she was now escaping out of the dark swamp known as the wanderers and the God of Chaos to rise up to the surface and see the refreshing sky.

Smile.

Tamahi smiled.

Cale and Alberu were also still smiling.

– Cale.

The Scary Giant Cobblestone slowly started talking to Cale.

– But doesn’t this queen not know that the Kingdom of Darkness is from the Eight Evils?

– And the crown prince doesn’t have a territory to rule right now. You just said he is someone who will become king in the future.

– Then aren’t we actually an alliance without anything?

‘Be quiet.’

Cale ignored the Super Rock.

He then peeked at Alberu.

Alberu’s gaze as he stood there with a warm smile on his face was telling him something.

‘We will proceed like this for now.’

Why?

It was a good thing to have one of the three strongs as their ally.

“Haha-”

Cale laughed.

“Hahaha!”

Alberu also laughed.

“Haha-”

Queen Tamahi laughed too.

And just like that, the silver shield that appeared in the Lan Kingdom became etched into the minds of the Queen’s closest confidants who were here today.

But the effect it had on the Lan Kingdom may be even greater than the aftershock of So Hee’s fight against the Heavenly Demon.

A few days later.

===================

< Holy shit! Breaking news breaking news!>

===================

A single piece of information started to spread on the RPOG user community, causing chaos.

===================

< Apparently the Lan Kingdom is closing? >

The content is exactly as the title says.

– The kingdom is closing? What are you saying?

– Stopping all diplomatic activity.

Queen entering closed door training.

Heir selection paused.

– Hmm? Stopping diplomatic activities?

– Queen going into closed door training? All of a sudden? Did something happen? What is going on in the Lan Kingdom these days?

===================

This was similar to a sect sealing its doors in the Martial Arts world.

An endless seal without any set expiration date.

But that was not all.

===================

– It is not just the kingdom doing that. The Sky Sword, the Dark Pulse, and the rest of the five major forces (minus the Cooperative Alliance) are all sealing their doors.

– Holy shit. All of them are doing that? Then doesn’t that mean that users won’t have anything to do in the Lan Kingdom anymore?

– No no. That’s not the case.

The five major forces are supposedly gathering an extremely large number of guards. Foreigners (users) or those from other nations are all allowed. They said anybody can apply whether they are veterans or rookies. They will support you for the entire training.

– Oh. Then maybe I should change to being a guard? I don’t have any money so maybe it is worth trying since it is free?

– Hey hey, then doesn’t that mean that the four major forces are not sealing their doors?

– I don’t know. They said they are pausing all external activities.

===================

The users felt chaotic.

However, some of them wished to find out the hidden reason behind these actions.

===================

– So basically…

The Palace itself has sealed its doors.

But the four major forces claim to have sealed their doors while accepting new guards they are willing to fully support until the end of their training?

– If they seal their doors and have stopped all external activities, they should have no source of income. But they want to train a large number of new guards?

===================

They then figured it out.

===================

– This is 100% not the will of the four major forces.

– Y y. This is clearly the kingdom’s wishes.

===================

The Lan Kingdom was clearly moving with a goal right now.

It was such a large goal that the four major forces were willing to follow them without any issues.

===================

– Then doesn’t that mean that the Lan Kingdom is currently recruiting a significant number of guards? They are spending the kingdom’s money to do so.

– Something like that.

===================

And people could only come to a single conclusion.

===================

– …Is the Lan Kingdom preparing for war?

===================

War.

One of the three strongs of New World was preparing for war.

This was enough to excite the entire RPOG user community.

===================

– War seems to be right.

They claim to seal their doors but that seems to be the hidden truth. Other kingdoms may hinder them if they openly increased the number of soldiers. That’s probably why they are doing it like this.

– … Holy shit. Then are we finally getting a war?

===================

People were cheering that large changes were happening throughout RPOG as a result of ‘The Great First Step’ update.

There had been no war between nations until now.

However, a few of them had another question.

===================

– But who is the Lan Kingdom planning on fighting?

===================

They could not figure out the Lan Kingdom’s enemy.

Most of the users answered like this.

===================

– No clue. Guess we will find out later.

===================

They would eventually find out.

As the users and everybody inside the RPOG Virtual Reality world focused on the incident at the Lan Kingdom…

“You mean, ‘The Night of the Beginning,’ the holy land of the God of Chaos, is in the Devil’s Boundary?”

Cale nodded his head.

He was currently staying in a hidden safehouse deep within the Lan Kingdom.

The Guide, Sir Hin Pao. The map of The Night of the Beginning he found in his memories…

That path was headed toward the Devil’s Boundary.

“Yes, your highness. You stayed in the Devil’s Boundary, didn’t you?”

“Yeah.”

“Then you should know it well. Could you please lead the way?”

Alberu was at a loss for words at Cale’s shameless request.

“By the way, what kind of place is the Devil’s Boundary, your highness?”

Rosalyn answered Choi Han’s question.

She repeated the words Alberu had told her in the past.

“A place full of weak and trashy things.”

As Choi Han subtly frowned…

Rosalyn continued to speak.

“But I don’t see it that way.”

Rosalyn pointed at Alberu as Choi Han’s eyes clouded over.

“That is also the place our highness is trying to build his Empire.”

“Hoooo.”

The Heavenly Demon showed interest and looked at Alberu before asking Cale.

“When are we heading there?”

Cale answered with a serious look on his face.

“I’m not sure. I do plan on going as quickly as possible, but…”

He then asked Rosalyn.

“Did Raon contact us?”

Eden Miru.

Cale was currently not getting any information about that punk’s hatching.

“I think I need to go and see what is going on.”

Whether it was The Night of the Beginning… Or the God of Chaos…

It seemed as if he needed to go see the children averaging ten-years-old and Eden Miru.

Trash of the Count’s Family Part 2 Chapter 382: I’m sure it was not enough (7)

It looked serious.

“Your Majesty!”

“What is this? Why did his Royal Highness-!”

Queen Tamahi shouted again to the royal family and her guards.

“Step back! Do not come here!”

She clearly heard what Alberu had said.

‘He’s about to explode.’

Sir Hin Pao’s condition truly was serious.

The grey spear in his hand disappeared.

Goooooooou— guuuoooooooo—

Instead, a grey aura wrapped around his body while making an eerie sound, resembling the grey smoke of a volcano right as it is about to explode.

And this grey aura that was boiling like magma…

Sir Hin Pao’s face was faintly visible through it.

“Ahhhhh—!”

He was in pain.

“Ha-”

Queen Tamahi felt numerous emotions.

Prince Consort Hin Pao. There was no love or affection in her relationship with him.

She did not even hold his hand if they were not in public.

Nonetheless-

“Ahhhhhhhh—!”

She must have at least gotten used to having him with her.

She had thought that she needed to kill him some day because he was the enemy, but… The time spent seeing his face must have had some effect as Tamahi couldn’t help but feel bitter as she watched him in pain.

She was at least relieved that she did not feel sorrow.

In fact, the inside of Tamahi’s mind was quite rational right now.

“Everybody evacuate the island right now!”

She used her internal ki to raise her voice.

“Prepare to cast a barrier outside the lake!”

Her voice reached the Palace Guards waiting outside the lake.

“Cha Run!”

“Yes, your Majesty!”

Cha Run quickly started leading the royal family members.

“Your Majesty, you must evacuate now!”

This serious-looking grey aura…

Cha Run could tell that Tamahi would be no match for it and was telling her to escape, but…

“I will be the last one.”

She said that and shook her head no.

Cha Run had no choice but to evacuate the rest of the royal family.

“Ahhhhh-!”

Hin Pao continued to scream in anger as that happened.

‘It is not that his body is in pain.’

There was a reason Queen Tamahi was feeling sympathy for him.

‘His mind is breaking.’

Hin Pao.

He seemed to not be feeling physical pain but despair in his mind.

‘As for the other side-’

She looked toward Cale and Alberu who were fighting against Hin Pao.

“Ugh-”

Dark red blood poured out of Cale’s mouth again.

“Do you want me to pat your back?”

Cale glared at Alberu and Alberu seriously answered.

“I’m not messing around.”

He supported Cale and helped him stand.

Guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu—!

The eerie noise surrounding Hin Pao was starting to get louder.

Alberu could see a faint silhouette through the grey aura surrounding Hin Pao’s body.

‘Eyes.’

Choi Han said that eyes appeared when they faced the God of Chaos.

Hin Pao would die when those eyes become fully visible.

‘Based on the speed, he will probably explode in less than a few minutes.’

They needed to hurry.

He talked to Cale.

“I can use magic here.”

He could use magic on this island.

That meant-

“I’ll try to stop it. You don’t overdo it and run away. Run as far as you can.”

It meant that there was something Alberu could do.

He said that to Cale and looked toward Queen Tamahi.

He planned on leaving Cale with her.

“Let’s decrease the damage as much as possible.”

It was impossible to completely stop Hin Pao.

However, he should be able to lessen the impact to a degree to allow people to escape.

Squish, squish-

He could hear people running through the lake to escape.

“Aahh–, oh god-!

It was at that moment.

Alberu flinched.

Guuuuuuuuu—

At the center of the grey aura making the eerie noises…

Only Hin Pao’s face appeared.

He was crying grey tears as he shouted.

“Lord–, why have you forsaken me—!”

He was not afraid of death.

It was just-

“Was my faith lacking?”

He felt that it was unfair.

“Why?! Why—!”

His gaze turned toward Cale.

Cale was barely standing there while bleeding.

This guy definitely used an aura that had chaos within it.

It was an intense aura that instantly made Hin Pao feel suffocated.

That wasn’t the Saint’s power.

But this guy could also use the power the Saint used in the early stages.

All these things could only mean one thing.

“Why, why have you bestowed a new chaos to someone like this……?!”

The person in front of him…

The God of Chaos had given this bastard not just the Saint’s power. His god had created a new power to give this bastard as well.

It was a power that someone like him, who had a decently important position and spent his whole life for chaos, could not dare to desire!

Such a power!

Was given to a bastard like this he had never seen before.

“Why?! For what reason?!”

He could not believe it.

The voice flowing out of his mouth had a deeper despair, fear, and sorrow than fear that his life was about to end.

I-

Was I disowned by my god?

He could not say those words out loud.

That was why he could only say these words that described his grudge as he was swept away by chaos.

“Why-”

At that moment…

“I’m sure it was not enough.”

The grey-tear crying Hin Pao heard a nonchalant voice.

“Ahem.”

The voice that barely spoke while coughing up blood was quiet but firm.

Hin Pao looked toward the main cause of all of this, the person who gave him chaos and despair.

Cale continued to speak.

“Your faith.”

Your faith must have not been enough.

Cale said that and then smiled.

He was smiling despite being a bloody mess.

It was similar to a sneer.

‘Motherfucking bastards.’

The Night of the Beginning.

Cale had seen related images as he recorded the path to the Holy Land of Chaos.

One of the things he had seen in Hin Pao’s memories…

Holy Land.

The Night of the Beginning.

That place was a tomb.

It was a tomb without any mourning.

It was an execution ground created for chaos.

In some ways, it was similar to a battlefield.

Numerous lives were lost in this place.

The guide did not only take believers to this place.

Hin Pao had shoved many people, many lives into that chaos.

Cale looked at the guide with a stoic gaze.

Cale said the thing that would hurt most to someone who was thinking that he was abandoned by the god he believed in.

“Your faith was lacking.”

Your faith was lacking.

“Cough.”

He coughed up more blood.

He was feeling a bit better now.

It had not been painful from the beginning, but…

Guuuuuuuu—

“No! My faith was not lacking!”

With the screeching Hin Pao at the center…

Guuuuuuuuuu, guuuuu—!

The grey aura intensely rumbled.

He would explode soon.

Cale stood up straight.

Of course, he was supported by Alberu a bit.

‘Nooo, I said, nooooooooo—!”

Toward the screeching Hin Pao…

Cale continued to speak.

Your faith was lacking.

“And I gained power despite not believing.”

Hin Pao’s screeching stopped.

“…What?”

Hin Pao’s voice was shaking with fear and chaos this time.

He could not even repeat the words he had heard.

But Cale continued to say what he wanted to say.

“The God of Chaos, that crazy bastard. I really hate that motherfucker.”

“……!”

It was no longer despair or fear visible on Hin Pao’s face.

He looked like someone who heard something unbelievable for the first time and could not comprehend it.

It was truly chaos.

As the chaotic state of Hin Pao’s mind reached its peak…

Guuuuuuuuu—!

The eerie sound stopped.

The people escaping flinched and stopped for a moment after realizing the sound stopped.

Everybody turned toward the now silent Hin Pao.

Shaaaaaaaaaaa-

As everything was silent other than the sound of water…

People saw it.

‘An eye.’

An eye appeared in the grey smoke that completely covered Hin Pao.

This unexplainable thing that they could only recognize as an eye was definitely looking at them.

That was the thought everybody had.

They each believed that this eye was ‘accurately’ looking right at them.

And… Their bodies stiffened up.

Blink.

The eye blinked.

Although it only took an instant, people watched it move extremely slowly as if their gazes were tied down to it.

They could not move.

This aura of chaos was incomparable to the one they experienced with bishop Serisa.

People were bewitched by the eye.

But not everybody was affected.

Blink.

The eye blinked again.

As it was about to blink for a third time…

“Snap out of it!”

Someone broke the silence.

Alberu Crossman.

“Duck!”

As he shouted…

“!”

“……!”

People subconsciously moved.

They didn’t know the reason.

They just suddenly felt a warmth on their bodies.

They finally realized that their bodies had gone cold.

They felt a warmth similar to a warm breath touching the back of their hand.

They had no time to realize that this was the warmth of the sun.

Even Alberu didn’t know that.

“I said duck!”

He simply shouted once more.

Blink-

The moment the eye blinked a third time…

People were able to escape from its bewitchment.

They also realized what they had to do.

They had no time to run.

So they ducked and covered their face with their arms out of reflex.

They curled up as much as possible.

Even as all of that happened, they were able to see one final sight in a corner of their eyes.

Alberu.

The bright mana that was as clear as sunlight shooting out of his hand.

The magic barrier imprisoning the exploding Hin Pao.

And one more…

The clear silver thread coming out of Cale’s hand next to Alberu.

The shield and large silver wing appearing at the end of that thread…

Compared to the ominous chaos…

This silver light gave off a light that made you feel warm just looking at it and a refreshing scent as well.

The two lights harmoniously supported each other as they took their spots.

These two lights rising up amidst the chaos…

They made people think about a new sprout shooting up through the mud.

People couldn’t help but blankly stare at the light.

Baaaaaang–

The explosion was so loud that it covered up Hin Pao’s screeching.

People curled their bodies as much as possible.

“Mm.”

Alberu groaned.

He tried copying Raon.

He had created a multi-layered shield.

Drip.

Blood dripped out of his mouth.

‘Ha.’

‘Forget Raon, my magic can’t even reach Rosalyn’s level.’

Alberu felt like his insides were flipping every time a shield broke.

“Ugh-”

He couldn’t stop the groans from coming out.

But he still held on.

He created more shields.

And even more when they broke.

How many times did he do it?

Crack.

Alberu did not stop even as multiple highest-grade magic stones broke.

He wanted to know his limits.

And-

‘Crazy bastard!’

Cale Henituse.

This punk was standing straight and handling more of the aftershock of the explosion than Alberu despite his mouth being covered in blood.

Alberu’s shields did not break easily.

As a result, Cale’s shield outside had to handle even more of the aftershock of the explosion.

‘When did he get so strong?’

Alberu had been there when Cale first used the shield.

Compared to then…

‘This is driving me nuts.’

Cale had truly gotten stronger.

He easily seemed multiple times stronger than when they took down the White Star.

“Mm.”

However, Alberu had no time to think about it.

He didn’t have the luxury right now.

After some time passed…

It was probably not even a few minutes.

Drip.

Once the blood dripping out of Alberu’s mouth turned dark red…

“Haaaaaaaaaa-”

He let out a deep breath.

“…….”

He looked to his side.

Cale was holding his fatigued shoulder.

But Cale Henituse’s shield was still shining radiantly.

“Huuuuuu-”

Alberu let out a deep breath.

His insides were roaring as if his mana was depleted after the sudden excessive use.

‘If it was me-

I wouldn’t have been able to handle Hin Pao.

But Cale Henituse easily handled him.

He did cough up blood, but-

I guess this punk is trying to fight against the God of Chaos after all.’

Such a punk couldn’t be pushed around by someone like Hin Pao, who wasn’t a Saint or even a bishop.

Despite Alberu knowing this-

‘Then what about me?’

He couldn’t help but wonder.

“Mm.”

However, Alberu could not keep thinking as he felt dizzy as if he had motion sickness.

He just stood there looking as if nothing was wrong.

‘I’m sure I can’t even hide this from Cale Henituse-’

That would explain why he is looking at me with such a disrespectful gaze-

‘!’

Alberu could not continue to think.

‘What is going on?’

He felt an unexplainable odd sensation.

His whole body was turning warm.

He subconsciously looked toward the starting point of that feeling.

‘…The sun……-’

The light shining down toward him…

He had never thought that the sun was warm.

In fact, as a quarter Dark Elf, he spent more time avoiding the sun.

But now, fully receiving the light of the sun-

That light feeling warm-

‘How weird.’

It was truly a weird sensation.

“…….”

And his churning insides calmed down.

Boooooooom-

Despite the ground still shaking from the aftershock of the explosion… The sunlight directed at Alberu remained constant.

It made sense because the sun never changed.

‘Something-’

He felt like he could grasp something.

But Alberu could also feel that it was not time yet.

He turned away from the sun.

Shaaaaaaaaaaa-

He could only hear the sound of water.

Nothing, not even the grey smoke, was left where Hin Pao had been standing.

All that he could see was the radiant wing and the shield.

Alberu suddenly recalled the first time he saw this shield.

He thought to himself.

One other thing that had not changed since the first time he saw it was Cale Henituse.

“It’s worth trying.”

And his disrespectful and arrogant demeanor as well.

It sure had not changed.

“Ha, haha-”

Alberu couldn’t help but laugh.

Shaaaaaaaaaaa-

His relaxed laughter seeped through the top of the Silent Lake.

“…….”

“…….”

The people of the Lan Royal Family looked completely blanked out as they watched Alberu and Cale.

Trash of the Count’s Family Part 2 Chapter 381: I’m sure it was not enough (6)

The Lan Kingdom, the third of the three strongs including the Eastern and Western Empires.

This kingdom that was known as the land of martial artists had an especially special place called the Holy Land within the palace.

The Lan Kingdom’s Holy Land.

That was a place only the ruler and their family could freely enter, and anybody else needed permission from the ruler to enter.

The current Queen, Tamahi.

And her husband, Prince Consort Hin Pao.

Cale peeked at the half-transparent window.

[Skill: Fear of Chaos (Deactivated)]

[*You must go to the Holy Land of the God of Chaos to remove the deactivated status. – See more-]

Sub quest 1. [Steal the power of chaos]

‘Sir Hin Pao appeared in Serisa’s memories.’

Although Serisa was officially known as a bishop of the Church of the Sun God…

She had been a believer of the God of Chaos.

Cale had met her at the academy in the Western Empire’s capital and had received a hint regarding the Holy Land from her memories.

‘Sir Hin Pao has a map to the Holy Land.’

Serisa had received her orders from the Holy Land and Sir Hin Pao had been the one to lead her there.

Shaaaaaaaaaaa-

He could hear water.

Cale raised his head and looked around.

“This must be that lake.”

The center of the Lan Kingdom.

A lake was there with a small island at the center of it.

The Queen and her close family resided on this island.

“How amazing.”

Alberu looked at the lake as if he was quite amused.

Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-

Water was flowing despite it being a lake.

This lake was as large as multiple tournament stages put together.

Shaaaaaaaaaaa-

The surface of the lake was not calm.

In fact there were many different flows of water crashing and wrapping around each other.

Cale watched this and mischievously commented.

“You would probably die if you fell in?”

Queen Tamahi calmly answered.

“Yes sir. You would die.”

“Mm.”

Cale flinched.

Tamahi didn’t care and walked toward the lake without any hesitation.

“The Silent Lake.”

That was the name of the Holy Land.

“Water flows as it pleases without rest underneath the surface that cannot be seen.”

“Sometimes, they crash into and fight each other.”

“Other times, they embrace each other and become one. However…”

“Water does not end up becoming one and it does not stop.”

Descriptions of the Silent Lake flowed out of her mouth.

“It is like the sea.”

The surface was like the sea.

“It can even become a swamp.”

The people who got swept up by the water would feel as if they were being dragged into a swamp.

“Those who fall into this place will find their silence through the endlessly fighting water.”

Silence.

Alberu mumbled that word before speaking.

“Silence means death.”

“That is correct.”

There was an island at the center of the lake, but there wasn’t a single boat headed there.

Queen Tamahi looked at the guards at a distance before looking at Alberu, Cale, and her only subordinate to come with her, Cha Run, before stepping into the lake.

“But there is a path to avoid death.”

Splash.

The moment her shoe touched the surface of the lake…

Shaaaaaaaaaaa-

Through the sound of water…

Drip. Drip. Drip.

They could hear drops of water.

– Hoo.

Cale could hear the Sky Eating Water gasp and looked up.

Water drops suddenly appeared in the air.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

The water drops were all making one line.

They then fell to the surface of the lake.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

They then created a path in front of Tamahi.

Without fighting, without embracing…

The quietly fallen water drops created a silent path.

It was a path wide enough for two people to walk side by side.

“Please come this way.”

Tamahi extended her hand and Cha Run, Alberu, and Cale followed in that order.

Splash.

Cale placed his foot on the only silent part of this lake that continued to make noises.

‘Mm.’

Cale felt an odd sensation at that moment.

[You have arrived in a sealed region.]

The status window kindly explained to him.

[In this region (The Silent Lake and island exempted) no magic or aura can be used.]

[Only those with permission are allowed to enter.]

Ah.

This must have been what she meant when she said that someone could not use magic to fly over the lake to arrive on the island.

Squish, squish.

He felt like he was walking down a slightly wet dirt path.

Cale took a breath of the refreshing air as he walked.

‘Hmm?’

He then flinched after seeing crown prince Alberu in front of him.

‘What is going on?’

The sword on Alberu’s side…

This sword that was covered by the scabbard, the Sun Sword, was a divine item of the Sun God that only the hero could use.

Sparkle.

It was faintly glowing underneath the scabbard.

‘No.

Why does it look like it is absorbing light?’

It oddly felt like the light around them was heading toward the sword.

“Oh.”

Cale was amazed.

“What is it?”

Alberu reacted at Cale’s voice and turned around before flinching.

“…Why?”

Why do you have such a look on your face?

Seeing Alberu being unable to say that out loud made Cale snicker.

“It’s nothing, your highness.”

‘I’ll tell him later.’

Cale decided on that and smiled innocently.

“…Haaa.”

Alberu let out a deep sigh before turning around.

‘What is up with him?’

Cale scowled, feeling like he got cursed at for no reason.

But he soon had to get rid of the scowl.

‘Prince Consort Hin Pao.’

There were many stylish pavilions on the island.

They weren’t flashy, but they felt very quiet yet dignified the closer they got.

Every blade of grass, every single flower…

Everything was in perfect harmony. And although no jewels or gold could be seen…

“Ah-”

The harmony was so beautiful that even crown prince Alberu gasped in admiration.

“Your Majesty.”

The Prince Consort had come out to greet the Queen.

‘He’s known for being extremely dedicated.’

Hin Pao, who was from a pretty influential noble family, had put down all power and authority since becoming Tamahi’s husband to focus on his duties as the Prince Consort.

‘But he is a believer of the God of Chaos.’

He was one who was cooperating with the Five Colors Bloods to keep an eye on the Queen.

“Your Majesty. Are these sirs the heroes who blocked the Cooperative Alliance?”

Sir Hin Pao looked more like a scholar than a martial artist.

Unlike the strong-looking Queen Tamahi, his slightly pale complexion made people think of a fluttering flower petal when they looked at him.

“That is correct.”

The Queen smiled and took a step onto the ground.

Cha Run politely greeted Hin Pao. Alberu was behind him.

Cale, who was in the way back making his appearance was hidden, slowly revealed himself.

Hin Pao.

He was smiling gently.

Smile.

Cale smiled picturesquely as well.

“?”

However, Hin Pao soon looked confused.

Cale didn’t greet him.

Alberu didn’t greet him either.

These two regular folks were not greeting the Prince Consort.

He hesitated for a moment but he maintained his peaceful smile and looked toward the Queen.

“Your Majesty. Could you please introduce them to me?”

His gentle voice was refined and calm.

“Mm.”

Queen Tamahi’s face looked a bit concerned when she opened her mouth.

Cale had told her that he would take care of the rest if she brought him here to meet the Prince Consort.

‘I didn’t expect him to come out to greet us.’

The fact that the Prince Consort so warmly came out here by himself without his guards was out of her expectations.

That should mean that he was that curious about these two people who had defeated So Hee.

“These people-”

As Queen Tamahi started to speak…

“Oh guide.”

Cale said a single sentence.

“!”

Tamahi saw something for the first time.

“!”

She had never seen such a disturbed look on Prince Consort Hin Pao’s face before.

It was similar to the surface of the water in this Holy Land.

Intense emotions were visible on his face.

“Guide?”

As the Queen repeated that word…

Cale took some steps forward.

“Or should I call you messenger?”

Guide or messenger.

It meant that Hint Pao was not just a regular believer but someone with a position in the Church of the God of Chaos.

Cale continued to speak to the flustered Hin Pao.

“The Night of the Beginning.”

Hin Pao’s face instantly changed.

Oooooo-

Grey aura started to rise from his body.

“You dare to say that name-!”

The Night of the Beginning.

That was the name of the Holy Land of the God of Chaos.

“Who are you?”

A weapon wrapped in a grey aura started to form in Hin Pao’s hand.

Different from the time with Bishop Serisa, it was a long spear.

“Ho!”

Cha Run became shocked and stood in front of the Queen.

Prince Consort Hin Pao.

He was known to not know any martial arts.

“Me?”

However, Cale continued to walk toward Hin Pao.

Alberu followed behind him as if to guard him, but Cale didn’t care.

He was waiting for something.

[You have made contact with the Guide of Chaos (Sir Hin Pao)!]

The quest alarm came up.

‘I’m not flustered anymore.’

Cale saw the sentence he saw last time.

[‘Skill: Fear of Chaos (Legend)’ is being used.]

This sentence had appeared when he fought against Bishop Serisa.

[*Although it is an AOE skill, it will only be used on ‘Hin Pao’ this time for the progression of the quest.]

It was a legend skill that was only temporarily unlocked to proceed with the quest.

Oooooo– oooooo–

The grey aura rose up with an eerie sound.

“!”

It was truly different from the time with Serisa.

“H, how, this power-”

Hin Pao recognized this power.

[If the Fear of Chaos is used on a believer of the God of Chaos, there is a low chance (30%) of the opponent being deluded and dominated.]

[The rate will change based on the mastery level of the skill.]

[Current skill mastery level: F (However, it will temporarily be fluctuated to A for the progression of the quest)]

He was not deluded immediately.

[The opponent successfully resisted!]

The skill failed.

As a result-

Baaaaang!

Cale could see a grey spear heading toward him.

There was a loud noise and Cale took a step back.

“He is quite strong.”

Alberu had moved in front of Cale at some point to block the spear.

His main weapon, the white spear, was starting to crack.

Craaaaaaack-

“You dare to use that mighty power!”

Sir Hin Pao swung his spear again.

Ooooooooo—

One thing was clear about this grey aura gathering around him.

‘He is stronger than I am!’

Queen Tamahi could feel Hin Pao’s true abilities.

A believer of the God of Chaos who deals with the Five Colors Bloods.

It would be bad if he was weak.

‘It wasn’t just the wanderers aiming for our kingdom!’

Tamahi finally realized that the one trying to swallow this kingdom was the Church of the God of Chaos that was in between them and the wanderers, keeping an eye on them.

“Your Majesty!”

“Protect her majesty!”

Their family and guards tried to approach, but…

“Stop!”

Tamahi stopped them and pulled out her sword.

“Martial Scholar, step back!”

“Yes, your Majesty!”

Cha Run recognized that his level of abilities would not be of any assistance and quickly withdrew while Tamahi charged toward where Alberu and Hin Pao were fighting.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

Her heart was beating wildly.

‘I’m scared!’

She was feeling scared right now.

Oooooo– oooooo–

Hin Pao’s spear art was strong but it was the things coming out of this grey aura that made her full of fear.

“Mm.”

Alberu groaned.

Spear arts.

Aura.

Power.

Every aspect of Hin Pao was stronger than Alberu’s spear art.

‘I can’t use my magic.’

Alberu was planning on holding out as long as possible rather than showing everything he had. He wasn’t even thinking about the Sun Sword.

He moved his spear with a stoic look on his face.

“I’ll help!”

Queen Tamahi swung her sword to get involved at that time.

“That’s okay, your Majesty.”

However, Alberu declined her.

“What?”

Tamahi was confused.

“How arrogant! You will have to spill everything out of your mouths!”

Hin Pao swung the spear a little stronger.

His mind was in a rush right now.

‘The wanderer, So Hee, was captured.’

The fact that she was suddenly captured like this must mean that there was an issue with their plan.

Furthermore, he also heard that Bishop Serisa was imprisoned by the Church of the Sun God.

‘This situation-’

He was certain it was because of these bastards.

Alberu and Cale…

Hin Pao’s gaze sank deeply while looking at the two of them.

Guide.

The one who knows the way to the Holy Land.

Cale had mentioned that title and the name of the Holy Land.

Hin Pao knew that he needed to quickly escape, but he could not run away because he figured out Cale’s identity.

‘He also copied the Saint-nim’s power.’

No.

It wasn’t copying.

‘It was similar to the Saint-nim in his early days.’

A genius Saint that the Church of the God of Chaos may never see again…

He had been able to use the power of chaos to a high level from the moment he awakened the power.

But this bastard in front of him was using just as much of that power.

‘Who the hell is he?’

There was only one Saint in the world.

That was why-

‘Who is this bastard?

Is he a believer of the God of Chaos?

Is he an ally?

No.’

That was not possible.

Why would this guy use the power of chaos on an ally?

In addition, he was not just a regular believer, but the guide.

‘Maybe-’

Did our god do something?

Has something happened without my knowledge?

‘What is going on?

…Seriously, what is going on?’

Hin Pao could not run away. But he also could not fight at full power. His mind started to turn chaotic.

It was at that moment.

“We can capture him if we work together!”

As Queen Tamahi did not miss that opening and addressed Alberu again…

“I don’t think it is our turn, your Majesty.”

Alberu said that and stepped back.

“!”

Hin Pao became confused, but…

Alberu made eye contact with Cale again as he withdrew.

“!”

Queen Tamahi could now feel true fear.

Hin Pao.

The fear she felt from him was definitely primal, one that made her feel like the nights she got scared when she was young.

‘That’s why I could ignore it.’

It was something she could overcome as she grew up.

However-

‘True fear-’

No.

Accurately speaking, this was not fear.

This was the feeling of her entire body being dominated.

The feeling that she needed someone’s permission to even breathe-

But still, this primal fear she could feel inside it…

It was similar to a herbivore being scared of predatory beasts and that fear becoming worse as they get older.

This was a fear that the more you know…no, it was a fear she did not want to know.

The moment she fell into this swamp, she would automatically feel the desire to be dominated.

“Ah.”

Tamahi felt an even greater fear and domination as she released the hand holding the sword.

As for Alberu, he was just shaking his head with his arms crossed.

“…T, this, what-”

The Dominating Aura had even made So Hee submit.

That power was focused on Hin Pao.

What Alberu and Queen Tamahi were feeling were just the overflowing aura.

“T, this is not the c, chaos that I know-”

Chaos was inside this power as well.

He could feel it trying to dominate him.

‘What is going on?’

His chaotic mind became worse and it eventually turned into fear.

Cale approached Hin Pao and used the skill again.

[‘Skill: Fear of Chaos (Legend)’ is being used.]

[Look into the opponent’s eyes after putting them in a state of fear to read a portion of their memories.]

The skill succeeded.

Hin Pao was already in a state of fear after all.

[Skill : Dominating Aura (Grade : EX. Impossible to determine)]

The Fear of Chaos skill was at the legend grade, but…

The Dominating Aura was unranked. It prevented him from knowing the grade of the Dominating Aura, but…

It should at least be as strong as a legendary skill.

And-

[This skill is capable of growth.]

It was impossible to determine, but it was capable of growth.

[Reading her memories.]

[*As this is only a preview, you will only see memories related to the quest.]

[A believer completely dominated by the Fear of Chaos will move according to their final goal or mission.]

“Ahhhhh—”

Hin Pao screeched.

Cale did not care and continued to read his memories.

Guide.

The one who knows the map to their Holy Land, the Night of the Beginning.

That map naturally did not physically exist.

It simply existed inside his mind as a memory.

The Quest informed Cale of that memory to proceed.

[Acquired the map.]

Of course, it popped up in a window to make it convenient, but Cale did not need that.

He had already finished recording it in his mind.

Drip.

[A side effect has been discovered regarding the skill!]

[Side effect: Coughing up blood]

[*The side effect can be mitigated by raising the mastery level.]

[Current mastery level: 0]

[*Warning: Even with an increase in mastery level, it is highly likely that the side effect will happen based on the level of power utilized.]

Since he used his power two times-

Cale’s mouth opened on its own.

“Cough-”

He really coughed up blood.

“Haa, this is driving me nuts.”

Alberu sighed and helped support Cale.

“Cough, ugh!”

Alberu calmly addressed Cale who continued to cough up blood.

“He looks like he is about to explode.”

Cale barely managed to force his shaking body to stand up straight and looked forward.

Guide.

The one who knows the way to the Holy Land.

‘Fuck-’

His final mission was death in case the information was revealed.

– Cale, this explosion looks like it would be no joke!

As the Super Rock mentioned, this explosion seemed as if it would be quite intense.

Hin Pao had two final missions.

His own death for the information being revealed.

Also the death of the person who learned the information.

Cale didn’t know for sure, but he could make a hypothesis based on the grey aura wrapping around Hin Pao’s body and boiling.

This looks like-

– Should I do something?

The Indestructible Shield calmly asked.

It looked as if he would need to use his shield again as he had done with Bishop Serisa.

“F, fuc, cough, fuuuuuck……!”

Cale needed to say what he wanted to say despite intensely coughing up blood.

Trash of the Count’s Family Part 2 Chapter 380: I’m sure it was not enough (5)

Cale sat down next to Alberu and looked into the half transparent window he opened.

“What a mess.”

“Dongsaeng, think about what we’ve done. How can it not be a mess?”

The smiling Alberu seemed happy.

Cale looked away from that smile with an unsettled look on his face and stared at the screen.

===================

< Holy shit. The Tournament got fucked! >

===================

The many communities focused on RPOG was quite a mess, not just in the Lan Kingdom Community Board but the General Community Board as well.

===================

< Hey, hey! The sky above the stadium turned weird right now? What is going on? What’s happening? >

What is happening in the Lan Kingdom right now?

Only the sky above the stadium has turned dark red?

Did a hell field spawn or something?

– Holy shit. Not a hell field. I’m currently escaping.

– What? Explain more.

– The Alliance leader of the Cooperative Alliance was a spy.

– Wow. I’m the victor since I was in that stadium.

– How was it?

– To be honest with you, I didn’t get a good look.

– Why?

– You had to run if you didn’t want to die, lol.

But Kim Hae-Yi, the Alliance leader of the Cooperative Alliance… I’m sure the two of them are a part of a different larger quest.

Their main goal can’t just be aiming for the position of the Lan Kingdom’s heir. I think this was a clue into a much larger episode.

===================

Kim Hae-Yi.

That name was slowly starting to be mentioned in the main community board.

===================

< The Strongest Under the Heavens Competition must have a hidden scheme! >

< White threads, dark red cloud... What skills are they? >

< Suspicious groups that even the Lan Queen doesn’t know about have appeared! >

===================

All sorts of titles were popping up.

But one of them caught Cale’s attention.

===================

< Video up. >

One of the users who went to see the match put it up. ‘Wow, holy shit. So it must mean this guy is an NPC. How strong is he?

Is this a skill the users can use as well?

– Kim Hae-Yi? Who is he?

– No clue. I originally thought he was an NPC who appeared for the quest, but that doesn’t seem to be it. Based on what I’ve seen, there seems to be some hidden scheme in the Lan Kingdom.

– The Cooperative Alliance is a joke now?

===================

He clicked the video link.

Baaaaang! Baaaaang-

The white threads struck down to imprison the stadium.

Ruuuumble-

The dark red cloud was created, but after that, the user was running out of the stadium as he continued to film.

– Holy shit! This is so dope.

Many emotions were visible in the user’s comments.

Cale then looked at the comments below.

===================

– Wow. You are amazing for filming this. Well, it looks like an illegal feed if you ask me.

– Yeah yeah, you are not allowed to record the Strongest Under the Heavens Competition.

– Even people the Transparent © give permission to do that?

– Yeah yeah, there are no official ones either.

– Oh this motherfucker. Everybody else is running away but he’s staying as long as possible to record it. Tsk tsk.

– You are also amazing for coming to see such a vid.

– Do you want to get fucked up?

– Oo oo.

===================

“Oh.”

Cale made a comment while looking at the video.

“I’m relieved. Choi Han and my face are not visible.”

Everybody had left the stadium before the masked Cale or Choi Han appeared to fight So Hee.

The people who saw Cale, Choi Han, and Alberu were the people who remained with the Queen until the end.

Furthermore, Cale and Choi Han had already changed their hair colors.

People shouldn’t recognize them from a distance.

“The Heavenly Demon’s face is known but that shouldn’t matter since his face was already known.”

“What about me?”

Alberu smiled and asked, making Cale smile back.

“As for you, your highness, wouldn’t it be best to show your face every so often for the future? You are the future hero accepted by the sun.”

“…….”

Hero. That word made Alberu look unsettled.

He still didn’t seem to like that word.

‘How rare.’

He openly wanted the position of Emperor but did not want to be a hero.

‘I don’t want either.’

Neither Emperor nor hero made Cale’s heart thump.

Only-

‘Slacker.’

Only that one word made Cale’s heart thump wildly.

Cale leaned against the couch.

“Our info should have been sent to the Five Colors Bloods.”

Alberu answered as if he understood.

“The video went down.”

“Already?”

“I’m sure the Transparents took it down.”

The Transparent © had the video taken down.

The meaning behind this was simple.

“The Transparent Bloods are going to be looking for us.”

“I’m sure they will look for the Heavenly Demon the most since his face is known. What do you think?”

At Cale’s question, the Heavenly Demon, who was seated in lotus position, opened his mouth.

“It doesn’t matter.”

Whether it was the Transparent Bloods or the wanderers… The Heavenly Demon didn’t care who looked for him.

“I do not plan on staying here for the time being.”

The Heavenly Demon was a mid-level NPC \.

Once all things were resolved, he would disappear from the Lan Kingdom.

“There is something for me to confirm in the Demon Cult.”

He planned on going back to the Demon Cult to settle his new power and train.

The Heavenly Demon should be much stronger by the time he appears again in New World.

‘And the Demon Cult as well.’

The Demon Cult that would be running even wilder under their sky would be with him.

“Mm. Heavenly Demon-nim?”

Alberu awkwardly called out to the Heavenly Demon.

“What is it sir?”

The Heavenly Demon also showed his respect by speaking a bit formally to Alberu.

Alberu smiled brightly at the Heavenly Demon who had his eyes closed.

“If I create an Empire here, what do you think about creating a home for the Demon Cult on my territory?”

The Heavenly Demon slowly opened his eyes.

“…….”

He stared at the smiling Alberu and chuckled.

“As expected of Kim Hae-il’s hyung-nim.”

He then closed his eyes.

“I will think about it.”

“I hope those thoughts end up in a positive direction.”

Cale looked back and forth at Alberu and the Heavenly Demon and then shook his head.

He couldn’t believe that neither of them questioned whether Alberu could even create an Empire.

“What is it?”

Alberu elegantly smiled as if he was very happy and asked Cale, who smiled back.

“Nothing, your highness. It isn’t much. I just thought that the friendship between the two of you is very beautiful.”

“Tsk.”

Both Alberu and the Heavenly Demon clicked their tongues and looked away from Cale.

Knock knock knock.

Someone knocked at that moment and Choi Han opened the door.

He immediately informed Cale.

“The Martial Scholar has arrived.”

The once again bamboo hat-wearing Choi Han’s comment made the three of them get up.

They then split into two groups of two.

“Choi Han.”

Cale walked over to Choi Han’s side. The Heavenly Demon was standing next to Choi Han.

“I leave it to you.”

The Heavenly Demon laughed and answered.

“Interrogation is my specialty. But you are not asking me to do it?

Ah.”

He gasped as if he understood what Cale meant and spoke peacefully to Choi Han.

“Don’t let her die until I interrogate her. It would be bad if she died.”

Smile.

The Heavenly Demon smiled and Choi Han awkwardly shook his head.

“Of course.”

He then looked right into Cale’s eyes.

“Please don’t worry, Cale-nim. I’ll go find out as much as possible.”

The Heavenly Demon and Choi Han…

The two of them would go into the deepest underground prison in the Lan Kingdom to face So Hee.

The two of them should be good to get information from So Hee.

The Queen’s instructor, Cha Run, opened his mouth.

“Please follow this person here.”

An attendant bowed toward Choi Han and the Heavenly Demon.

The three of them left and Cale motioned to Alberu, who was naturally standing next to him, and then addressed Cha Run.

“Could you please lead the way?”

“Yes, Right this way.”

Cha Run started to walk to a spot in the palace that was stealthy for a different reason than the underground prison.

* * *

“Thank you for making time despite it being so busy.”

Cale smiled and took a sip of his tea.

The deep yet savory taste made his mouth feel good.

“Yes, it is quite rowdy right now. It’s been a while since it has been this rowdy since I became Queen.”

Queen Tamahi also took a sip of tea and happily responded.

The Lan Kingdom’s capital was quite rowdy right now.

All sorts of talk was spreading because of what happened in the stadium.

The Strongest Under the Heavens Competition to determine the heir was temporarily halted.

The Cooperative Alliance, one of the five major forces, was being scorched.

Despite being the largest of the five major forces and having the most martial artists, they were not able to defeat the royal family.

Furthermore, the other four major forces were cooperating with the royal family.

“So- can you tell me what is going on, mister?”

Queen Tamahi was being respectful to Cale to some degree.

She did so while smiling.

However, a chill could be felt beneath her smile.

“Mm.”

Cale shrugged his shoulders for a bit as if he was thinking before looking at the Queen.

“Do you know the Blood Demon?”

“…….”

The Queen did not answer.

However, Cale did not miss her shaking pupils.

“Ah, maybe you know her as Bluey here?”

The Blood Demon, the leader of the Blue Bloods.

She was the fourth ranked user in RPOG named Bluey.

“Mm.”

The Queen groaned.

“Who was the next heir before this competition?”

The Queen let out a despondent smile at Cale’s continued question.

“I think you already know. Why are you asking?”

This was basically admitting that the Blood Demon had been the next heir.

Cale nonchalantly informed her.

“Bluey disappeared, right?”

“…That-”

“We killed her.”

“!”

The tea in the Queen’s cup was shaking.

“You know about the wanderers, right?”

Cale continued to throw questions.

The Queen looked at him and clenched her eyes shut.

“I didn’t know about So Hee.”

“But you do know other wanderers. Were you being threatened by them?”

“I was just a scarecrow.”

It wasn’t a long conversation, but he could guess the story.

And this was enough for Cale.

So he asked this question.

“Are you trying to get out of their grasp?”

“That is the plan. However, it is not easy.”

Cale stared at the sadly commenting Queen Tamahi and asked.

“Is it because of the Prince Consort?”

“!”

Tamahi was finally unable to hide her shock and it clearly showed.

“That-”

“The Prince Consort should be a believer of a certain god.”

“-!”

“He should also be cooperating with the wanderers.”

“Ho-”

Cale did not beat around the bush to the shocked Queen.

“I wish to meet the Prince Consort.”

“…So you really didn’t care about the heir position.”

“Yes, your majesty. We participated because we wish to meet the Prince Consort.”

“…What do you plan on doing once you meet the Prince Consort?”

Cale smiled at Tamahi’s question.

“No matter what it is, I promise it would be beneficial to his Royal Highness.”

She took a sip of tea instead of responding to him.

She needed to calm herself down first.

The Blood Demon.

The Wanderers.

The Prince Consort.

She never expected all those terms to come out of this person’s mouth.

She needed to organize her thoughts.

That was why she asked the first thing she needed to know.

“Who are you all?”

The identity of these people.

She didn’t even know that.

“We-”

Cale looked at Alberu, who was leisurely sipping tea next to him, then looked back at the Queen and answered.

“We are an alliance.”

“…An Alliance?”

“I am from the Kingdom of Darkness.”

Cale pointed toward Alberu.

“This sir is someone who will become the king of a different place.”

Well, it would be an Emperor and not a king…

And he still didn’t have a territory to claim yet…

But either way, he was a future Emperor.

“W, what do you mean by that?”

Queen Tamahi was unable to hide her shock for the first time and stuttered.

“Haha, it is exactly as I said, your Majesty.”

Cale was smiling like he was a good person.

Alberu, who was leisurely drinking tea and watching, thought to himself.

‘I should just stay quiet.’

There was no harm if he just stayed quiet when his dongsaeng was doing something like this.

And-

‘It is beneficial to me.’

Alberu didn’t reveal the truth since Cale was already taking care of turning him into a king.

Raon would say that both of them were the same if he was looking at them, but both Cale and Alberu were serious.

Seeing the two of them looking serious made Queen Tamahi slowly open her mouth again.

“…The Kingdom of Darkness… And this sir is a King……?”

“Yes, your majesty. That is correct!”

Cale responded cheerfully before delivering his request.

“I wish to slowly discuss the details after meeting with the Prince Consort first. Ah. But you should at least know this, your Majesty!”

The Prince Consort. He needed to meet the Queen’s husband to quickly finish this quest.

The Wanderers.

Those bastards should think that they are subordinates of the God of Chaos after receiving So Hee’s report.

Cale needed the Saint’s power for ‘Arm’ to officially start its actions.

He also needed to save Choi Jung Gun.

“…Something I should know?”

“Yes, your majesty. Something you should know!”

Cale spoke efficiently and cheerfully.

“We are working together with the hero of the sun who will save New World! And the Kingdom of Darkness is taking action in order to save this world! Haha!”

“Pfffft-”

Alberu, who had been elegantly enjoying his tea, spit out the tea in his mouth.

A few moments later, Cale headed with the Queen, whose mind was in quite the chaos, to meet the Prince Consort in the deepest spot in the palace.

Of course, he ignored the flabbergasted Alberu’s gaze.

Translator’s Comments

Cale’s so used to Alberu glaring at him he just ignores it.

Trash of the Count’s Family Part 2 Chapter 379: I’m sure it was not enough (4)

“Ahhh…ugh……!”

So Hee was covering her eyes with her hand but still could not believe this situation.

Bang! Baaaaang! Bang!

The white threads that lost strength fell to the ground and became dyed by the dark red light.

‘How-!’

So Hee could not believe it.

“Ugh, how–!”

How could he cut through my white threads so easily?

She couldn’t believe it despite seeing it with her own eyes.

Kim Hae-Yi.

That guy had turned his unique power into his own form.

The seed had sprouted.

It was also a higher level unique power than So Hee’s.

‘But still-!’

Still, Kim Hae-Yi’s unique power had not been able to stop all of So Hee’s power.

All it managed to do was dye her white threads dark red.

‘That’s normal!’

Even if the levels were important when it came to unique powers, there was a lot of trial and error for a seed to sprout properly and grow roots.

‘So how-’

So how was the bastard who had been fighting with her until moments ago… He had not even sprouted his unique power properly!

He only had a seed!

It didn’t even have a proper form!

So how can he suppress my power with just his presence?

‘This is possible?’

So Hee had a thought in the chaos.

‘No way!’

One thing…

There was one possibility.

‘Five Colors-’

A level that only three people currently had in the Five Colors Bloods.

‘So is his power at the Five Colors level?’

But the Five Colors level was not just given out.

After the deal with the Divine race, only a portion of the wanderers developed unique powers.

Among them, the Five Colors level-

“Ah.”

A smile appeared on So Hee’s face.

She lowered the hands that had been covering her eyes.

She couldn’t see anything through her closed eyes.

All she could feel was the blood dripping down.

She put her hands on the ground and looked up.

“You-”

The bastard who cut her…

“You are not just a normal single-lifer.”

Apparently there were those who were born with fate.

“You have the fate of a hero-”

A hero who would save a world.

You needed to be at least at that level to be qualified to have a power greater than the Transparent level.

“You were one of those bastards!”

He wasn’t someone like So Hee, who started from the bottom and ended her life without being able to overcome that differential. Not an existence that became a single-lifer, but-

Those lucky bastards who were born with the fate to become heroes!

“Fuck!”

She could not hold back her anger.

‘I worked my ass to get here-!’

They don’t know shit about what I had to do to get here!

I did all sorts of things to enter the Five Colors Bloods!

Oh how they looked down on me for being the weakest in the Five Colors Bloods!

Despite that, she persisted.

In order to create her own territory in the future-

‘To create my own kingdom!

I worked so hard for this!

I got rid of all obstacles, and absorbed all nutrients that could be helpful for me getting stronger!

I did all that to get this far!

But to lose like this to a halfwit whose unique power isn’t even fully developed……!’

She felt extremely wronged.

‘Who the hell is this bastard……?!’

She then had a thought.

‘Yeah. Who is this guy?

Why didn’t I know about a guy like this until now?’

She opened her mouth.

“Who are you? You, who the hell are you?”

She could not use her unique power properly now that her eyes were injured.

It was difficult to escape as well.

“Who are you?!”

So she needed to at least know one thing.

She was certain that at least one of the wanderers would come to save her.

Even if she was the lowest-ranking member, there was still quite a bit that she knew.

“Now-”

Tell me now! Who are you?!

Screeeeech-

The eerie screeching started around her again.

It sounded as if it would explode.

So Hee shouted as if she expected that to happen.

“Reveal your identity now! Otherwise, we will all explode!”

It was at that moment.

“You are threatening us despite having no thoughts about dying?”

She heard a nonchalant voice.

“!”

So Hee felt her whole body go stiff.

It was not just her.

“Your Majesty, please hurry-”

“Mm.”

Queen Tamahi had been quickly heading to the stage with her subordinates before she stopped.

It was not because she wanted to do so.

It could not be helped.

“!”

She suddenly felt suffocated.

Shaaaaaaaaaa-

A strand of wind.

The stadium was now so quiet that they could hear the wind.

Only the Queen, her confidants, and a few martial artists were left here.

They were all people in the Lan Kingdom with high levels of martial arts or experts in different fields with lots of experience.

Nonetheless-

“…….”

“…….”

Nobody could easily open their mouths.

The sky was still dark red, but the white threads and the black yong were now gone that they had been thinking that the stage was just a bit darker than usual. But all of that changed.

The people who had been feeling relieved at the peace that finally arrived got chills on their bodies.

“……!”

Queen Tamahi’s pupils started shaking.

She looked toward someone.

It wasn’t the Heavenly Demon, Choi Han, or even Alberu who was next to her.

The person she was looking at-

‘The mask-’

It was the masked Cale.

Tamahi looked down at her hand.

“…….”

Her fingertips were shaking.

She had goosebumps on the back of her hand.

There was no sound.

She couldn’t see it either.

But there was still something there suppressing her.

‘Fear-’

This had to be fear.

However, it was not violent.

It was gentle.

The fear that gently arrived slowly started to push down on her, making her feel as if she was sinking in a swamp.

She then slowly started to feel it.

What this fear was-

‘I can’t tell.’

This was a fear she did not know.

I made her think of too many things but also nothing at the same time.

‘It just-’

She recalled a scary night she had as a child.

‘What is this?’

This was making humans think about their underlying fear.

It was also slowly suffocating her as if to take control of her.

‘This is a warning.’

Queen Tamahi realized it.

She realized that the masked man was warning them.

And-

‘He is giving us a warning, but-’

He was treating the enemy differently.

She could feel that.

“Ugh!”

Because So Hee let out a deep groan.

It was different from the scream when she hurt her eyes.

The groan that came from deep inside of her was clearly showing what kind of situation she was in right now.

“Ugh, ugh!”

She put more strength into the hands touching the ground.

Her whole body was shaking.

A little bit, she felt like just releasing a little bit of the tension would make her become dominated by this fear to the point that her body crumbled.

‘What is this?

What is this aura?

This was not the seed of a unique power.

But was it aura? Mana?

‘No!’

It wasn’t those things either.

‘Then a unique power?’

No-

‘Ancient power?’

The ancient powers that now mentioned forgotten unique powers…

Was that it?

‘No!’

That was not it either.

A compressed power like that couldn’t suppress her to this level.

‘Then, what could it be?’

Her injured eyes prevented her from seeing who was using this power.

But So Hee still thought of someone.

‘The mask!’

It was that bastard wearing the mask.

‘Who the hell is that bastard that he can suppress a wanderer with just his aura?’

That’s difficult even for most gods-

“Ugh!”

So Hee persisted as she found the answer.

‘A god!’

Yes, a god!

At first, she thought that Kim Hae-Yi was the AI, Ahn Roh Man’s cooperator.

But after seeing his unique power, she thought he was another wanderer.

A wanderer who sided with the gods.

‘And that god-’

Would naturally be part of the God of Balance’s side, since that was the side against the God of Chaos.

That was the reason she thought that she really needed to kill him.

Because the enemies were already here in New World.

‘But something is weird if you think like that.’

The World of the Gods was split in half but the wanderer bastards serving the gods already got this far?

‘And this power-’

Fear.

It stimulated a primal fear.

Then there was only one answer.

‘The fear of chaos!’

The ability that the God of Chaos only gave to his most cherished believer, someone at the level of a Saint.

That would make sense.

‘The God of Chaos has always been wary of us.’

He acted friendly to them, but there was no way they wouldn’t see the wariness beneath it.

How concerning would it be for the God of Chaos that there were wanderers who were starting to get the qualifications to become gods?

‘Based on what we heard from our spies, the God of Chaos seems to be scheming something in the Demon World right now.’

If the God of Chaos was doing that in the Demon World, what was the chance he didn’t mess with things in New World?

In fact, he might be pretending that he had no time to talk to us because the World of the Gods was chaotic in order to take us down first.

‘Because the time is near!’

The time for the omnipotent god to arrive, as well as the preparations for it, were almost complete.

So this was the only chance if the God of Chaos wanted to take everything for himself.

“Ha!”

So Hee let out a scoff.

She could not believe it.

“You-”

She looked toward the direction of the aura.

So Hee started to smile.

“You were a tail of chaos?”

However, her smile could not continue.

“Ugh!”

A pressure multiple times stronger than before pushed down on her.

The feeling of being dominated…

The existence of the faint fear within it…

“A tail?”

She heard a calm voice.

That voice was closer than she had expected.

Cale knelt on one knee and made eye contact with So Hee.

Cale smiled and spoke to the girl who could not see him.

“Why am I a tail? I have no intentions of being a tail.”

Of course, he had no plans to be a subordinate of the God of Chaos either.

However, he would be thankful if the enemies got the wrong idea.

Cale looked past So Hee to Queen Tamahi who stopped walking toward him.

Alberu was standing next to her.

Alberu smiled once they made eye contact and spoke to Tamahi.

“Your Majesty.”

“Ah.”

Tamahi realized what she had to do.

New World.

The game, ‘Raising my very own precious omnipotent god.’

There was a reason most of the users remained ‘good’ in this extremely free and open world.

Without that reason, evil users would commit all kinds of crimes in the game.

“Criminal So Hee.”

Queen Tamahi ordered.

“Move her to the Palace’s underground prison.”

Criminal.

Once you were labeled as a criminal in a kingdom and imprisoned…

The game users would still be in prison even if they logged out and logged back in.

This was especially true about the Palace underground prison. You needed to have the strength to face off against the entire palace to get out.

‘It is the same whether you are a mid-level NPC or an NPC.’

This rule was the same for mid-level NPCs who could log out like game users.

‘This wanderer should be a mid-level NPC.’

If she was an NPC, she would not be able to leave the game world.

There was one thing different about mid-level NPCs compared to game users.

‘If they die here, they cannot be reborn.’

Users could be revived no matter how many times they died in the game.

There was a penalty for dying, but they still got the opportunity to revive.

But mid-level NPCs would die for good.

“Hey So Hee.”

Cale warmly called out to her.

“!”

So Hee flinched.

Cale didn’t care and released more of his Dominating Aura as he warmly spoke to her.

“Don’t think that you can run away.”

He whispered in her ear.

“Well, you can try to run if you want to remain in the game forever.”

Remain in the game forever.

That meant death.

“Fuck!”

So Hee flailed as if Cale’s voice gave her the chills.

Screeeeeeeech—- screeeech—

White light blasted out for a moment.

It looked as if she would explode.

“Your Majesty!”

As her surprised subordinates and the martial artists who came to protect her flinched…

Slash.

A thin horizontal cut was visible on So Hee’s neck.

“!”

Cale was surprised but did not let it show as he turned his head.

He could see Choi Han’s sword.

A single drop of blood dripped down from the tip of his sword.

It was So Hee’s blood.

“…….”

So Hee could not say anything.

Choi Han had cut through the white light to make a thin horizontal cut on her neck.

So Hee became silent at his vicious spirit.

Cale got a bit scared.

‘He really can’t think straight right now!’

It was understandable.

These bastards were the ones to turn Choi Jung Gun into his current critical state.

Choi Han really was a good guy for letting her off easy like this.

– Hae-il.

Of course, there was a reason Cale had riled So Hee up.

– When the white light had shot out earlier, there was a thin thread flying off in the distance.

Underneath this dark red cloud…

This was the Heavenly Demon’s domain.

After hearing what the Heavenly Demon had to say, Cale quietly looked down at So Hee who was shaking after being suppressed by the Dominating Aura.

‘One at a time-’

Let’s hunt the Five Colors Bloods bastards one at a time.

‘Then we can get the God of Chaos, the Hunters, and the Demon World to fight each other.’

Everything was going according to plan under this big picture.

Cale looked around the mess of a stage and addressed the Queen.

“Your Majesty. You should quickly capture her.”

He pointed at So Hee while looking at Queen Tamahi who was frozen stiff.

He then added on.

“We caused a mess so we will go as well.”

The palace.

He needed to meet the Queen’s husband, the Prince Consort, there.

This was also a part of the plan that needed to happen.

‘Good.’

He felt like things would go easily without having to drag anything else out.

However-

“Mm.”

Cale saw the gazes of the Lan Kingdom’s people as they looked at him, the Heavenly Demon, and Choi Han, and started to think.

‘This should be okay, right?

All of them look scared.’

Cale gently smiled and spoke as warmly as possible.

“Why don’t we have a chat and work out any small misunderstandings there may be?”

For reference, Cale was still wearing his mask.

Shake shake.

Only Alberu stood there shaking his head.

Rumble-

The dark red cloud slowly scattered, revealing the blue sky.

The sunlight shining down was slowly seeping into the Hero’s Sword, the divine item, the Sun Sword, on Alberu’s side.

Nobody noticed it.
