Trash of the Count’s Family Part 2 Chapter 399: You dare to smack me in the back? (2)

The wanderer, So Hee.

The injuries in her eyes were healed and she was no longer bleeding, but she could not see anything as she had both eyes closed.

“…You guys-”

She recognized Cale’s voice.

“Who the hell are you guys?”

“Haha-”

She could hear Cale’s bright laughter.

Right in front of her face.

She heard the voice extremely close to her.

“You finally wonder about that?”

She could hear the laughter in her voice.

“We are Arm. The secret force of the God of Chaos.”

“Lies!”

So Hee looked toward the direction of the sound.

“Cut the bullshit! Do you really think that I don’t know that you guys made me think that way?”

She was filling with rage.

The underground prison.

After contemplating for a long time in this place where she could not even tell the flow of time, Sui realized that Cale’s group was a ‘mysterious group.’

She now knew that they were a different kind of enemy.

“You made me mistake you as a subordinate of the God of Chaos……!”

But she could not continue.

“And?”

Cale asked back in a low voice.

Then a strong aura slowly started to fill the prison.

It was a power full of fear, a feeling that made her think of chaos.

“!”

So Hee’s body started to shake.

She thought that the only power that could oppress a wanderer like herself like this had to come from a god.

‘That is why I thought he was a subordinate of the God of Chaos……!

That was why I was mistaken!’

So Hee held back her fear and asked in a shaking voice.

“…Which god is it?”

“Ha.”

Cale scoffed.

So Hee’s shoulders curled up after hearing him laugh.

The aura filling up the prison, the Dominating Aura that Cale was releasing in controlled amounts was implanting fear inside her.

Pat. Pat.

Cale warmly patted the curled up shoulders.

“Hey So Hee.”

He shared his sincere feelings in a gentle voice.

His voice reached her ears.

“A god my ass.”

It was an emotionless statement with just true feelings.

“I hate gods.”

So Hee flinched at those words but she did not react much.

“And that omnipotent god that you guys are trying to create, I hate that thing even more.”

“……!”

But that part made So Hee react quite a bit.

Her mouth opened and she tried to say something, but…

“Choi Han.”

Choi Han immediately covered her mouth with a gag.

“……!”

She wanted to say something but Cale just quietly looked at her.

‘It isn’t as easy as I thought.’

The Heavenly Demon had told him.

‘She did say a lot of things to Choi Han and to me, but we looked into it and learned that they were all lies. That woman seems to believe that she can escape. That explains why she is just spewing nonsense.’

The Heavenly Demon had been shaking his head as he said that.

He was right. So Hee did believe that she could escape.

Another wanderer was indeed headed toward the Lan Kingdom, as if to respond to her belief.

“Hey So Hee.”

Cale continued to speak since her ears were not covered.

“You think that another wanderer will come save you, right?”

“…….”

“You have no hope.”

“……!”

Cale then motioned to Choi Han.

Choi Han tightly covered So Hee’s ears as well.

She could not see, hear, or speak. Although her limbs were already bound, Choi Han also covered her face and then picked her up.

“Let’s go.”

“Yes, Cale-nim.”

Cale and Choi Han left the empty underground prison.

They had So Hee with them.

She disappeared from the Lan Kingdom just like that.

* * *

Paaaat.

Instead, So Hee appeared in the Eastern Lienti Empire.

It was a thoroughly guarded place in the Empire’s capital, Hyunan.

It was the Imperial Palace.

In between midnight and early morning…

At the darkest time of the night…

‘Mm.’

Cale couldn’t help but flinch as soon as he arrived with Choi Han through the teleportation magic circle.

– There are 100 of them.

The Super Rock warned him.

Clang.

Choi Han placed So Hee over one shoulder and placed his other hand on his scabbard.

An armored swordsman stepped forward at that moment.

“Are you his Royal Highness’s close friend?”

Cale nodded his head and opened his mouth.

“Yes sir. But this seems a bit much for a welcoming party?”

Around 100 people.

These armored knights, who looked to be the core knights of the Imperial Palace, were surrounding the teleportation magic circle with their hands on their scabbards.

This did not seem like a welcoming party but a barrier.

“I will escort you, sir.”

The knight did not answer Cale and just turned around before he started walking.

Cale, Choi Han!

Cale turned his head after hearing the Super Rock’s voice and then was surprised.

Pat pat.

Cale quickly patted Choi Han’s shoulder.

Choi Han’s vicious looking face immediately turned innocent.

Cale finally felt relieved and followed behind the knight.

“Did you hear anything about who we are?”

The knight reacted to those words.

“I did not, sir.”

“Really?”

“This place is right next to his Royal Highness’ palace. As such, this is just regular course of business.”

Basically, he was saying that this many knights gathering to be on guard was normal and that Cale should not have any complaints.

At least that seemed to be what the knight was trying to say.

This guy seemed to be the Captain of the Guard at the Imperial Crown Prince Palace.

“Hooo.”

Cale gasped in admiration before responding.

“I see. But I told the Imperial Crown Prince something. I told him that maintaining secrecy was very important with this.”

The knight, who scowled a bit after hearing Cale not use honorifics while mentioning the Imperial Crown Prince, flinched after hearing what Cale said.

“100 people saw our faces. This is bad.”

He was mumbling as if nothing was wrong and sounded pretty lighthearted.

“What should I do? How do I take care of 100 people who have already seen us? It’s not like I can just get rid of them.”

Although he sounded lighthearted, the contents were anything but that.

The knight subconsciously stopped walking, turned around, and flinched.

Cale was looking at him without even the slightest bit of a smile on his face.

Cale calmly answered.

“100 members. You’ll need to give me their information.”

Cale had sent Ahn Roh Man a message through Alberu.

< We have someone extremely important in dealing with the Transparent Bloods. We need to imprison her in the underground prison, so we are requesting an efficient response. >

Wasn’t that enough to naturally know that secrecy was important?

Cale’s discontent toward Ahn Roh Man’s way of dealing with things was slowly growing.

‘Secrecy is extremely important with this.’

Cale and Choi Han’s face. And although they did not see So Hee’s face, they saw her size and silhouette.

That was the reason Cale was strongly sharing his feelings to this person who seemed to be the Captain of the Guard.

“…….”

“Mm.”

The knight groaned before speaking.

“Please first follow me.”

The knight resumed walking.

– Cale.

The Super Rock started speaking again.

– I think Choi Han should have noticed. The knights following us right now… They are all quite skilled.

From the armor to their appearances, these 100 knights seemed quite serious for just being the guards for the Imperial Crown Prince Palace.

Their steps and postures were even more serious.

– There is also nobody else around us.

The Imperial Crown Prince.

From the place they teleported into and on the path to the Imperial Crown Prince Palace…

There was nobody other than these knights.

Not a single maid or attendant passed by.

It might be because it was late, but there wasn’t a single guard either.

That meant that Ahn Roh Man did pay attention to secrecy regarding Cale, Choi Han, and So Hee.

Cale looked to the side.

Choi Han was still tense.

– The knights are quite strong.

After hearing the Super Rock comment on their strength again…

Cale opened his mouth to speak.

“Is it really okay to go see his Majesty like this?”

“!”

The 100 knights stopped moving.

Right in front of the Imperial Crown Prince Palace…

The knights stopped there and remained silent.

The knight leading Cale had to turn around again.

“…….”

He looked at Cale with a complicated gaze before sighing.

As he opened his mouth to speak.

Creeeeeak.

The door to the Imperial Crown Prince Palace opened.

“Please come in.”

An old man, who clearly looked like the Chief of Staff, bowed toward Cale.

“Let’s go.”

Cale motioned to Choi Han with his hand.

As if it was to be expected, Cale, Choi Han, and So Hee…

Only the three of them walked through the open door.

Creeeeeak.

The door closed and the old man addressed Cale.

“The First Knights Brigade only exists for his Majesty, so you do not need to worry about secrecy.”

Cale looked at the old man with an odd gaze.

“We heard that you were important friends of his Royal Highness. This happened to ensure your safety so please accept my apologies regarding this extreme discomfort we may have caused.”

The old man then pointed at the hallway.

To be more specific, he pointed to the door at the end of the hallway.

“I will escort you there, sir; Someone is waiting for you.”

Cale nodded his head and followed the old man.

There was nobody here.

All of the lights other than the ones lighting the hallway were out.

Even if he had not been confirmed yet, it was still too empty for someone who was accepted as the Imperial Crown Prince.

It should all be because of Cale’s visit.

The room at the end of the hallway…

The Emperor…

Ahn Roh Man’s older brother, the AI, should be there.

‘Steisen.’

That was the Emperor’s name.

Knock knock.

The old man knocked once he reached the end of the hallway.

Creeeeeak.

The door opened with a noise.

A knight inside had opened the door.

And beyond that knight…

There was someone standing by the window with his back toward them.

“Please go in here.”

The old man told Cale and the knight walked out of the room as well.

Cale and Choi Han walked into the room that was empty other than the man by the window.

So Hee naturally came with them.

Creeeeeak.

The door closed.

“…….”

Cale did not speak first.

He just stared at the back of the man who was silently looking out the window before resuming his walk.

He then nonchalantly walked over and sat on a couch.

“You sit too. You can just drop her on the ground somewhere.”

Cale looked at Choi Han and patted the seat next to him.

“Yes sir!”

Choi Han immediately put So Hee down and sat next to Cale without any hesitation.

“…Ha.”

Emperor Steisen quietly watched before scoffing.

He was now looking toward Cale.

“Please sit here.”

Cale pointed toward the head of the table.

He then continued.

“I’m busy. Let’s cut this peacocking nonsense.”

The three strong.

The Land of Knights, The Eastern Lienti Empire.

The Land of Art, The Western Breeze Empire.

The Land of Training, The Northern Lan Kingdom.

The country with the strongest force out of the three…

As the Land of Knights, it made sense that knights were the first to greet Cale here.

Cale leaned against the couch and asked the Emperor.

“Do you want me to treat you like an Emperor?”

“…….”

Cale nonchalantly commented toward the silent Emperor.

“I’m here to meet Ahn Roh Man’s older brother today.”

Emperor Steisen’s eyebrows slightly rose up.

He opened his mouth to speak.

Cale heard his voice for the first time.

“What if I said that you need the Emperor’s permission to use the Imperial Palace’s underground prison?”

Did Cale really think it was right to say that he was here to see Ahn Roh Man’s brother when he needed the Emperor’s authority?

Cale answered that question.

“I can’t give my card to someone I can’t trust.”

Whether you are the Emperor or whatever… Cale only came here because he could trust him as Ahn Roh Man’s brother.

“Ahn Roh Man was not wrong when he said you guys were trustworthy but I have to watch myself so that I don’t get swindled.”

Emperor Steisen did not sit at the head of the table but at the seat across from Cale.

“As my younger brother’s friends, this is more appropriate, right?”

Cale cheekily nodded his head at the Emperor’s comment.

“That is true. That is why you sent all your subordinates out to chat quietly.”

“That’s right. I have to be thorough in my appearance as Emperor in front of everybody in this world.”

Cale nonchalantly commented.

“That is how you don’t get caught?”

The Emperor smiled instead of answering.

He threw a different question instead.

“When can I see One?”

“When I get notified.”

One, the AI dispatched by the system maintaining RPOG.

She wanted to meet with Emperor Steisen.

“I guess the Transparent Bloods are messing with this world quite a bit if the system is making a move.”

Emperor Steisen looked down at So Hee on the ground.

“You said she’s from the Five Colors Bloods?”

“Yes sir. She is a mid-level NPC so you need to hide her deep in the underground prison. You need to make sure nobody finds out.”

“Just leave it to us.”

Steisen said that he would take care of it without any hesitation.

“We will thoroughly guard her so that she cannot escape at all.”

He confirmed it to Cale once more.

For Cale, who heard that the Empire’s underground prison was even scarier than the one in the Lan Kingdom, this was trustworthy enough.

Furthermore, Emperor Steisen was closer to Cale than the Lan Queen.

It was like that despite this being their first meeting.

“Ahn Roh Man told me a lot about the things you are doing.”

“Is that so?”

The Emperor moved past the issue of So Hee and to something else.

“Large-scale warfare is possible in New World after this last update.”

“It is.”

It was a sudden change of topic but Cale just listened carefully.

“They said it is for users to create new nations, but realistically, I think this episode was created for the Transparent Bloods to allow their allies to create their forces within New World.”

“Yes sir. That is correct.”

The Transparent Bloods, Five Colors Bloods, God of Chaos, and the Demon World…

It was for them to cement their spots in New World.

‘Or they may need the chaos of war as they prepare for the omnipotent god.’

Cale didn’t share that part with Emperor Steisen.

“I thought that it would eventually end up like this.”

Cale quietly observed the Emperor.

The Land of Knights, The Eastern Lienti Empire.

According to the game synopsis, it was less than 20 years since it started to be called by that name.

Emperor Steisen.

The number of knights increased exponentially since he ascended the throne.

“Your Majesty must have been preparing for war.”

“That’s correct.”

What kind of war was it?

The answer was obvious when Cale considered who the war was against.

“You were planning on fighting against the Transparent Bloods and their allies inside New World?”

“Yes. I’ve been waiting for those Transparent bastards to create their own faction within New World.”

“To strike them at that time?”

“That’s correct.”

While Ahn Roh Man was moving to save Earth 3…

Emperor Steisen was making moves for New World.

Even without their desire for revenge against the Transparent Bloods, their respective worlds were important to them.

“I heard that you were currently creating conflict between the Hunters, the Demon World, and the God of Chaos.”

“Yes sir. That is correct.”

“You are trying to get them to fight each other?”

“I am.”

Emperor Steisen’s eyes were sparkling as he watched Cale admit it without holding back.

“I’m sure it is bound to happen as they fight, but…”

He made a request to Cale.

“Make them show their faces above ground in New World. Even if it is just the tiniest bit.”

Make the Hunters and the other enemies show their faces above ground.

Basically, make it so that the NPCs and users of New World can clearly tell who they are.

Cale asked the person who was responsible for creating the Land of Knights.

“To fight them?”

“Yes.”

The Emperor admitted to it.

He then added on.

“I have the power and also, I am in a position to influence public opinion.”

The Emperor of one of the three strongest nations in New World.

The power that someone in that position had was almost endless.

“The omnipotent god is the goal of the Transparent Bloods?”

And an Emperor should know how to draw the big picture.

Steisen had his own picture he was drawing.

He shared it with Cale.

“I plan on making an offer to One when I meet with her.”

The large picture he mapped out…

“The entire New World fighting against the omnipotent god to save New World.”

To make something grand like that possible…

“To make such a quest. That is what I’m going to ask her to do.”

Once the system dodges the Transparent Bloods and publicly announces that quest throughout the server…

Steisen was certain that such a grand-scale quest like that would be enough for him to draw out many different things.

He had a passionate look on his face as he continued.

“We are going to make the omnipotent god kind of like a Demon King. Public enemy number one. Then all sorts of forces in New World as well as the users will rise up to become the heroes who save New World from the Demon King.”

More than the quests that the users were doing right now to become rulers…

This quest would light a bigger flame in the users.

And it would give a reason for all of New World to gather as one.

“Shouldn’t we draw out such a picture in order to fight against the Transparent Bloods, the current operators of the game?”

As Emperor Steisen smiled and said that…

“Umm-”

Cale hesitated before opening his mouth.

“Mm.”

No, he stopped again.

“What is it? Speak freely.”

“You see…”

Cale overcame his hesitation and resumed speaking.

“That is already in progress.”

“…Huh?”

“Uhh, mm. It’s not a quest for the entire server, but…”

‘Now that I think about it, Ahn Roh Man doesn’t know about that yet.’

Cale thought about something he had yet to tell Ahn Roh Man and thought that it was time to share it.

So he did so without any hesitation.

The truth was…

“The system already gave a quest to a hero to stop the omnipotent god.”

“…Huh?”

“Haha.”

Our crown prince, Alberu Crossman, as the hero, had to find a party to defeat the omnipotent god.

“…There’s already a quest?”

“Yes, your Majesty.”

“A hero has already been selected……?”

“Yes, your Majesty. The sword the hero will use has been chosen as well.”

“… When?”

“It’s been a while.”

“…Huh?”

The Land of Knights, The Eastern Lienti Empire.

Steisen, the man known as the Iron Blooded Emperor, looked at Cale with a blank look on his face.

“Haha!”

Cale laughed awkwardly and pointed to his side.

“Choi Han here is the hero’s instructor.”

“…Huh?”

“Mm.”

The Emperor looked at Choi Han with a flabbergasted look while Choi Han groaned and avoided his gaze.

“…….”

“…….”

“Haha!”

Cale continued to laugh through the two of their silence.

* * *

At the same time over at the Church of the Sun God…

‘Have you found the location of the Sun Sword?”

“Yes, your Holiness. I think I will be able to spot it!”

The Holy Maiden and the Pope were looking for the divine item, the Sun Sword, as well as the person who had awakened that Divine item. They were looking for the person chosen by the Sun God.

* * *

“Hmm?”

Alberu felt something weird and rubbed the back of his head.

He suddenly thought about someone’s face.

“…Cale Henituse, did that little punk cause some issues again?”

For some odd reason, he could not get rid of this leery feeling.

* * *

“Haha!

As for Cale, he was continuing to laugh while looking at the blankly staring Emperor.

It was best to just laugh when you had nothing to say.
