Trash of the Count’s Family Part 2 Chapter 414: Confront and Defend (1)

“Haha-”

Cale started to laugh.

The laughing Alberu Crossman…

He was able to survive thanks to moving after seeing his sunlight.

But Alberu Crossman…

‘He’s a mess.’

He had never seen this guy looking like such a mess.

His whole body was shaking.

He looked terrible as he stood there holding his sword.

Cale had no idea what Alberu had done, but his hood was off and his clothes were ripped and wrinkled in many spots.

He was also dripping a ton of blood, with his face, neck, and clothes all covered in blood.

‘He looks like me.’

Cale suddenly thought that Alberu looked the same as he usually did.

‘Ah.’

He then realized something.

He could feel the cold air of night.

His mask was almost completely off.

His clothes were also torn in many places.

Grey water and wind…

The path up here while pushing those aside…

The Sky Eating Water had protected him until the end, but the sharp gusts of wind and the water had ripped Cale apart in many spots along the way.

‘Ah, they’re going to see my face.

They might find out that I am Cale Henituse.’

“Hey, you-”

He heard Alberu’s shaky voice at that moment.

However-

“Ugh!”

Cale realized that this was not the time to think about anything else.

– Not yet, it’s not over yet!

The Super Rock’s urgent warning…

He was out of the grey water but the Knife of Chaos was still in his hand.

‘Fuck!’

It wouldn’t let go.

The grey color covering his whole body wouldn’t disappear either.

‘This is not the pollution of chaos.’

It could not be purified.

With his body like this, he could not use team leader Lee Soo Hyuk’s Embrace ability without resolving this issue first.

He also had to give this divine item to Lock and the Blue Wolf, but he could not give this crazy item as is!

“Ugh!”

‘This is driving me nuts!’

Cale plopped down on the large boulder.

His body started to shake again.

He didn’t hear the screams or cheers in his ears anymore and Cale’s mind was fine, but…

‘This crazy knife……!’

The knife shook even more intensely and latched onto Cale’s hand.

No, it tried to stick to his body.

IT felt like it was trying to become one with Cale.

“Cale-”

Alberu was watching this closer than anybody else.

He was still the only one who could maintain themselves on top of this grey lake.

His pupils were shaking.

He had not noticed it because of the blood that Cale had shed.

“Your body-”

Cale’s whole body other than his eyes, every spot that was visible through his ripped clothes, were dyed grey.

This was especially the case for the hand holding the knife.

Even the veins on that hand had become grey and swollen.

The wanderer, Choi Jung Gun…

The pollution of chaos that had covered his body…

Alberu thought about that and turned pale. As he tried to kick off the ground and head on top of the boulder…

“Ugh!”

Cale groaned.

“Huff.”

Alberu took a big breath and stopped walking.

The knife.

The moment he looked at that knife that seemed to be the divine item and approached it…

‘Ahhhhhh, p, please don’t kill me!’

‘Hahaha, tonight is a night of pleasure! Only pleasure and nothing else!’

He heard agonized screams and shouts of extreme joy.

He heard dozens, no, hundreds, no, tens of thousands of voices at once.

“Ah.”

Cale Henituse, that bastard is hearing these voices right now.

Alberu instinctively realized it.

“Mm.”

His body staggered.

But he barely managed to maintain his balance.

‘Ah.’

The sword that was leaning on a part of the surface that had not been destroyed…

That sword had prevented him from falling.

The Sun Sword.

Alberu was able to come back to his senses.

He then realized it.

‘The Sun God-!’

The power that can defeat chaos here was the Sun God’s power.

Cale had come up while looking at this power as well.

Alberu gathered the remaining power in his shaking body and raised the sword.

He then approached Cale.

Paaaat-

He had a bright and warm light around him as he walked.

“Mm.”

The pained groan coming out of Cale’s mouth weakened for the first time.

Alberu’s eyes clouded over.

Splash.

Water flowed out of the cracks on the surface, but Alberu didn’t care and continued to move.

He wasn’t worried about falling into the water.

Step.

His foot landed on top of the boulder that Cale had created before that could happen.

‘Ah.’

Alberu could feel it once he was on top of the boulder.

‘It’s less.’

The dreadful and omnipotent aura coming out of the lake wasn’t as strong on top of this boulder.

Instead, he felt a familiar aura.

‘Cale Henituse’s aura.’

The strong aura that this punk released every so often was here.

Alberu realized that this aura was what was protecting Cale.

And if he handed Cale Henituse one more power to resist the grey aura, this guy would win.

Paaaat-

The sword releasing a bright light got closer to Cale.

Cale was shaking while looking at Alberu Crossman, who looked as if he had leaned against the sword to get here, and then at the Sun Sword.

Light.

The chaos became less once again when he looked at the light.

The pain covering his body lessened.

‘Ah, I feel like I can live again.’

As he was about to have that thought…

“Ugh!”

Cale groaned once more.

‘Fuck!’

The knife started to shake intensely.

It felt like a final struggle.

It seemed to realize that the power of the Sun God was dangerous.

Smile.

That was the reason Cale smiled.

‘There is a way.’

“Y, your highness.”

Cale opened his mouth to speak.

He tried to say something.

‘Please stick that sword onto me.’

Then he might see a way out of this.

Once he saw how the chaos withdrew after touching the Sun God’s power…

‘The ancient powers and I will definitely find a way.’

Just as they had always done.

However, Cale could not say any of that.

“Your highness?”

Instead, Cale frowned.

Alberu’s complexion became much worse.

It happened extremely quickly.

His pale face was starting to fill with fear.

It was similar to Cale when he was suppressed by chaos and felt fear.

What was happening all of a sudden?

He quickly figured it out.

“Ah.”

Cale could see the Sun Sword in Alberu’s hand starting to lose its color.

Blink blink.

The bright light was lessening and blinking.

It resembled a light bulb that was almost out.

Cale then thought about the things that had happened with the Sun Sword until now.

One of the hypotheses that he had about this sword…

‘That thing needs charging!

Fuck!’

Cale was correct.

[Battery: 6%]

Alberu heard a warning.

[The battery is almost out. Switching to Ultra Power Saving Mode.]

[Once the battery reaches 0%, it would automatically turn off and change into charging mode.]

The light became weaker and started blinking.

He could also hear the screams and cheers flood his ears again and a great chaos suddenly started suppressing him.

It was chaos itself.

Something primitive that existed from the beginning.

Something impossible to clearly define.

That was what chaos was; that was why it was always so scary.

Alberu was currently the closest to the puddle.

That was why he realized that he was in the most danger right now.

Maybe even more than Cale who could resist this.

He had no idea what would happen to him once the Sun Sword ran out of battery.

That was why he made up his mind.

“Cale-”

He called out to Cale with a shaky voice.

“T, the last of it-”

He could not easily get the words out of his mouth.

But this shrewd punk should have realized what he was trying to say.

I will give the rest of this Sun Sword’s power to you.

Then the rest is up to you.

Cale scowled as if he understood.

“Your highness-”

‘Ah, seriously.’

Alberu held back his laughter.

Even laughing was a waste right now.

But he did laugh.

‘This punk should now know how I felt when I knew he would be in danger but could not stop him from using the rest of his strength, right?

He definitely should.’

Because he now knew why Cale had no choice but to do what he did in the past.

[Battery: 5%]

He needed to play his remaining card right now.

Alberu slowly let go of the sword.

Cale scowled.

And at that moment…

“!”

“!”

Cale and Alberu…

The two of their eyes opened wide.

It wasn’t shock or anxiety but a feeling of defeat that was visible on their faces.

Craaaaaaack-

The Sun Sword had made a crack.

The boulder had pierced through it to make a hole.

But the rest of the surface of the water had remained frozen.

Craaaaaaaaaack—!

But the rest of that frozen surface was starting to crack.

No, they were melting.

Shhhhh.

Cale looked down at his shaking hand.

The knife in his hand…

The divine item’s final struggle…

Cale finally realized what that struggle looked like.

Craaaaaaack!

The frozen surface completely broke.

Chhhhhhh-!

Grey water shot up.

It was a small puddle, but…

It was extremely deep.

All of the grey water inside it started to come out of the lake.

Shhhhhhhhhh—

A grey aura rose up following the grey water.

“Kahahaha!”

Cale heard a laughter.

He looked down.

Down there…

At the bottom of the puddle…

The Saint was riding on water as he shot up from there.

He was laughing.

“You stupid bastard.”

The Saint sneered at Cale.

“Did you really think running away would allow you to escape from chaos?”

Just as shadows appeared when there was light…

Chaos existed as long as there was law and order.

Chaos was everywhere.

“Oh sacrifice, you cannot avoid it.”

Ooooooooong.

The knife in Cale’s hand shook even more intensely.

But Cale could not look away from the Saint.

“…Crazy bastard…….”

He couldn’t help but say those words while looking at the Saint.

“In fact, I am happy.”

The Saint shot up as he spoke.

“I’m happy that I will be the first sacrifice.”

The Saint’s two knives were stabbed into his neck and stomach.

He cheered.

“For me to kill myself. That is the greatest murder.”

Ooooooooong-

The Saint offered up his knife and the knife released its final struggle.

“Oh night of slaughter.”

The Saint looked at the grey smoke starting to cover the night of the new moon and smiled.

“At least I will die after taking a look at the chaos of the beginning.”

The chaos that would come down to this place…

Just thinking about it made him happy.

The 44th ritual.

It was now starting.

Cale saw the smile on the Saint’s face and turned his head.

He then shouted.

TO his friends…

To everybody nearby…

“Run!”

Chhh-

The overflowing grey water…

Alberu clenched his eyes shut.

“I’m sorry.”

He said that to Cale and released the rest of his strength.

Paaaat-

The Sun Sword shone brightly one last time.

And he swung the sword toward the lake.

Chhhhhhhhh!

The light that came out of the sword cut through the grey water.

The grey water flinched at that moment.

“Over here!”

Cale shouted.

His allies reacted in that instant.

Tap.

Tap.

The Heavenly Demon and Eruhaben landed on Cale’s boulder.

“Mm.”

“…….”

The two of them both plopped down.

The grey smoke that shot up with the grey water…

“Shit-”

The Heavenly Demon’s fingertips were shaking.

“…….”

Eruhaben clenched his eyes shut instead of opening his mouth.

“…Thank you very-”

He then supported Alberu who was starting to stagger and fall.

Of course, it couldn’t be helped that they both plopped down.

And Cale-

‘Fuck!’

He had no time to look at the others.

Splash.

The grey water that had stopped for a moment…

Chhhh-

Started spreading to the grassy field and the basin.

[Battery: 0%]

The Sun Sword was completely off now.

“Miss Rosalyn, Gashan!”

Cale could see that Rosalyn and Gashan, who had tried to run away after hearing his shout, standing stiffly.

Even though the two of them were far away…

“!”

“……!”

They could not move.

“Oo, oooo-”

“……!!”

Instead, they were covering their ears or clutching their head.

The grey smoke quickly spread out in all directions.

Screams and cheers swept over them.

Chaos and all kinds of indescribable things swept over them.

But this was still a comparably better situation.
