Trash of the Count’s Family Part 2 Chapter 413: Night and Light (9)

Boom-

The Roan Kingdom’s crown prince, Alberu Crossman.

He felt a large rumbling.

The ground…

Alberu realized it the moment he felt the rumbling coming from deep down.

‘This is-’

This power…

‘Cale Henituse!’

It was that punk’s power.

Smile.

Alberu Crossman started smiling.

Drip.

Blood dripped down from his open mouth.

Ooooooooong-

His hands were shaking.

But he still channeled more power into his hand.

Bang!

He then slammed his sword down to the ground.

The grey puddle.

He was smashing against the frozen little lake.

Craaaaaaack-

The faint crack was slowly starting to get bigger.

Drip.

Even more blood dripped out of Alberu Crossman’s mouth.

Bang!

Bang! Bang!

But Alberu Crossman still did not stop.

He was the only one here who could do this job.

A few moments ago…

Before he started to do this…

Splash!

Cale Henituse had jumped into the puddle with the Saint right behind him.

Alberu knew that he was going to go get the divine item.

Peek.

He looked around.

Baaaaaang-

“Stop the flames!”

“Fuck all of this damn ice!”

“Aaaaaah–!”

Everything caught on fire and crumbled. The area was full of screeches.

It was to the point that his ears hurt.

Cho and Ryun were once again destroying everything in the Holy Land.

As they did that, they-

“Hooooo. That place must be important. Ryun, let’s destroy that too.”

“Yeah. I think we should destroy that place first.”

They did not miss the Saint and Cale’s movements.

They were slowly heading toward the center of the Holy Land.

“A divine item-”

“Damn it! Only the Saint-nim is supposed to be able to go in there!’

The top executives of the Church of the God of Chaos felt their chaos and anxiety reach the apex.

Of course, that wasn’t the only chaotic thing that swept over them right now.

“We can’t only pay attention to the lake right now! What about the sacrifices?!”

As one priest mentioned, the sacrifices were floating up into the air and being rescued one by one.

Just imagining the situation that would arise if they ran away was a giant headache.

And one more…

“Kill them! Kill the bastards who destroyed our Holy Land!”

“Oh, esteemed chaos! I will create a sacrifice for you!”

The countless believers…

The believers here were quite strong.

Instead of running away in this situation, all of their eyes rolled over with anger.

The night of pleasure that they had longed after for a long time…

Cale’s group and the wanderers who had destroyed their great ritual to advent the God of Chaos…

They ran toward them without fear.

These people had destroyed their precious Holy Land after all.

The wide basin-shaped Holy Land…

The believers charged toward it.

“What a mess.”

As mentioned, this place was chaos itself from all the people.

In the middle of that-

“Aaaaaah!”

“Ugh!”

The wanderers ruthlessly attacked the believers.

No, they just brushed them aside like rocks in their way.

Peek.

Alberu looked at the rest of their group.

Ooooooong-!

Eruhaben.

Others could not easily approach Eruhaben.

His attribute, dust, was not being used because he was worried the wanderers would notice him. He was stopping the enemies with only his mana.

‘!’

They made eye contact in the chaos.

– Soon.

The words Eruhaben said to Alberu…

It meant that Raon and Choi Han had rescued most of the sacrifices and that Eruhaben would soon be free on the battlefield.

‘It’s going according to plan.’

Throw the sacrifices to the top of the cliff while Cale steals the divine item.

Splitting up to run away after that.

Peek.

‘Miss Rosalyn is holding on well too.’

Oooooo-

She wasn’t as strong as Eruhaben, but she was also a mighty mage.

She was such a strong mage that Alberu couldn’t even reach her toes even if he tried.

It was only normal that nobody else could easily approach her.

‘The Heavenly Demon.’

The Heavenly Demon was also standing next to Rosalyn.

He wasn’t using his unique power because wanderers were here, but his martial arts was enough to easily handle the believers who were charging at them like moths to a flame.

As for Gashan, he hid himself among the believers as soon as the wanderers arrived to scope out the situation.

‘It’s not bad.’

The situation was decent.

But Alberu knew the critical point about this situation.

“…But we are still at our limits.”

Things were going according to plan, but…

‘We will reach the worst possible situation if anything goes wrong.’

If the wanderers stopped going after the church and showed them interest?

If the countless believers stopped paying attention to anything else and all charged toward them?

They were strong, but they could not take on so many people and the strong wanderers at once.

‘500 people.’

They had 500 sacrifices.

Peek. Peek.

Alberu endlessly looked around.

He was very clear about what he had to do.

‘Get rid of the variables.’

He was not that strong, but he was a jack of many trades.

Spear arts, magic, situational awareness…

Since he was not lacking in anything, Alberu was quietly observing instead of stepping forward right now.

‘Cale……!’

This bastard needed to quickly come up right now.

Ooooooooong-

The Sun Sword was vibrating inside its scabbard.

Alberu clenched the hilt of the sword and looked up at the sky for a moment.

The new moon.

It was a night without a moon.

But it was not dark.

The light from the mana created by Eruhaben and Rosalyn was lighting up the area.

He was certain Raon’s black mana was glowing up there as well.

Boom. Boom.

But why was he feeling like this?

Even though the sun could not be seen, for some odd reason, Alberu felt like the sunlight was shining on him.

The warmth of the sun surrounding his whole body…

This warmth had been swirling around his body since earlier.

That might be the reason Alberu could be calmer than usual. That might explain why his senses felt more sensitive than ever before.

“!”

Yes, just like right now.

Alberu immediately looked toward the puddle.

‘Just now-’

He could feel something dreadful that affected his whole body coming from the small lake.

Step. Step.

Subconsciously, toward the center of the Holy Land, the Flipped Night… Alberu started to walk toward the lake.

Tap. Tap.

The grassy field that had turned into a mess from all the believers…

Alberu started to wade through that place even faster.

Boom. Boom.

His heart was starting to beat even wilder.

The warmth of the sun was decreasing.

Was it because the warmth disappeared?

– Alberu, what is going on? What’s wrong?

He even ignored Eruhaben’s confused voice.

No, he was unable to pay it any attention.

Boom. Boom.

Once the warmth disappeared, what filled the void was coldness.

Was it the chill of the night?

‘No.’

It was different.

It was different from just the chill of the night.

Alberu realized that he was the only one who could feel this right now.

Tap, tatap, tap-

His footsteps quickened before he started to run.

Alberu ignored the people he ran into and quickly headed toward the puddle-like small lake.

‘No-’

He didn’t know what it was, but he could not let it happen.

Oooooo-

Alberu even channeled his mana to cast an acceleration spell.

Boom. Boom.

He then realized it.

It wasn’t just his heart that was beating right now.

‘The sword!’

The Sun Sword in his hand was thumping as well.

It was as if it was informing him about danger.

“Fuck!”

Maybe it was because he was on the south side, on the outskirts of this temple area, but…

It was so far to the center.

Tatap!

Alberu ended up kicking off the ground.

A gust made from magic floated his body up.

He then flung his body toward the puddle.

The fact that what he was doing would be very eye-catching, the fact that it was something that might make the enemies notice him… He knew too well.

‘That’s not the issue.’

But Alberu made a judgment.

The Sun Sword was a divine item with the power from the Sun God.

That divine item was giving him a warning right now.

Furthermore, probably because he had this divine item, he felt this dreadful aura faster than anybody else.

‘The variable.’

Yes, he needed to get rid of the variable.

It was at that moment.

—!

There were no sounds.

Everybody stopped moving.

It was as if they all made a deal.

Fuck!’

The aura that only Alberu had felt…

Everybody felt it now.

It could not be helped.

‘The lake!’

The surface of the puddle was starting to freeze.

It was not Ryun’s power.

The small lake had turned grey.

‘The God of Chaos!’

It was the power of chaos.

And once the surface froze over…

Everybody felt something.

“S, something managed to scare me?”

Cho looked down at the goosebumps on his arm.

Ryun looked at the lake and her eyes opened wide.

“…The God of Chaos-?”

Being a smart person, she realized something.

As shock appeared on her face…

“Ahh ahh-”

“Ugh!”

“Uuuuuuugh.”

Numerous believers started to shake.

The chaos was full of numerous deaths and numerous pleasures.

This divine item of the beginning that contained that kind of chaos 43 times…

That divine item was affecting outside the lake as well.

“…What the-”

Even Eruhaben felt his whole body freeze for a moment from the power coming out of the lake.

It was as if he faced a large power and stiffened like prey.

This was a natural and instinctual reaction.

‘Ah!’

He realized it right away.

‘Cale!’

Something must have happened to that punk!

Furthermore, something must have happened at that lake!

He heard the Bishop of the Church of the God of Chaos shout at that moment.

“Kahahaha! In the end, the ritual is starting!”

He turned toward the believers and shouted.

“Chaos will soon descend! Don’t worry! There is nothing out there that can defeat this chaos!”

The bishop stopped being stiff and snapped back to his senses as he smiled brightly.

“Ah.”

Eruhaben gasped at that time as well.

“That punk was like Cale too.”

Once he said that…

The bishop heard something behind his back.

Baaaaang!

He turned his head.

As everybody felt fear and stopped because of the aura of chaos released by the divine item…

The only person who had been moving…

Alberu was able to reach the puddle because he was the only one moving.

“How-?!”

The bishop became flustered.

But he soon snapped back to his senses and shouted.

“He will be dyed by chaos! Looks like we have another sacrifice!”

He was certain.

Now that the divine item, the Knife of Chaos, was activated, there was nothing that could stop it.

‘This is a world without gods!’

The only god here was their God of Chaos.

A bright smile formed on the bishop’s face.

But he soon shouted with anger.

“But we cannot let a damn sacrifice ruin our great ritual!”

He shouted toward the believers and the church members.

“Kill that sacrifice!”

But he himself, as well as everybody else, could not run toward the lake.

The now grey puddle of water…

The immense aura coming out despite it being frozen…

They felt a fear inside them that made it feel as if they would go crazy as soon as they got close to it.

“Attack from a distance!”

They chose to rely on long-distance attacks.

“Cho. Let’s withdraw.”

“What?”

“This is not right. This is beyond our level.”

It wasn’t just an ominous feeling Ryun was having. She felt like she could detect death.

If we stay here any longer, we will die.

Her instincts were telling her that.

That puddle…

It felt truly ominous.

IT made her think about the ancient god she had seen in the past, the God of Chaos.

No matter how strong she was, she could not fight against the God of Chaos.

“Let’s run.”

As she came to that conclusion…

Oooooo-

“Everybody cast your spells at the same time!”

The moment all of the attacks were about to be launched at Alberu…

Bang!

Everybody heard a sharp noise.

Bang!

Bang, bang!

Alberu. He pulled out the sword that was hidden in the scabbard.

It looked like a regular sword and did not give off any light.

He started to slam that sword onto the frozen surface.

Boom. Boom.

He did not look around.

Honestly speaking, he heard and knew everything.

But he didn’t pay it any attention.

‘I’m okay.’

He felt dizzy and thought he would fall as soon as his foot touched the frozen surface.

Numerous screams and pleasure-filled cheers suddenly filled his mind.

He felt like he could see all sorts of things as well.

Someone’s death. Someone’s pleasure.

All sorts of things mixed together to make him get swept up in chaos itself.

Boom. Boom.

But the Sun Sword in his hand was helping him maintain his conscience.

Alberu then realized it.

‘It’s only me.’

As the person wielding the Sun Sword, he was the only one in their group who could approach this place right now.

And underneath the frozen lake…

‘Cale Henituse!’

That punk was down there.

He was certain that something must have happened to that punk.

Alberu had heard from the others that Cale especially had a hard time the last time they faced the eye of the God of Chaos.

“Fuck!”

Bang!

He slammed against the surface again.

It didn’t even crack.

Bang, bang!

But he still continued.

Bang!

He could feel the warmth surrounding his body again.

The warmth that had disappeared once the puddle turned grey was slowly starting to return.

What was the reason for that?

Oooooo– oooooo–

Alberu stopped for a moment when the Sun Sword suddenly shook intensely.

[The first ever divine item of the Church of the Sun God and its greatest divine item, the Sun Sword, has finished charging.]

[Will you use it?]

The Sun Sword, which had sunlight glowing around it as if it was charging…

‘Charging completed?’

Alberu only just learned that despite the Sun God giving him the quest and the sword having the Sun God’s power, it was never fully charged until now.

“Of course-”

He raised the sword.

“I’ll use it!”

Bang!

The moment the sword struck down…

Paaaat-

Bright light burst out of the sword.

It wasn’t warmth.

It was light.

Crack-

A small crack appeared on the surface of the lake.

The light that was lighting up the chaos…

Bang!

Bang, bang!

Alberu knew oh so well about what he needed to do that he continued to strike the sword at the surface of the lake without stopping.

Craaaaaaack-

Unlike before, it was slowly starting to crack.

Shhhhhhh-

Grey smoke started rising up through the crack.

Alberu felt like he was seeing that dreadful illusion of chaos again.

Bang!

But he still struck down with the sword.

“Ugh!”

Alberu suddenly felt pain.

[The conditions have not been met to use the divine item, the ‘Sun Sword.’]

‘Ha!’

Alberu was flabbergasted despite the pain.

‘The Sun God said she was leaving it to me but I’m not enough to use this divine item?’

[A rebound is happening as a result.]

Alberu realized that the rebound was the reason his body hurt.

“Fuck!”

Bang!

But he still continued to strike against the surface.

It could not be helped.

Drip.

Blood was dripping out of his mouth and he was in pain, but…

What else could he do?

It was bearable.

And he had to do it.

‘So it felt like this.’

Cale Henituse. ‘That bastard must have felt like this!’

“Fuck!”

There was a rebound, but it didn’t hurt as much as he expected.

But it still hurt.

How could he be okay when he was dripping blood like this?

Bang, bang!

But still, it was worth trying.

Although the requirements were not met, the Sun God and Cale Henituse had left this role to him.

Bang!

Alberu smashed the sword against the frozen surface like a madman.

Craaaaaaack-

The crack slowly became bigger.

Instead of grey smoke, grey water was now splashing out little by little.

Dreadful hallucinations of desperate screeches and pleasure-filled cheers rushed out toward him.

But Alberu focused on the warmth surrounding his body and the light that was getting brighter and continued to smash the sword down.

He was like a blacksmith, endlessly smashing the hammer against the metal.

“Huff, huff-”

His breathing was getting heavy.

Blood was still dripping.

But he still could not stop.

He was worried about Cale Henituse down below in the lake and he was scared that he might mess things up.

In addition…

“Don’t worry about any attacks.”

The lake that others could not easily approach because they were scared…

Someone walked up and stood next to Alberu.

It was the Heavenly Demon.

The lake that was releasing smoke and water was giving off even thicker fear than the frozen lake, but…

The Heavenly Demon had his dark red internal ki all around his body and stood outside the puddle to face the enemies despite his hands shaking.

“I am a god as well so-”

The Heavenly Demon was the god of the Demon Cult.

A god could not fear another god.

The Heavenly Demon decided to protect Alberu.

Ooooooooong-

A shield was cast around the lake where Alberu was standing.

The person who had sent the Heavenly Demon, Rosalyn, cast a shield despite shaking to the point that she could not get closer.

Tap.

Eruhaben then moved to the other side of the lake, opposite the Heavenly Demon, to protect Alberu from the other side. The ancient Dragon had a stiff expression on his face and his body was slightly shaking. He was shaking worse than the Heavenly Demon. But he was still haughty.

North and South…

The Heavenly Demon and Eruhaben stood in those respective directions.

“That’s the power of the Sun God! How is the sun?! Kill him!”

“Kill!”

“Stop him!”

The numerous believers, priests, warriors, and top executives of the Church of the God of Chaos started to launch long-distance attacks.

Alberu’s allies were trying to stop them.

Alberu felt and heard it all.

That was why he could not stop.

“Fuck!”

‘Cale Henituse!

I understand why you live like that!

You punk!’

“Cough!”

Blood was coming out.

But he still could not stop.

Bang, bang!

Bang! Bang!

The surface was starting to crack more.

Craaaack—

And finally…

Bang!

The sword made it through the frozen surface.

Splash.

Once it slightly touched the grey water underneath it…

The moment an extremely small hole appeared…

Boom-

The ground started to shake.

‘This is Cale Henituse-!’

Alberu could sense Cale Henituse inside the chaos.

Bang! Bang!

“Fuck, hurry up and get out!”

Baaaaang!

Finally, the sword surrounded in light created a hole on the frozen surface.

The hole was the size of the sword.

“Cough-”

That was Alberu’s limit.

[Remaining battery: 10%]

The Sun Sword still had some battery left, but Alberu looked down at his hand.

His hands were shaking.

He no longer had the strength to hold his sword.

He really felt like he would faint.

But he did not want to faint.

“Ha, haha-”

Alberu laughed out loud.

A smile formed on the Heavenly Demon’s face. Alberu heard his voice.

“He’s coming.”

Yes.

He was coming.

Alberu lowered his head.

He couldn’t see anything inside the grey water, but…

Inside it-

‘I can see it.’

The grey water was splitting.

Something was coming up.

Alberu did not pull his sword out.

He continued to release light even if it meant the rest of the battery would be used.

He didn’t have the strength to use his word, but he could at least use the light to guide the way.

“Haha-”

Finally, Alberu started laughing.

He then used the last of his strength.

He pulled the sword out.

Craaaack—

The surface split.

Baaaaang!

And a large boulder shot through the surface.

A rock had cut through the water from the bottom of the lake.

Cale Henituse was standing on that rock.

Alberu and Cale…

The two of them made eye contact.

Cale spoke to Alberu in his usual nonchalant tone.

“I survived thanks to you, your highness.”

Alberu just started laughing.

He forgot about everything else and just started laughing.

“Ha, haha-”

It could not be helped.

Both of them looked like messes with blood all over themselves.

Alberu, let me guess, in typical rpg setting he needs the saintess by his side to have full access to the sun sword’s full power.
Or is the saintess of the sun god, a battery for the sun sword? Hahaha

Thanks for the update as usual 😁

I think it could be just virgin bleeding, where it is his first time channeling the Sun God’s divinity energy. Maybe?
