Trash of the Count’s Family Part 2 Chapter 406: Night and Light (2)

Cale approached the city wall while invisible.

He heard a conversation between guards and Guides along the way.

“Damn it. What is this? Why do we have to suffer because of Hin Pao? They suddenly want us to fill his share too?! How does that make any sense? We already finished our share!”

“I know, right? But what can we do? We’re the youngest ones here. We have no choice.”

The conversation between the two Guides was not restrained at all.

“But seriously, ordering us to find sacrifices the day before the ritual? Does that make any sense?”

“Haaaaaaaaa. I don’t know. Ah, I don’t think we got decent ones because we had to suddenly find them.”

The day before the ritual.

Those words reached Cale’s ears. Today was the day of the ritual.

Peek.

Cale looked back up at the grey fog.

Someone who looked like a Captain of the Guard went up to the two grumbling Guides.

“Aigoo. “Thank you for your hard work, Guide-nims. We will take care of the sacrifices from here.”

“Okay. We don’t have time to find any more, so take good care of them.”

“Yes sir.”

Cale looked at the ten or so captives.

They all had different appearances and outfits.

“…….”

“…….”

They were all so scared that they could not say anything.

‘They are not NPCs. They are not mid-level NPCs either.’

But they were also not users.

They were people dragged here from outside the game.

– Cale. It looks like we discovered something important.

It was exactly as the Super Rock said.

“*@($! (%$)#$*!”

One of the people being dragged by the guards shouted at that moment.

He shouted toward a Guide.

It was a language Cale could not understand.

– Cale.

Eruhaben, the only one to come with Cale, said something.

He was also invisible.

– This is a big deal if it is what I think it is.

But the ancient Dragon did not continue.

The Guard Captain headed toward that man.

“You damn bastard, a sacrifice dares to raise his voice at one of our esteemed Guides?!”

Pow!

The Guard Captain swung a club at that person.

“Stop.”

“Ah, Guide-nim.”

“Tsk. What are you going to do if we are unable to do the ritual properly because the sacrifice is damaged?”

“Ah. I’m sorry, sir!”

Another Guide walked up to the Guide who looked away from the bowing Guard Captain.

He looked at the man who was glaring at him despite being held down by the guards and opened his mouth.

“Take good care of this bastard. I like this gaze. These are the kind of bastards who survive until the end.”

He turned his gaze and asked another Guide.

“By the way, what is he saying? Weren’t you the one who brought this bastard from your world?”

“Keke.”

The other Guide could barely hold back his laughter as he answered.

“He’s asking if it really wasn’t a commission. He’s asking why I lied.”

“You didn’t abduct him, you hired him for a job?”

“Yeah. He’s a pretty famous knight. He said he was in a rush to pay for his daughter’s treatment. So he came with me right away when I put in a job for a guard.”

“Hooooo. He’ll fight well later.”

“Yeah. I’m sure he’ll fight better since he feels so wronged. Pfft.”

The Guide stopped laughing and motioned for the Guard Captain to step back.

“Oh, Guard Captain, hold on.”

The Guide then walked up to the man and whispered.

“@*%()-. @*%)^)^*!_).”

What he said made the man’s gaze change.

“…….”

The man bit down on his lips before quietly being dragged away.

“What did you say to him?”

“I told him that I’ll pay for his daughter’s treatment and find a doctor for her if he wins the fight tonight.”

The Guide who asked chuckled.

“You’re such trash.”

The Guide who brought the man shrugged his shoulders.

“Keke.”

He then extended his hands toward the sky and cupped them as if to receive something.

“For the advent of chaos-”

The Guide’s gaze looked sincere at least when he said that.

The intense longing seemed genuine.

“For the advent of chaos-”

“For the advent of chaos-”

The other Guide and the guards all gave short prayers as well.

“Then we will take them now, sirs.”

The Guard Captain moved with the guards.

– I’ll follow them.

Eruhaben stepped in.

– I’ll go see where they are keeping them imprisoned.

The ancient Dragon moved while Cale quietly stayed near the Guides.

Prince Consort Hin Pao.

He had been quite strong.

Not as strong as Cale, but still pretty strong.

“Let’s go too.”

“Yeah.”

A few guards remained to guard the door while the two Guides headed in.

They chatted as they walked.

“What happened to Sir Hin Pao?”

“Can’t you tell based on what happened in the Lan Kingdom? He’s probably dead.”

“Mm. The Saint-nim should give us an answer soon.”

“We just need to follow his will.”

The Guide then spoke as if it was a disgrace.

“It wasn’t even a real kingdom. If he died being unable to handle a fake kingdom… Hin Pao is such a stupid bastard. He may have been strong but he was clearly useless.”

“Ah, don’t say something like that. There weren’t many who showed as much faith as Hin Pao did. And-”

Cale’s eyes clouded over at what the Guide said next.

“And this place is not fake anymore.”

“I guess… That’s true.”

Smile.

The Guide smiled.

“It is in the process of turning real.”

“Yeah. That’s the reason we are bringing sacrifices from the outside.”

“Yeah, it was really hard in the past. We had to record all of them as NPCs or users. We had to be wary of those Hunter bastards and trick them too.”

The Guide shook his head as if he was getting a headache.

“That’s over soon too.”

“Yeah. Soon-”

The Guide looked up at the sky.

The sky was covered by grey fog.

“Soon…chaos will advent soon.”

“Yeah. And we are building a base for that moment.”

The Guide continued to look at the sky and mumbled.

“Oh chaos-”

The two of them then disappeared into the gate.

Cale did not walk into the gate and just watched before returning to the forest.

“How did it go?”

Cale was no longer invisible once he returned to the forest.

A magic circle.

Eruhaben had made it so that anybody who walks into this magic circle would stop being invisible.

“They were Guides and sacrifices.”

Cale heard Alberu’s question and shared everything he saw and heard.

“Oh dear. Today must be the night of pleasure.”

Rosalyn couldn’t help but gasp.

But her pupils were shaking. She must be thinking about what they should do.

“Cale.”

Alberu reacted to something else Cale had said.

“It is turning real?”

The conversation between the two Guides…

He was focused on that.

The Heavenly Demon was doing the same.

“It seems to mean that this place is turning from Virtual Reality to a real world.”

Alberu added on to that comment.

“That makes sense. The enemy’s true desire is to create the omnipotent god and turn New World into a real dimension so that they have their own omnipotent domain.”

“You could say that.”

Cale nodded his head.

“But young master Cale.”

Rosalyn chimed in.

“How is that possible?”

She did not hold back on her question.

“I accept that a system oversees this world but it cannot see everything. Based on everything that has happened until now, there are lots of things that fell beyond the system’s judgment.”

Nobody objected to her assessment.

“But science, magic… Looking past all those things, is it really possible to turn this world into a real world? Didn’t they say that this world isn’t even connected to divine items?”

That was right. Cale could not use the God of Death’s divine item here. That was why he could only contact the God of Death on Earth 3.

“Ah.”

Alberu gasped at that moment.

That gasp seemed to be a gasp of enlightenment.

“Then how does the power of the God of Chaos exist in this place?”

Rosalyn and the Heavenly Demon’s eyes clouded over when they heard that.

“!”

“……!”

They had realized something as well.

Raising my very own precious omnipotent god.

This game seemed to split reality and the Virtual Reality world, but the outside and inside were connected in some places.

Cale started to speak at that moment.

“I’ll need to check the details later through the God of Death, but.. I did come up with a hypothesis.”

Cale’s gaze sank low.

He recalled the records until now.

“The enemies.”

The Hunters.

The Demon World.

The God of Chaos’s side.

“They sacrificed many lives and dragged them into this world.”

The Transparent Bloods had a lab that did that.

That was what happened to the members of the Demonic race who disappeared from the Demon World.

That was the case for the sacrifices gathered by the Church of the God of Chaos.

“I thought that it was for the omnipotent god.”

The omnipotent god was inside this game.

The title of the game was ‘Raising my very own precious omnipotent god’ after all. And there should be a reason the Five Colors Bloods remain in this place.

Cale thought that someone around here was the person who would eventually turn into the omnipotent god.

“As such, I believed that they would sacrifice a ton of lives for the birth of the omnipotent god.”

The person who would eventually turn into the omnipotent god…

Kang Geun Mok had told them how he consumes people.

“But there are lifeforms in this world who were not offered as sacrifices.”

They didn’t ask who.

They all thought of someone.

“A good example of that is Count Ruiphe.”

Count Ruiphe.

He was not offered to the omnipotent god.

But he was still dragged into the game.

“I’m sure that an extremely large number of creatures that we have not noticed were dragged into this game. What if this world was Virtual Reality even at that moment?”

They were not just data but something close to a soul.

Maybe it was possible that their actual souls had entered into the game.

Maybe the enemies had a device that moves souls into this world?

Something similar to the mid-level NPC registration device.

‘Eden Miru.’

He was clearly an NPC but had a soul.

He too was an existence that proved that this world was not just a virtual world.

“Maybe they brought in real lives to make this world real?”

“Mm.”

The Heavenly Demon groaned.

Cale calmly continued.

“It is possible that soon, we will be able to contact the God of Death through the divine item in this world as well.”

New World.

Cale felt like he was slowly starting to grasp the truth about this world.

“Oh no.”

The Heavenly Demon commented in a low voice.

“I guess we can’t move slowly.”

The fact that the enemies might be more done with their preparations than they had expected…

Alberu and Rosalyn showed their agreement through silence.

“However-”

Cale opened his mouth.

The corners of his lips subtly curled up.

“I think that the enemies were looking for ways to stab each other in the back.”

Alberu, who received Cale’s gaze, soon gasped.

“Ah!”

He remembered the conversation that Cale had explained to them verbatim.

‘Yeah, it was really hard in the past. We had to record all of them as NPCs or users. We had to be wary of those Hunter bastards and trick them too.’

He opened his mouth to speak.

“The Church of the God of Chaos was tricking the Hunters about something from the beginning.”

“Yes, your highness.”

Cale felt like he knew what it was.

The Guides had mentioned it as well.

‘Chaos will advent soon.’

‘Yeah. And we are building a base for that moment.’

The Guides had also prayed about it.

“For the advent of chaos.”

Cale mumbled that prayer out loud and looked at the others.

“I think the God of Chaos is planning on entering this world.”

The God of Chaos would appear at a place created for the birth of the omnipotent god.

“It is probably to prevent the omnipotent god from getting stronger than him.”

Omnipotent.

Chaos probably wouldn’t like something omnipotent.

“And the base for the advent of the God of Chaos seems to be this Holy Land.”

The Night of the Beginning.

This place really seemed to be an important Holy Land.

“Ha.”

“Ah.”

“Mm.”

Alberu, Rosalyn, and the Heavenly Demon all gasped differently.

Cale continued to speak.

“I think we came properly, at the right time, to the right place.”

Cale calmly proclaimed.

“Let’s turn the night of pleasure into a night of chaos.”

To the enemies.

Everybody understood it was for the enemies even without it being said.

* * *

“Ryun! There are some here too!”

Cho discovered some faint tracks and approached Ryun.

“Ryun, I know you are careful, but… Let’s just follow it even if it is a trap. Do you really think we’ll fall for those bastards’ traps again?”

But Cho stopped talking for a moment after seeing what Ryun was doing.

“Cho.”

Ryun looked back at him.

“The family called?”

She answered his question.

“They believe the Saint is in the Holy Land.”

The Five Colors Bloods.

Information given by the family…

The Saint is in the Night of the Beginning.

“Hoooo.”

Cho’s eyes sparkled.

“That’s great. We might as well destroy the Holy Land and kill the Saint at the same time.”

He growled in a low voice and Ryun added on.

“The Third Emperor is going to stop by.”

“Mm.”

Cho groaned.

Wanderers who possessed the Five Colors-Grade Unique powers.

They were called the Three Emperors. The Third Emperor was naturally the third of the trio.

“Today?”

“No. Tomorrow.”

“Then it will be good to take care of things before then.

Keke.”

Cho let out a quiet chuckle.

“We just have to destroy everything before then. Don’t you agree, Ryun?”

“Correct.”

Ryun’s eyes were still full of anger.

She was following tracks to the Holy Land that she believed the enemies had left for her despite knowing that was the case.

There was no chance or even potential of falling for a trap again.

She would use her strength to destroy them all.

“Let’s go.”

They quickly headed toward the gorge.

The Night of the Beginning.

Cho and Ryun were moving toward it.

They looked up at the sky.

They could see the sky getting dyed red as they got to the end of the Jungle.

The sun was setting.

Night was coming.

* * *

“Huuuuff. Huuuuuuuuu.”

“Haaaa, wow, shit.”

Two people breathing heavily.

These two people crossed the desert to arrive at the gorge. No, the two users looked up at the sky with the setting sun and their eyes sparkled.

“Kahahaha! We can finally dig through the secret today!”

A man looked down at the Cliff of Death and laughed out loud.

“Haaaaa.”

The woman sighed and warned him.

“Hey. Don’t waste all of your energy now.”

“Of course, of course. Today is an important day!”

The man was a pretty famous user in New World.

He was a creator who specialized in RPOG content.

‘The Crazed Attention Seeker.’

That was his user name.

He had a large following for doing all sorts of bizarre things.

There was only one reason he was here with someone to help him film.

Today is the night of the new moon.”

The corners of his mouth started to go up with anticipation.

“The Root of the Beginning over there!”

The four trees that created the only bridge between the sides of the Cliff of Death.

The Crazed Attention Seeker’s eyes sparkled while looking at it.

“Today is the day that the bridge pulls back!”

His partner nonchalantly commented.

“So you are going to go diving underneath the bridge?”

“Yeah! Our followers are probably curious about the gorge underneath the bridge. It’s also interesting how the bridge only disappears on the nights of the new moon and the full moon!”

The Cliff of Death.

The Crazed Attention Seeker’s eyes were sparkling at the thought of doing yet another bizarre act, jumping into the Cliff of Death.

His partner calmly addressed the man known as ‘Crazy Eyes’ by his followers.

“Should be a good vid at least.”

“Kahahaha!”

Of course, his partner knew.

She knew that this punk was not doing this just for the views.

This punk really enjoyed doing bizarre things.

He seemed obsessed with the Devil’s Boundary these days.

“Just look forward to tonight!

Kahahaha!”

The Crazed Attention Seeker’s laughter echoed out with the desert breeze.

However, it could not cross the gorge to reach the Jungle or the Holy Land.

Naturally, it could not reach Cale either.

Cale had no idea about the Crazed Attention Seeker.

That was why the fact that a great legend that nobody could have expected, in fact, a great legend that even Clopeh Sekka could not have expected was about to be created today… Cale had no idea.

“Kahahaha!”

“Yup, there goes those crazy eyes. Tsk.”

The two users’ voices were drowned out by the sandy wind.

* * *

‘It’s over there.’

Cale looked toward the large Temple Complex.

There were numerous large and small buildings.

One of those buildings was the record room.

Cale and the others all infiltrated the Holy Land and arrived right in front of the Temple complex and the Church of the God of Chaos.
