Trash of the Count’s Family Part 2 Chapter 432: 2 roles for 1 person and the chaotic Demon World (7)

<2 roles for 1 person and the chaotic Demon World (5)>

“Human, are we following that hawk?”

“That’s not a normal hawk, nya!”

Cale looked at the sky and responded to Raon and Hong.

“Yeah. We will follow that hawk to start.”

Then they would be able to find where Sui Khan had written that message in blood and find the markings he left behind.

“I cannot predict how many days it will take to catch up to Mr. Sui Khan.”

It was as Clopeh said.

The hawk flew over to Cale as he held up the bloody message.

Cale opened up a map and showed it to the hawk to see if that might work, but the hawk did not do anything.

‘Basically, we can only follow the hawk.’

It would be difficult to move using teleport.

“Tsk.”

Cale subconsciously clicked his tongue.

‘We need to hurry.’

He had spent a day for Choi Jung Gun’s purification ritual and conversation.

He needed to move quickly to find Lee Soo Hyuk.

‘Does that guy think he’s the same as his prime right now?’

Team leader Lee Soo Hyuk.

He had truly been a steel human in his prime.

Nobody had been able to beat him in strength all the way up to his death. Even Choi Jung Soo could not do it.

But so what?

‘He’s a kid right now.’

Well, he was closer to a teenager… And he was a Beast person…

But his physique had yet to fully develop.

‘What can a guy like that do by himself?!’

Cale’s face started to look annoyed.

“…I… Will not let you off, seriously……”

Clopeh flinched after hearing the vicious tone coming out of Cale’s mouth.

But it did not work on the children averaging ten-years-old.

“Human, let’s go!”

“We need to head out, nya!”

Raon and Hong urged Cale forward.

As for On-

“I’m worried about if he can do it, nya.”

She looked at Cale with pity.

“Hmm?”

As Cale was confused by what she meant, Raon immediately answered.

“It’s okay! I’ll use flight magic to make it a smooth ride!”

‘Huh?’

Cale looked flabbergasted.

‘They were worried that I would not be able to keep up with that hawk?’

“Please don’t worry, On. I can carry him as well.”

Clopeh gently answered On.

“Ho!”

Cale was flabbergasted but the group was serious.

The group was happily chatting away with the others as if nothing had happened.

“Hey Choi Han, you guys make sure not to get hurt too!”

“Don’t worry.”

“Yeah, I know I don’t need to worry about you, Choi Han! But Heavenly Demon, Choi Han’s acting is almost excessively terrible, so you should be the one to talk to anybody you come across!”

“…….”

Choi Han became at a loss for words.

“Don’t worry.”

The Heavenly Demon could not hold back a smile.

But the smile disappeared once Aurora came over and showed them a video communication device.

“This is the last video communication device we received from Mr. Choi Jung Soo. I’ve cast a tracking spell on it so this video communication device should guide you to the spot Mr. Choi Jung Soo sent the message.”

The Heavenly Demon handed the video communication device to Choi Han.

“…North.”

The video communication device was pointing north.

Choi Han quietly watched and his gaze sank deeply.

‘You succeeded my power and you have Choi Jung Soo’s as well.’

Choi Jung Gun.

He recalled the meeting with Choi Jung Gun.

The two of their meeting was kind of boring.

Choi Jung Gun.

The first Dragon Slayer, Nelan Barrow.

Choi Han had succeeded the power of the first Dragon Slayer while also taking in Choi Jung Soo’s white yong and turned it into his own.

‘Choi Han.’

The words Choi Jung Gun had said with a smile had pierced right through his ears.

‘I am your ancestor and Choi Jung Soo is your descendant.’

Despite all of them looking similar in age, there was a long period of time in between them.

What Choi Jung Gun said after that…

‘But you are the only living human of the three.’

Choi Han felt suffocated when he heard that.

Choi Jung Gun and Choi Jung Soo had seen him alive, but…

‘We have already died and turned into wanderers.’

Choi Jung Gun spoke in a nonchalant voice.

Both he and Choi Jung Soo were not human.

‘You are a living human and a single-lifer.’

Single-lifer.

Someone who would have the qualifications to become a wanderer or a god upon death.

The Hunters were killing single-lifers to steal their powers.

‘You are probably the only living single-lifer left in our Choi family.’

Choi Jung Gun, Choi Jung Soo, and Choi Han…

The three of them were all from the same Earth, same Korea, same Choi family.

The Choi family of Kim Rok Soo’s Earth, other than Choi Jung Soo, had all seemed to die from the monsters that appeared during the Cataclysm.

‘Us single-lifers live a very long time. As long as we are not killed.’

They would live a long time as long as they weren’t killed as Choi Jung Gun had been.

A very, very long time.

So long that you might get bored.

So long that you might find it to be monotonous.

‘Choi Han. Let me say just one thing as your ancestor.’

Choi Jung Gun did not talk to Choi Han about the World of the Gods, the Hunters, or the omnipotent god.

He just said the following in a cold tone.

‘Live like a human.’

Choi Jung Gun was more similar to Choi Jung Soo than Choi Han.

The person with light brown hair and extremely deep eyes that the bottom could not be seen spoke to Choi Han.

‘Living doing whatever you want to do. No matter what-’

Choi Han did not feel any warmth in Choi Jung Gun’s eyes.

‘No matter what, I hope at least you get to live the life you want.’

But it still felt like some warmth could be felt.

Maybe that was the reason that Choi Han unintentionally shared his inner thoughts.

‘I am already living that way.’

Choi Han was currently living as he wanted.

Choi Han looked away from the video communication device and looked to the side.

He could see the flabbergasted Cale looking up into the air and shaking his head.

‘Yeah.’

Choi Han had felt something from that conversation with Choi Jung Gun.

For some reason, Choi Jung Gun seemed to want Choi Han to live ‘like a human’ or ‘not like a single-lifer.’

He didn’t seem to want Choi Han to become a wanderer.

He seemed to want Choi Han to live a very long time as a human.

He didn’t say it, but it felt that way.

‘Let’s not think about it right now.’

But Choi Han didn’t want to think about that right now.

Whether it was as a human, a single-lifer, or a wanderer…

No matter what he would be…

Regardless of how he ended up…

‘I just need to live however I want.’

He just needed to do whatever he wanted and live as he pleased, as long as it didn’t harm someone else.

Choi Han had learned that while being with Cale.

‘Of course, all Cale-nim seems to do is save others.’

It went from saving others to the world to different dimensions now, but…

Cale was still, to some degree, doing as he pleased.

‘Despite becoming more than human.’

Honestly speaking, Cale had strength that went beyond the levels of a normal person.

But anybody would be able to see that he was ‘human.’

Of course, people who didn’t know him, people who only knew a portion of his story would call him a legend, a god, or whatever, but…

‘He’s different.’

Looking into Cale’s life he was more human, no, more Cale than anybody else.

Choi Han had learned from Cale how to center your life and live that way.

That was why he planned on living that way as well.

‘Mm.’

However, he could not hide his concern after seeing Clopeh standing next to Cale.

‘That bastard only cares about his conviction.’

To Clopeh, Cale was an existence even higher than the gods.

Choi Han could confidently claim that was the case.

Because he knew Clopeh had tied his own life to Cale.

‘…I hope he doesn’t do anything stupid.’

Choi Han would not let Clopeh off if Cale lost the life he wanted because of Clopeh.

“What a vicious gaze.”

He heard Heavenly Demon’s voice at that moment.

“What?”

“Your gaze is very vicious right now.”

The Heavenly Demon chuckled and looked at Choi Han.

Choi Han’s expression did not look good and the Heavenly Demon continued to speak.

“In my eyes, you and that guy are the same.”

“…What?”

‘How can he speak such nonsense-’

“You look after that guy’s back and follow him too.”

“…….”

Choi Han could not say anything once the Heavenly Demon’s hand pointed at Cale.

“As long as Clopeh Sekka and those children are with him, there is no chance of Cale Henituse losing himself.”

Pat.

The Heavenly Demon patted Choi Han’s shoulder.

“So you make sure you don’t lose yourself.”

“Huuuuu.”

Choi Han sighed before nodding his head.

“Yeah. You are right.”

Choi Han looked away from Cale and the others and looked at the map and the direction the video communication device pointed toward.

“…….”

The Heavenly Demon quietly looked at him for a bit before turning his head.

‘Mm.’

He made eye contact with Cale.

‘Vicious over there too.’

The Heavenly Demon smiled and Cale nodded his head before turning away.

Cale had asked to talk to the Heavenly Demon for a moment while Choi Han and Choi Jung Gun were chatting with each other.

‘Hey. Keep an eye on Choi Han.’

‘Why? Is it because of Choi Jung Soo?’

How would Choi Han act when a blood relative like Choi Jung Soo was missing? The Heavenly Demon wondered if that was what Cale was worried about.

‘Yeah. He’s a pure kid but he doesn’t calculate things through when he is angry. So take good care of him.’

Pure kid.

The Heavenly Demon almost snorted again after recalling those words but held back.

‘They’re all so entertaining.’

The Heavenly Demon was the god of the Demon Cult. ‘To ask me of all people to look after someone so that they don’t get angry…

Nobody in the Demon Cult or even the entire Central Plains would dare to do that.

But that’s why this is so entertaining.’

The Heavenly Demon was truly enjoying this trip with the others.

‘Although this too will eventually end.’

The Heavenly Demon could not travel with them forever.

He had the Demon Cult.

But with the Central Plains having decided to help Cale’s group, the Heavenly Demon could at least freely roam around during that time.

Clap.

Cale gently clapped and addressed the group.

“Let’s go!”

Early at dawn…

Before the sun had yet to rise all the way…

Cale’s group split up into two teams and headed to the north and west.

Choi Han’s team to the North and Cale’s group following the hawk west.

“…….”

Aurora remained in the village and watched them move away.

She recalled the task Cale had left her.

‘The grey illness. I think it is the pollution of chaos. Could you please gather information on it?’

The grey illness that was stealthily spreading throughout the Demon World…

‘If the Church of the God of Chaos is spreading this illness in the Demon World, we have to stop them right away.’

Aurora had agreed with Cale.

“Even if I am-”

Even if she was currently at odds with the current Demon King…

Her heart to protect the Demon World was real.

The pollution of chaos spreading through the regular members of the Demonic race could not be allowed.

“…….”

As Aurora’s face had stiffened…

‘Ah. And one more thing.’

Cale had asked her for one more thing.

‘Are you unable to contact my uncle?’

He laughed as he continued.

‘Please inform my uncle to hand over my money.’

Cale clearly and accurately remembered how his uncle from his mother’s family, the House of Thames, had run off with his money.

He even recorded it so that he wouldn’t forget it.

“Mm.”

Aurora had tried to find him since making contact with Cale, but…

‘I can’t contact him.’

For some reason, she could not contact the guy.

She had clearly told him about making contact with Cale, but… All communications ceased after that.

“Do I need to look into it more-”

As Aurora quietly mumbled.

She turned around.

“May I help you?”

“Chief-nim.”

She felt a presence approaching her and looked at the person.

An old man was walking to her.

It was former Chief Tedrick.

“Did the sir leave?”

“Sir? Oh, are you talking about Mr. Cale?”

“Yes, ma’am.”

She quietly observed him before answering.

“Yes sir. He has left.”

“Are we not allowed to ask any questions about him?”

A lot of things seemed to be hiding within that question.

Aurora answered him.

“You are a smart person so I think you will know not to ask.”

“Mm. I understand, ma’am.”

The old man did not say anything else to Aurora and left.

He looked up at the sky as he headed toward his house in the village.

Darkness had gone away as the morning arrived.

‘I wonder who that esteemed sir is-’

The red-haired man who had created a phenomenal sight, the one who had created a miracle…

The old man wanted to see that man again.

“Father, that sir-”

“He left.”

No, it was all of the villagers that wanted to see him again.

The warm grey aura…

The miracle that the aura had created…

All those things had shaken the hearts of the members of the Demonic race who had left their village to survive.

“Mm. The grey illness-”

And Aurora did not notice this.

She was just satisfied that she got through to the former Chief to keep everybody quiet about it and continued to think.

“If the grey illness really is the pollution of chaos, we just need young master Cale-nim to purify it…”

The grey illness was slowly spreading.

If an entire village or city became swept up in the pollution of chaos like a communicable disease…

“Will he be able to save so many people at once?”

Aurora sighed and started to walk.

She had to first take care of the task she was assigned to do.

* * *

“Human, the hawk stopped!”

Raon pointed at the tree that the hawk had landed on.

“Mm.”

Cale quietly whispered with an unsettled look on his face.

“Let me down.”

“Yes, Cale-nim.”

Clopeh had a holy smile on his face as he gently placed Cale down from his back.

Clopeh had carried Cale all the way here.

Tatap!

Tatatap!

On and Hong, who had swiftly jumped across trees, landed at the bottom of the tree at the same time. On tilted her head.

“I don’t see any marks, nya.”

If even On was saying that, it meant that Hong and Raon had not found anything either.

Clopeh did not see anything as well.

“Human, do you see it?”

But Cale, who had traveled a long way on Clopeh’s back, inspected the tree the hawk was on.

Not a lot of things remained in good condition during his time as Kim Rok Soo, working under team leader Lee Soo Hyuk.

Trees, buildings, anything that could break had been broken.

Leaving and finding marks in such surroundings?

There was always a way.

“It’s over here.”

Cale found a small gap at the bottom of the tree.

There was a crack on a square rock.

Team leader Lee Soo Hyuk, as someone who could slash through anything, always left his mark on a piece of cement or rock.

“It’s to the north.”

The mark headed north.

They had come west for a long time but now had to go north.

‘Choi Han went to the north.’

Cale suddenly had a feeling.

‘Looks like we will run into each other.’

They would finally meet after going around and around.

“The map.”

Chhhhhhhhh.

Clopeh opened up the map.

“Let’s increase our speed.”

Cale took the lead this time.

Swooooooosh-

Cale shot forward with the Sound of the Wind supporting him.

The west was a plain with a forest.

Cale moved quickly through the plains before stopping in set intervals.

He found a slashed tree each time and one of the trees within a 2 meter radius always had a square rock.

The slashes looked like the sign but the rocks were the true signs.

“Northwest.”

Swoooooooosh-

“11 o’clock direction.”

Swoooooooosh-

Cale stopped walking.

He pointed to a spot on the map.

“I think it is this place.”

Cale’s gaze stopped on a spot on the map.

“Diorelle.”

Clopeh calmly commented.

“Count Ruiphe’s territory.”

The territory belonged to Count Ruiphe, who was believed to be dead but living as the Third Evil’s Ghost of Darkness.

Currently, it was a paused merchant city with nobody able to gain the title of its master.

Cale observed that place on the map. He then looked toward the hand holding the rock.

“The blood has dried.”

There was blood on the rock this time.

It wasn’t because a message was written in blood.

“He’s hurt.”

Team leader Lee Soo Hyuk was hurt.

“Cale-nim, I believe it is Diorelle.”

The last sign that Cale found was on a hill looking down at the central city of Count Ruiphe’s territory, Diorelle.
