Stomp! Stomp!
Cale stomped on the knife with determination.
Ooooooooong!
The knife cried while covered by the cloth.
[Remaining chaos attribute : 96.3%]
The quest window was letting him know that it was working.
‘Mm.’
But Cale’s foot was starting to hurt.
He had covered the knife in a thick cloth on purpose so that he wouldn’t get hurt, but…
‘Maybe it is because the cloth is not soft, but I can still feel the hard ground.
I think my foot is going to hurt if I keep stomping like this.
It is also not very efficient.’
He felt like the impact on the knife wasn’t as strong because of the cloth.
Cale stopped for a moment.
Huuuuuu, huuuuuu.
He didn’t realize it, but he was breathing heavily.
It could not be helped because he was stomping as hard as he could.
Oooong, ooong-
The knife continued to shake.
Huuuuuuuuu.
As Cale’s breathing became a bit heavier…
Oooong.
The knife’s shaking became weaker.
‘This son of a bitch.’
Cale noticed this and his eyes lit up.
“Cale.”
He heard Alberu’s voice at that moment.
“Should I help you?”
Oooooong– oooooong!
The knife started vibrating intensely.
Cale turned from the knife toward Alberu.
Alberu Crossman had been unconscious for a day longer than Cale.
He looked a bit pale, but he still looked better than Cale.
He was naturally stronger than Cale as well.
Furthermore, the way he was standing there with the Sun Sword made him look like quite the skilled swordsman.
Oooong, ooooooooong!
The knife shook even more intensely.
Cale got even more annoyed for some reason.
Ding!
A quest message popped up at that moment.
[*Help from others is not allowed to make it submit completely.]
“Huuuuuu.”
Cale let out a sigh.
For some reason, he was annoyed at both the system and the crown prince.
“Cale.”
The crown prince called out once more and Cale shook his head.
“No, your highness. This is something I have to do on my own.”
Ooooooooong!
The knife’s shaking lessened.
‘You just wait and see, you son of a bitch.’
Flames riled up in Cale’s eyes again.
“Mm.”
Alberu groaned.
‘His eyes seem to have gone crazy.’
It was rare to see Cale Henituse like this.
He was not like this unless he was smacked in the back by the enemies or when he felt like he was about to face a loss by his own standards.
Screeeech.
The door opened with a small noise at that moment.
Swish.
Cale’s head turned extremely quickly toward the door.
“!”
Sir Boltien flinched after walking in.
“Haha-”
Cale smiled brightly and laughed out loud.
“Please quickly bring it over.”
“Yes sir!”
Boltien, who was shocked at Cale’s gaze, cautiously and urgently placed the box in his arms in front of Cale.
Boom!
The inside of the Temple of Light echoed.
This metal box…
There were all sorts of weapons inside.
“Hoooo.”
Cale extended his hand toward the most eye-catching weapon.
“Mm.”
He then groaned.
‘Heavy.’
This hammer was a bit heavy.
‘Next.’
“Mm.”
‘This is also a bit heavy.’
Cale did not overexert himself.
‘Next.’
Cale rummaged through the weapon box before pulling out two pieces.
Oooong, oooong, oooooong!
Cale smiled after seeing the knife cause a scene.
A pretty large hammer.
A whip with numerous metal thorns.
Cale could not hide his emotions while holding these two items.
“Heh.”
An extremely sinister chuckle came out of his mouth as Cale held up the hammer.
And…
Baaaaang!
He struck down.
“Oh.”
Alberu was amazed.
“He’s doing better than I thought.”
He subconsciously said his inner thoughts out loud.
One corner of Cale’s lips curled up.
[Remaining chaos attribute : 94.1%]
The remaining amount shrank quite a bit at once.
That was the start of Cale’s hammering.
He got rid of the cloth now too.
Baaaaang! Baaaaang!
The noise was intense.
Cale was accurately striking the knife with the hammer in a set pace despite the heaviness.
“Oh-”
Alberu was truly amazed.
‘How is that possible with that feeble body?’
Of course, a healthy man in his twenties should be able to easily pick up a hammer like that and hammer down.
But the accuracy as he struck the knife…
He even looked quite skilled as he did it too.
– Cale, you’re amazing.
As the Super Rock commented with amazement…
Cale only focused on his action.
He repeated these words in his mind.
‘Use the rebound and be smart.’
Baaaaang! Baaaaang!
You could not rely only on your strength for hammering like this.
Cale Henituse. No, Kim Rok Soo was quite skilled with all sorts of manual labor.
He had many different part-time jobs before the monsters appeared to make money and he had done a lot of manual labor even after becoming an ability user when he went out to the restoration sites in Korea.
Of course, this body was quite weak compared to then, but…
Baaaaang! Baaaaang!
Experience did not disappear.
Baaaaang!
Baaaaang!
[Remaining chaos attribute : 87.9%]
Oooong, oooooo–
The remaining attribute quickly decreased.
Baaaaang!
Oooong, oooooong–
The knife’s shaking became more intense.
Baaaaang!
Baaaaang!
Cale did not stop hammering.
The center of the Temple of Light, where a radiant and holy light was pouring down from the sun…
Sweat started to form on Cale’s forehead as he hammered away.
Cale’s face looked more serious than ever.
He was so focused on the task at hand that he didn’t even hear the noises around him.
The pouring light and Cale’s face and appearance almost looked reverent.
“…….”
“…….”
The Pope and the rest of the church blankly stared at him.
But to feel reverence-
Baaaaang! Baaaaang!
Oooooong– oooooong-
“Keke. Why? Are you finally scared?”
Cale’s face looked so evil every time he spoke.
Blink blink.
The Pope became extremely shocked.
‘Evil?!
This sir is purifying an evil divine item made for the advent of the God of Chaos!
How could I have such disrespectful thought-’
Baaaaang!
Ooooooong!
“Oh, I think you’ll finally crack?”
Baaaaang!
…Maybe it was okay to have such a disrespectful thought?
Blink blink.
The Pope blankly blinked and thought to himself.
But Cale didn’t care about anybody’s reaction.
Baaaaang!
Baaaaang!
He just simply continued to pound.
The noise slowly became louder.
His hammering form, which had been off because he had not hammered for a long time, was slowly getting more skillful.
‘Don’t tense up for no reason.’
Cale used the hammering skills he learned from the elders during his time as Kim Rok Soo.
Baaaaang—!
The knife felt like it would break, but…
Oooong, ooong-
The knife desperately vibrated, but…
Cale didn’t care.
Baaaaang!
He then stopped for a moment.
Boom.
He stood the hammer next to him. Cale then crouched down.
He then lowered his head to look at the knife.
He commented in a nonchalant voice.
“Is it done?”
He was asking if the knife had a crack.
Oooong.
The knife was shaking intensely.
“Mm.”
But Cale was truly absorbed in the moment.
“It looks like I still have a long way to go?”
As he calmly said that…
[Remaining chaos attribute : 50.1%]
The remaining chaos attribute suddenly fell from the low eighties to fifty percent.
[*The divine item is starting to submit!]
Oooong.
The divine item weakly shook as if it lost all will to resist.
“Mm.”
Cale plopped down for a moment.
Oong, oong.
A moment of peace returned.
Only the knife continued to shake.
The people watching could tell that the knife’s reaction was different from before.
“Ah. It seems to be getting purified.”
“My goodness, it looks like there was meaning behind all of this!”
“The will of the evil knife is starting to bend!”
The people admiring and quietly whispering to each other looked at Cale.
He was just plopped down on the ground breathing heavily.
They couldn’t see his eyes because his head was slumped over, but they could feel how hard this was on him.
“Ah.”
The Pope started to reflect on his narrow-mindedness to think that Cale was evil.
“!”
But he flinched the moment Cale raised his head.
[*The divine item is starting to submit!]
‘The divine item is starting to submit?’
Cale didn’t believe the remaining attribute rate that had fallen to 50.1% nor the system.
After years of experience, he had a pretty good idea about how to deal with bastards like this Knife of Chaos.
“You plan on submitting a bit now?”
Cale asked the knife.
Ooooooong!
The knife shook as if to respond.
Everybody could tell that it wanted to do so.
However……
“Pfft.”
Cale sneered and started swinging the whip toward the knife.
Slap!
An extremely loud noise echoed out.
“Do you really think I would trust you?”
Once Cale said that…
Ooong, ooooong, ooooong!
The Knife of Chaos started to react intensely again.
Ooooo–
Grey smoke started to rise as well.
“Huut!”
As the bishops gasped in shock…
“Please step back.”
Alberu had them move back.
Sir Boltien had already moved to the door, ready to open it at any moment to evacuate the crowd.
Cale didn’t pay any attention to all of that and just kept whipping.
‘I did this quite a bit too.’
During his time as Kim Rok Soo, although he was a rear supporter, he had to use his body quite a bit once he became a team leader and used the whip a few times.
He wasn’t skilled with it, but he knew how to handle one.
Slap!
He liked the sound quite a bit.
Slap!
Oooooong– oooooong!
The knife resisted.
‘These bastards always pretend to submit before smacking you in the back!
The bastards like the White Star!
The bastards like the Hunters!
The bastards like the God of Chaos!
I have to suffer like this because of all those bastards……!’
Cale’s rage was building.
Slap! Slap!
“Damn it!”
Cale picked up the hammer again.
It was tiring, but his anger came first.
Baaaaang!
Baaaaang!
Cale started hammering again.
Ooooo–
He didn’t pay any attention to the grey smoke.
This was the territory of the Sun God.
The God of Chaos couldn’t even come in here so who cares about this grey smoke?
Shhhhhhh-
It just aimlessly scattered under the sunlight.
‘The Sun God is helping.’
He couldn’t hear her voice, but he was certain that the Sun God was preventing the Knife of Chaos from using the power of chaos.
‘She definitely seems more helpful than the God of Balance.’
Baaaaang!
Baaaaang!
Cale continued to hammer away as if he was possessed.
His arm hurt.
His shoulder probably hurt too, but…
He kept going.
“Huuuuuu.”
Of course, he did take a short break.
He rested for about five minutes.
“…….”
“…….”
The surrounding area became silent. But Cale did not pay it much attention.
Baaaaang!
Baaaaang!
He just resumed hammering.
‘Ah.’
Baaaaang!
‘This is refreshing for the soul.’
Baaaaang!
He felt like he was letting out stress for the first time in a long while.
Baaaaang!
Baaaaang!
Just like when he poured all of that money into the pit of fire…
Baaaaang!
It felt so refreshing.
How many annoying things had he dealt with lately?
Baaaaang!
All of that stress was melting away.
Baaaaang!
Cale had forgotten about everything else and was just letting out all of his stress.
Ooooong…. ooo…
The Knife of Chaos’s vibrations and the grey smoke were starting to turn faint.
Shhhh-
And it was shaking in fear.
[Remaining chaos attribute : 32.3%]
Baaaaang!
20.6%.
Baaaaang!
15.9%.
The remaining attribute quickly decreased the more he hammered.
Baaaaang!
And finally…
Boom.
Cale let go of the hammer.
[Remaining chaos attribute : 0.01%]
And…
“Tsk.”
He clicked his tongue.
He spoke with a nonchalant look on his face.
“You’re already submitting?”
He scolded the Knife of Chaos.
‘My body hurts but this is stress relief!’
“Hey, why don’t you hold out a little more?”
The moment Cale said that…
“Ho.”
“Ah.”
The Pope and the Holy Maiden gasped with disgust.
Shhhh-!
The Knife of Chaos shook extremely intensely, and then…
–!
[Remaining chaos attribute : 0%]
It submitted.
[*The divine item has submitted completely!]
“Ah, how disappointing.”
[*The divine item has submitted completely!]
“Mm.”
[*The divine item has truly submitted completely!]
‘Ah, how disappointing.’
Cale was disappointed, but he approached the knife on the ground.
“Mm. It didn’t even crack.”
The knife was fine.
As expected of a divine item of the God of Chaos, it was an extremely strong one.
Ding!
The quest let him know what he needed to do next.
[Sub quest : Let’s change the divine item’s attribute to ‘nothing’!]
[Let the divine item recognize that its master is a ‘human.’]
This divine item existed for the God of Chaos.
Once it left that ‘position,’ the game system would be able to turn the attribute of this divine item into nothing.
“Hey.”
Cale picked up the knife.
“I’m your new master.”
Ooooooooong-
As the knife shook again…
“Huuuu!”
Cale grabbed the hammer.
Oooooong, ooooong, oooooong!
The knife reacted intensely.
“I’m your new master, right?”
Oooooong, ooooong, oooooong!
“Ah, I can’t understand you. If I am your new master, shake only one time.”
Ooooooong!
“I’m your master, right?”
Ooooooong!
The knife accepted Cale as its master.
[The master of the divine item, ‘The Knife of Chaos,’ has changed from the God of Chaos to Cale Henituse.]
[You have obtained a legendary item!]
‘Oho?’
Cale was amused as he opened the item explanation window.
[Knife of Chaos (Rank: Legendary)]
[Its original attribute, chaos, has disappeared and only a large amount of non-attributed Divine Power remains.]
Cale smiled with satisfaction.
‘We should be able to save the Blue Wolf.’
The god of the Beast people, the Blue Wolf.
He found a divine item that would help the Blue Wolf recover his divinity and get stronger.
And the Beast people of Aipotu should now be able to live their lives as true Beast people.
‘We can bring Lock back too.’
Lock would now be free from Aipotu as well.
They couldn’t keep a kid out for too long. They had to bring him back home.
Cale put the divine item back in his pocket and pulled out a different parchment from his other pocket.
The Purification of Chaos.
[Sub quest : Let’s earn the ‘Purification of Chaos’ skill!]
[Go to a holy place where the eye of the God of Chaos cannot reach and rip the ‘Purification of Chaos’ text!]
The way to gain this was very simple.
He held the text of purification with both hands.
Riiiiiip-
He then ripped it.
It ripped so easily, similar to the Fear of Chaos.
Cale looked up at the sky.
Ding!
Ding!
He heard two notifications.
[‘Skill: Fear of Chaos (Legend)’ has awakened.]
One was informing him again about a quest result that Cale had not been able to check because he was busy.
The other was a new notification.
[‘You have gained the Skill: Purification of Chaos (Legend)’.]
Smile.
The corners of Cale’s lips curled up.
He had gained two of the five powers that the Church of the God of Chaos cherished.
He still had three others in his pocket.
‘I should take all of these too!’
Cale was planning on obtaining all of them as skills one after another.
The remaining powers…
Pollution, Pleasure.
‘I didn’t get to read the last one.’
Even that last power that he could not read.
Of course, Cale didn’t know that even the Pope of the Church of the God of Chaos could not gain all five powers.
Especially that last one that he could not read…
That was a power that nobody managed to obtain since the creation of the church.
“Are you all done?”
Cale nodded at the approaching Alberu and answered.
“Yes, your highness. Let’s stop at the Devil’s Boundary for a moment before going to the Demon World.”
He needed to go to the Devil’s Boundary to meet his friends as well as the Witch of the Jungle, the leader of the Dark Elves.
After that…
‘Choi Jung Gun.’
He needed to go to the Demon World to save him.
He’ll flip the Demon World over while there as well.
* * *
A few hours later, Cale had returned to the Devil’s Boundary.
He was face to face with the Witch of the Jungle.
Shhhhhhh-
He heard the wind and the nearby grass and branches all embrace the Witch of the Jungle.
“I have detected the issues in the world.”
The Witch of the Jungle. The leader of the Dark Elves asked Cale a question.
“More importantly, you are not human, are you?”
‘Ha.’
Cale was flabbergasted.
But then he heard something even more unbelievable.
“You are our creator, are you not?”
‘Ha.
Creator?
What kind of bullshit is this?’
Cale was flustered.
“This is driving me nuts.”
He ignored the quietly mumbling Alberu next to him.
