Trash of the Count’s Family Part 2 Chapter 415: Confront and Defend (2)

Splash.

The grey water that touched the feet of the people closest to the puddle…

“Oh, ohoh- god, oh god-”

The believers.

“Oh God of Chaos- ah, ahaha-”

The priests.

They were first scared but welcomed it.

But the moment the water touched them…

The moment they breathed in the grey smoke…

“Ahhhhh-”

“Ugggh-!”

They clutched their heads.

Dreadful pain, sorrow, and despair…

Pleasure, joy, and happiness that came at the same time to drive them crazy…

All sorts of emotions swept over them.

Their heads were not, dizzy, and felt like they would explode.

Drip.

Everybody started dripping blood.

But the blood of the people the water touched were not red.

They were grey.

Their eyes started to turn grey as well.

When a human being, someone who has lived within law and order, comes to face to face with chaos…

Once they are submerged in that fear…

Clang!

Clang!

“C, chaos-”

Some of them pulled their weapons out.

“Sooooob!”

Others started crying.

“Ahahaha-”

Some laughed while crying. Without stopping.

But they all had something in common.

“D, die! Stop shouting!”

“Stop crying!”

They tried to kill someone, or…

“Stop, stop……!”

Some pointed their weapons at themselves because they could not handle it any longer.

Everybody charged toward death.

“W, what is this-”

Cho looked over at his sister, Ryun.

“S, sis. Do you hear that?”

He was facing chaos as well.

Ryun’s face turned pale.

“We, need to run-”

Cho and Ryun were barely resisting the chaos because they were wanderers with Transparent-Grade unique powers.

It was extremely lucky that they did not go closer to the puddle.

Cho spoke in a low voice at that moment.

“Can we even run?”

He was scared for the first time.

He looked up at the sky.

The grey smoke that came up with the water was slowly covering the night and the new moon.

The sky was turning back to its normal grey.

But it was different than the past.

This was truly a sky of death.

The wanderers, Cho and Ryun.

The two of them could not say anything.

Actually, there was one thing Ryun managed to get out.

“What the hell-””

What the hell was going on?

That was the only thing she could say.

“-!”

But she could not say anything else.

As someone who was said to be smart, she soon realized something.

“Over there.”

“Huh?”

The center of the water shooting up…

The boulder that had shot up from the puddle…

The spot that looked pretty small for four people…

“It’s only there.”

Yes. The humans there were fine.

As Ryun had that thought and tried to move…

“!”

She flinched.

“…What the-”

On top of the boulder…

One person was standing firm.

“Why, why am I-”

She could not finish the sentence.

Why was she thinking about the patriarch, the first wanderer, the moment she saw this man?

The man standing alone…

Cale Henituse.

He had no way of knowing Ryun’s thoughts and had no desire to know it either.

Shhhhh.

His hand holding the knife was still shaking.

But he ignored it.

“Fuck, fuck!”

TO the point that he wasn’t even paying attention to the pain…

He was swearing left and right and well, he had to do it.

“Motherfucker!”

It was truly a motherfucking situation.

‘Fuck!’

Everybody was about to die.

People were swept up in chaos and out of their minds.

Splash.

The grey water spread further out.

It felt like there was more water than originally in the puddle, but the water endlessly continued to shoot up.

Shaaaa-

And grey smoke was covering the sky above them.

– Cale.

But there were even more problems.

– The smoke is moving up.

Yes.

As the Super Rock mentioned, the smoke was heading up.

Not only was it covering this Holy Land, it was moving through the entire gorge and even aiming for the entire Devil’s Boundary outside the gorge.

The sacrifices, Raon, and Choi Han were all outside the gorge.

“Huff. Huff.”

“Oo…mm……”

Eruhaben and the Heavenly Demon were breathing heavily.

The ancient Dragon and the martial artists, two individuals who were stronger than Cale, were struggling right now.

Alberu was basically unconscious.

Rosalyn and Gashan were doing whatever they could to resist the screams.

Shhhhh.

His body was shaking as well.

He looked down at his hand.

The hand that was covered in grey was getting clearer in color.

– Fuck!

The Dominating Aura was persistently holding on.

‘Because I can see.’

He didn’t hear anything in his ears.

His eyes were clear.

All of his senses were still normal.

“Huuuuuu.”

Cale took a deep breath.

The cold night air came deep into his body.

‘Yes, I’m breathing properly.’

Drip.

Blood dripped down from his mouth again.

Drip.

But Cale saw the blood that dripped onto the back of his hands and his eyes clouded over.

‘It’s red.’

The people all around him were dripping grey blood.

They were submerged in chaos.

‘But not me.’

Cale realized it.

‘More than I expected-

Yes, compared to what I had been thinking…

I am not that submerged in chaos.’

It wasn’t just his eyes.

Despite his outside, his insides were not dyed in chaos yet.

Compared to what he had been thinking…

“I’m okay.”

Yes.

‘Both I and the ancient powers are fine.

It’s still-

Worth trying.’

Because-

Cale lifted his head up.

The sky getting dyed grey…

He could see the new moon through the gaps.

He could see the night sky.

And in the middle of that night… In the middle of the darkness…

Cale was waiting for an extremely smart little kid.

Someone who would be fine in this chaos.

The only one who had been fine the first time the eye of the God of Chaos appeared, caused the grey tsunami, and fought against the Blue Wolf…

“Human!”

A welcomed voice through the darkness.

Dark blue eyes sparkling like stars in the sky were approaching Cale.

Very quickly.

“Is it chaos again?! I told him I would destroy everything if he messes with our human or my family!”

Raon was angrily flapping his wings and coming toward Cale.

Someone not affected by the chaos…

‘He’s here.’

Raon, someone he could rely on to take care of the others, was here.

He didn’t need to worry about the others anymore.

‘But that’s not the end.’

The ritual had started.

The God of Chaos might advent.

He needed to stop that.

In order to do that, he needed to fight against this power of chaos.

He needed to push away this grey water and smoke.

He needed to save the people from chaos.

“Hey.”

Cale called out to someone.

– Fuck!

The Dominating Aura shouted in annoyance.

He was already sensing what Cale was thinking.

– Yeah! I don’t know anymore!

His voice was shaking.

The Dominating Aura was reaching his limit.

But he was not at the limit yet.

Cale’s Dominating Aura had never been used beyond its limits.

– Guess it’s my turn to look cool and save everyone!

He mumbled to himself.

The voice seemed firm despite the shaking, as if he was trying to overcome his nervousness.

– Yeah, Cale, you saved them and the others saved people too! Yes, I can do it!

Because the Dominating Aura realized it as well.

– I’m fending it off better than I expected!

He knew that it wasn’t just Cale’s eyes but also his red blood and the inside of Cale’s body that he managed to protect from chaos.

He was stronger than he expected.

He didn’t need to bluff anymore now that he knew that.

No.

Bluffing was actually needed at a time like this.

“Let’s do this.”

Cale bluffed.

– Yes, let’s fight it!

The Dominating Aura started releasing its aura.

– But it might be a bit harder on you, Cale. I’m going to pay less attention to you.

It didn’t matter.

This grey water and smoke needed to disappear for him to let go of this divine item. Cale’s instincts were telling him that was the case.

The enemy’s final move. He needed to ruthlessly destroy that final move.

“It’s fine until I faint.”

Cale gave the permission.

– Great! Alright, let’s push this aura away!

The Dominating Aura shouted with a bluff-filled voice.

But none of the ancient powers criticized him for it.

Drip.

Blood dripped out of Cale’s mouth again.

Drip.

The moment the red drop of blood flowed down the back of his hand and touched the divine item…

Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-

A breeze blew by at that moment.

—!

Although hard to believe, everybody stopped moving.

It was only for an instant.

It was truly only an instant, but…

Everybody stopped.

– Cale.

The Dominating Aura spoke in a low voice.

– If chaos is showing all sorts of illusions to make them feel chaos…

Yes.

Cale knew the answer the Dominating Aura would say.

So he said it instead.

“We just have to let them feel the real thing.”

Boom. Boom.

His heart started beating wilder.

He could feel the Vitality of the Heart, his regenerative power using its powers like crazy.

Cale didn’t care and used something the illusions created by chaos would not be able to overcome.

– Domination. Fear.

The Dominating Aura spoke up.

– Fear that truly reaches your skin is something illusions cannot overcome.

The aura that wanted to dominate over everything…

That aura covered this basin.

Chills that covered a person’s skin…

A biological reaction that an illusion could not create…

People stopped the moment their bodies reacted.

Because they felt true fear.

He felt something omnipotent truly trying to dominate them.

It was similar to chaos but different.

It did not cause them pain or make them hear cheers of delight.

It was like the air, something they could not see, smell, or hear, but…

It swept over their whole bodies.

Of course, everybody was still feeling the illusions created by chaos.

But it only had to be for a moment.

– I just need to let them know that all of this is a lie.

Just as the Dominating Aura said…

They just needed to let people know.

It isn’t the illusion that is killing you.

True domination has swept over you now.

– If you fall into an illusion and are thinking about something else to the point you forget to greet the king, you’ll be in big trouble!

The Dominating Aura was shaking but spoke in a mean voice.

– Alright, say hello.

He calmly continued to speak.

– The God of Chaos is not here, but the king is here. You’ll be in big trouble if you ignore reality.

Submit to the ruler.

The Dominating Aura’s power surpassed its limits at that moment.

“Cough!”

Cale coughed up blood and thought to himself.

He thought that the Dominating Aura’s bluffing was going too far.

‘But so what?’

Even if they made people snap back to their senses…

“Human, human! What is this?”

‘How do I get rid of this?’

He could fight and persist.

But how does he get rid of this chaos?

– Cale.

It was at that moment.

– I’m hungry.

‘Huh?’

Cale thought about the ancient power that spoke up and flinched.

– I’m hungry.

The glutton priestess.

The Indestructible Shield.

Now that he thought about it, the glutton priestess had said something when they got to this Holy Land.

‘- I’m here too… I’m good at protecting too…’

That was right.

– I’m hungry.

She was also good at eating.

“Ha, haha-”

“Human, why are you laughing despite coughing up so much blood? Your face is pale! I feel like you might faint right now! I think you are one second before fainting! Human!”

Flap flap.

Raon commented with concern while taking care of the others, but Cale ignored him.

‘Yeah.

The glutton priestess is great at eating.

She even eats dead mana.’

Just like the dead mana bombs that had covered the Jungle at one point…

Just like the trees that had sucked up the liquid of death that would destroy the Jungle…

– I will not break.

Yes.

Who said she could only eat dead mana?

In this Holy Land that only had green grass…

No. Even that grass was covered up by grey water and lost its color.

– I can eat it all.

Cale lifted his head up.

Since he fought against it and persisted…

– So I can protect it.

– This place and the people…

– I can do it now.

Boom boom.

His heart was beating.

The Vitality of the Heart was providing the glutton with power.

‘Yeah.

Since I fought against it…

Now it is time to protect.’

Cale looked up.

There were no trees here.

Booboom!

The gorge started to shake.

The Cliff of Death.

The only bridge connecting the different sides of the gorge…

That bridge disappeared on the nights of the new moon and the full moon.

It was because the trees withdrew their roots.

There were four trees with bodies and roots big enough to connect the sides of the vast gorge.

Booboom-!

The four trees started to move their roots at the same time.

Down.

The roots were quickly moving down to where Cale was standing.

– I’m hungry.

It was time to eat.

* * *

“Wow-”

The Crazed Attention Seeker. He looked down at the bottom of the gorge and could not say anything.

His whole body was shaking.

“Holy shit-”

The focused attention seeker’s face scowled and a single teardrop fell from his eyes.

“So cool-”

This, this-

“100 million, no, this is going to reach 1 billion views.”

The Crazed Attention Seeker was extremely excited.
