Booboom-!
Because of the sound shaking the entirety of the Devil’s Boundary… The Jungle, Desert, Grasslands, and Trash Dump… Everybody in the different regions turned toward the direction of the noise.
The new moon.
Because it was dark and teleportation was impossible in the Devil’s Boundary, a dark night like this was one where the weak stayed quiet and even the strong preferred to rest than to fight.
The direction of the noise that broke the silence of that night was the spot that should be quieter than anywhere else.
The full moon and the new moon…
The only bridge that connected the Cliff of Death, the spot that split the Devil’s Boundary into four areas…
This was a day when that Root of Beginning was pulled back.
But they were hearing loud noises and feeling large vibrations from that Cliff of Death.
“…….”
“…….”
“…….”
“…….”
The Devil’s Boundary.
The existences that were quietly resting in this place slowly started to become alert.
Some of them were already heading in that direction.
Booboom-!
As for the person who created that situation…
Cale Henituse did not want to know or care to know about such a situation.
Boom boom.
His heart was beating wildly.
– I’m hungry.
The glutton priestess strongly expressed her feelings.
It was different from ever before.
– It’s something I have never tasted before.
An existence that the glutton priestess had never consumed before…
She was hungry for chaos.
Kugugu-
Cale just quietly stood there looking up.
But below Cale, the basin was completely covered in chaos.
“Huff. Huuuff!”
“S, save me-!”
The people who thought they would get consumed by fear and dread were breathing heavily.
The people who snapped back to their senses were asking to be saved despite still hearing noises in her ears.
“I, I’ll submit, so please save me-!”
This aura they were feeling on their skin…
They were begging the person trying to dominate them to save them.
As long as they could get out of this illusion, they didn’t care who dominated them.
“Holy shit-”
Someone who was still alert, no, barely managing to hold onto their sense of reason…
Cho didn’t know how to express his feelings.
‘A god-’
No.
“He’s pushing away a god……?”
A human was pushing away the power of chaos?
Actually, fighting against it?
And-
“What the hell is that?”
Ruuuuuuumble-
The gorge was splitting.
No, it was being destroyed.
The thing breaking through the sturdy boulders and quickly heading down…
Roots.
North, South, East, and West.
Large tree roots were moving down extremely quickly from all four directions.
It was as if they were not scared about the power of chaos.
These roots were crazily heading down as if they wanted to fight it.
“…Ho-”
He was at a loss for words.
‘Those crazy trees are that-’
“Who the hell is that person?”
It was this person’s power.
That’s how it felt.
Because he was the only one standing up straight.
He heard Ryun’s voice at that moment.
“…A transcender.”
‘What?’
Cho tried to ask what his sister meant, but he could not look away from that man.
It felt like he should not miss this moment.
Booboboboooooooooom–!
The tree roots heading down did not stop for anything.
Their bodies broke as they pierced through the rocks, but they did not care.
Trees could grow on cliffs and even in the desert.
As long as they can lay down their roots somewhere, they could survive.
Booboboboooooooooom–!
And those roots were looking for prey right now.
– I’m hungry.
Cale opened his mouth once the priestess said that again.
“Eat as much as you want.”
It was at that moment.
Boom-!
The four large trees that arrived at the bottom…
The numerous large and small roots of those trees…
Splash.
The roots threw their bodies into the grey water without any fear.
– It’s not enough.
Then they started swallowing the water.
Cale’s eyebrow slightly twitched.
Crack!
A root became dyed grey and exploded.
It wasn’t just one.
Crack! Bang! Crack!
Numerous roots exploded or broke as soon as they became dyed grey.
However……
– Will not break.
The glutton priestess did not stop.
New roots grew where the other ones exploded. Despite the little roots exploding, the large roots were still waiting without having consumed any of the grey water.
– Again.
The large roots now threw themselves into the grey water as well.
Boom!
But that was not the end.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
They then stabbed their bodies into the ground at the bottom of the water.
The roots fully settled in.
The roots had nothing to fear now that they had something to rely on.
This wasn’t fire that would burn it.
This wasn’t wind that would break it.
It was just water.
Something it consumed.
The roots continued to consume the water despite getting dyed grey.
Just as the glutton priestess consumed the dirt of the ground dyed in dead mana.
“Aha, hahaha-”
Cho became flustered and couldn’t help but laugh.
“Holy shit-”
‘What the hell am I watching right now?’
“The tree, holy shit, the tree is sucking it all up.”
A tree was consuming the water!
“Yes, fuck! What the hell would a tree consume if not water?! Fuck!”
Cho was flustered.
But he was also feeling a thrill down his whole body.
The cheers and screams echoing in his ears, the dreadful chaos that had all sorts of things mixed within it…they were all getting farther away.
Bang, crackle!
The chaos was shrinking despite the endless roots blasting away.
It could not be helped.
Although the roots that consumed the grey water were breaking, the water did not return to chaos.
– More, more!
The glutton priestess did not stop.
Booboboboooooooooom–!
More roots started coming down from the top of the gorge.
All of the roots except the minimum amount necessary to retain its roots in the gorge headed down.
Drip.
Cale didn’t even wipe the blood dripping down his mouth.
He just looked up and persisted.
“Pfft.”
But he still laughed.
“Huuuuuu.”
“Ha-”
The Heavenly Demon and Eruhaben…
The two of their breathing was lighter now.
He could feel them starting to stand.
He now had more help other than just Raon to leave things to once he was done.
“Ahh ahh-”
“Sob, sob.”
He could also hear the voices of the people slowly starting to return to their senses.
“This, this is impossible!”
“Chaos is shrinking?! No, it is not possible for chaos to be consumed like this!”
He could hear the despairing voices of the top executives of the Church of the God of Chaos.
That was why Cale couldn’t help but laugh.
“Why are you laughing?”
Cale’s smile became even bigger after hearing Eruhaben criticize him.
He looked up and answered rather than looking at the Gold Dragon.
“They’re coming.”
Booboboboooooooooom–!
Roots were coming through the now lighter grey fog.
And four extremely large roots among all of the roots…
The extremely large roots coming down from the four directions…
One of those four roots…
Oooooo-
He saw a large black yong on it.
“Human, I called Choi Han!”
Raon had called Choi Han over.
Choi Han was heading down riding on a root.
He and Cale made eye contact.
Choi Han’s pure face scowled.
He bit his lips after seeing the condition of his people.
Everybody looked terrible.
It was common to see Cale like this, but Eruhaben, the Heavenly Demon, and even Alberu…he did not expect them to be like this.
“Choi Han, I’ll save them!”
He heard Raon’s voice and then observed the blood dripping down Cale’s lips and what Cale was doing down here before quickly realizing what he had to do.
Tatap!
He kicked off the root he was standing on.
Tap.
He then landed on another root.
Small roots, tree trunks, branches growing on top of the grey water…
All of these were places Choi Han could step on.
Choi Han landed on the ground that Cale had created for him above the actual ground covered in chaos.
And-
Slash!
He swung his sword.
Baaaaaang!
“Ugh!”
“Ugh!”
People who seemed to be top executives of the God of Chaos…
Choi Han attacked the enemies that looked strong.
“Aaaaaaah-!”
“Pwahahaha, haha!”
He heard hallucinations in his ears.
He could faintly make out some illusions as well.
But the reality felt different.
Choi Han, who had not been attacked by the chaos from the beginning and was only stepping on the ground made by the trees, was not caught up by such hallucinations and illusions.
Someone’s despair?
Choi Han’s aura already had despair within it.
Someone’s pleasure?
Choi Han’s hope was not so small that it would be shaken by this level of pleasure.
Oooooo-
The small and faint black aura surrounding his body…
It was small and faint but it held the firm will that Choi Han held to never submit and walk his own path.
Since Choi Han’s aura was stronger than the first time he faced the power of the God of Chaos in the past…
The power that was at the level right before turning into a unique power had developed since then.
Slash!
Choi Han did not stop.
No, he hurried.
Even though the chaos was weaker, he still might end up getting swept up in it.
Slash!
“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! My arm-!”
Slaaash-!
“Why is a swordmaster……?!”
Choi Han just swung his sword with a stoic look on his face.
One of the top executives shouted in front of him.
“You think a mere human can stop the path of the God of Chaos?!”
Choi Han answered with a movement of his sword.
“Yeah.”
He then added on.
“We have a god on our side too.”
Cale, who was still looking up, opened his eyes wide at that moment.
“Oo-”
Alberu Crossman’s groan reached Cale’s ears at the same time.
Raon then addressed Cale.
“Human! They said they are the Holy Maiden and a Holy Knight of the Church of the Sun God! Human, don’t you know this Holy Knight?!”
Booboboboooooooooom–!
Two people were heading down on one of the remaining large roots.
One of them was the Holy Knight, Sir Boltien, while the other was the Holy Maiden.
Boltien glanced at the Holy Land underneath the grey smoke.
He then made eye contact with Cale.
“!”
The hair color was different, but it was that same person he remembered.
The person who let him know that danger was headed his way.
And then he saw another man next to this man, someone who could not snap back to his senses.
Boltien’s eyes opened wide after seeing this man.
“Holy Maiden-nim, is that the esteemed sir?”
The Holy Maiden, who was being carried by him, clasped her hands together instead of answering.
“Oh Sun!”
It was at that moment.
“Please save him!”
Her shout echoed through the chaos.
As her clear voice headed up to the sky…
Paaaat!
A bright light burst out of her body and headed up to the sky.
The new moon.
Light appeared at a spot without a moon.
As the orb of light floated up…
Twitch.
Alberu’s body started moving.
“Alberu!”
Eruhaben could tell that the Sun Sword in Alberu’s hand was absorbing the night.
[Accelerated Charging]
A message that only Alberu could see appeared and the Holy Maiden shouted.
“OH Sun, please defeat this chaos!”
The Holy Maiden, the person with the strongest Divine Power in the entire Church of the Sun God, had descended to the Holy Land of the God of Chaos.
Bang! Crack!
The roots were still exploding.
But the surviving roots continued to endlessly consume and consume some more.
And they persisted.
– I can consume chaos.
Once the glutton priestess finally made a decision…
Cale slowly lowered his head.
There was about two thirds of the grey water left.
“Ahhhhh!”
His lowering head flinched and he looked toward the sound of the noise.
He saw two more people heading down on the remaining large root.
“Human, you don’t need to pay them any attention! They’re good kids!”
Cale stopped paying them any attention after hearing Raon.
“So cool……!”
“Hey, you’re filming it properly, right? This is going to get us 10 billion views!”
“Fuck, I’m tearing up! Look at our cute little baby Dragon-nim!”
“Hey dumbass attention seeker! Is this the time for that right now?! Who is that red-haired man? Is he a god?”
Cale had no time to pay them any attention.
Of course, he would regret this decision very much in the future. Very very much.
But Cale had to deal with everything before he fainted.
Paaaat-
He could not miss the moment the orb of light floated up to the sky.
– The grey fog flinched.
As the Super Rock mentioned, the grey fog that had been lessening as the water decreased flinched once the light floated up.
Drip. The Holy Maiden started dripping blood as well.
He could not miss this chance that she had created.
Furthermore-
Rumble-
The sky was roaring.
No, the clouds were starting to roar.
“We’ll deal with the wanderers later.”
The Heavenly Demon.
He released his dark red cloud.
He then covered the grey smoke with the cloud.
The hallucinations became distant again.
Underneath the sky that only had light and a dark red cloud…
Cale looked down.
The basin that was covered in grey water…
Roots were taking place all over the place and revealing their presence.
Cale made up his mind after seeing the roots spreading all around.
He moved his hands, the hands currently stuck to the knife, forward.
Since the trees had taken root…
Now…
“Grow.”
He needed to create a forest.
“Swallow it all.”
Booooooooooooooooooooooooom—
The entire gorge started shaking.
The ground, the basin started to move up and down.
And…
They started growing.
Each root turned into a tree.
Big, small, an endless number of trees started growing.
They developed trunks, vines, and leaves.
“Ah-”
One of the believers plopped down on the ground.
He clasped his hands together.
The hallucinations and illusions disappeared.
The trees had consumed all of the grey water.
Crack.
Crack.
There were still trees dying in the process.
They could not handle it.
But the forest ended up blooming in the end.
“Ah-”
The believers were excited that the hell-like chaos had disappeared and they were facing reality.
Grey trees created a forest.
This Holy Land of the God of Chaos did not have any trees of plants until now.
A grey forest had now grown in such a place.
And the hell-like chaos became distant.
They couldn’t see or hear it anymore.
Instead, they only felt the aura of dominance surrounding them.
But the believer realized it.
That aura of dominance was what was saving him.
He also realized something else.
It was clear.
This dominating aura did not have any chaos mixed with it.
Wind blew toward the trees that had consumed chaos.
Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-
The grey leaves started shaking.
But the fragrance was so clear and radiant.
“Ah-”
The believer turned his head.
The trees all grew toward the same direction.
The Flipped Night, the center of the Holy Land…
The person standing on top of the boulder that shot up…
He was dyed grey as well.
The grey branches, the grey leaves, and the grey forest all grew toward one person.
It was as if they were growing to protect him.
Or maybe to follow his orders to protect them all…
The believer subconsciously spoke toward the person.
“Oh god-”
It sent electricity throughout his body.
A lone person was standing in the spot where chaos had disappeared.
And that person, Cale-
“F, uck-”
Cough!
He coughed up some blood and his body fell backwards.
– What a great meal.
He fell while listening to the glutton priestess comment in satisfaction.
