Trash of the Count’s Family Part 2 Chapter 395: The Birth of Evil (12)

Click.

The door opened and Raon rushed in.

“Human!”

Flap flap.

It had been a while since Raon spent this much time apart from Cale. Specifically, it was basically the first time he was away from Cale for so long for something that was not bad. As such, the flapping of his wings seemed extremely cheerful.

“Did you go smash everything like you wanted?”

“…I went to steal something?”

“So you didn’t destroy anything?”

“I did.”

“I knew you would! Hehe! I’m going with you the next time you go to Earth 3! I’m the best when it comes to destroying things! Hehe!”

Cale just remained silent because Raon did not say anything wrong. He had no idea that Raon had made up his mind to do a ‘destruction collab’ with Rosalyn next time.

“Cale-nim.”

And finally, the disaster itself. Well, he faced Clopeh Sekka, who wasn’t completely at the level of a disaster yet.

“Uhh, mm.”

Cale suddenly felt at a loss of words.

[Recovery rate 99.31% (Remaining time: 23 hours 19 minutes)]

[Birth Ceremony Progression 159%]

[Reward rank undetermined]

He wanted to ask why the quest completion rate ended up like this.

“Did you have a nice trip, Cale-nim?”

But he got too scared to ask after seeing the smiling Clopeh.

‘…Did I make the wrong choice?’

It had been a while since Cale regretted his decision like this.

“I gave my body and soul to do the task you assigned, Cale-nim.”

“Ah.”

Cale gasped.

“Everything is ready, so you just need to wait for the day, Cale-nim.”

The smiling Clopeh…

His gentle voice…

His extremely happy eyes…

The way they sparkled with excitement…

‘Ah, I’m screwed.’

No matter what happened, Cale realized that he was screwed.

And-

“Hahaha-”

He laughed.

“Yeah. Great job!”

‘Okay then, whatever happens happens!

I’m not going to live in the game anyway. It’s just the Dragon half-blood bastard who is going to end up embarrassed.

Yeah, the birth ceremony will be something that people quickly forget about.’

Honestly speaking, look around.

Who would remember and talk about the birth of someone not related to them for years?

‘Yes! It’s just an event! A quest!

So!’

“Okay, I’ll just wait.”

‘Let’s just sit back and receive the quest reward.’

“Hahaha!”

Cale laughed, and…

“Human, why do you keep laughing like that? I’m going to laugh too! Hahaha!”

Raon laughed as well.

“Haha-”

Aurora happily laughed after seeing the reward in Cale’s hand.

“Heh.”

Clopeh quietly chuckled.

“!”

Cale flinched because that chuckle felt ominous, but there was something he needed to do.

“Clopeh. I’ll hear about the progression later. There’s something I have to do first.”

“Yes, Cale-nim. I understand. Then I will head over to Eden Miru-nim’s recovery room for now.”

‘Eden Miru has a separate recovery room?’

Cale thought that a lot had changed since he had left, but he ignored it for now.

“Okay. I’ll go there when I’m done.”

“Yes, Cale-nim. But Cale-nim.”

Clopeh cautiously called out to Cale right before he walked out the door.

“Once the birth ceremony starts, there is something I would like to ask you to use your powers for, to a level that does not harm your body. It is not much; just a trivial thing.”

“Ah. Okay. It doesn’t matter as long as it doesn’t tax me too much.”

Cale answered without thinking much about it.

“Thank you, Cale-nim.”

Clopeh smiled brightly.

‘Huh?

Should I have said no?’

As Cale was about to have that thought…

“Goodbye then.”

Clopeh ran off extremely quickly.

Click.

The door opened and closed really fast and Clopeh was gone.

“Human, why do you have such a leery look on your face?”

“…It’s nothing.”

Cale ignored the ominous thought and headed toward the bed.

The small glass bottle in his hand… The liquid inside it…

“We just have to pour this on top of his forehead.”

Aurora clasped her hands and looked extremely anxious.

“Human! Is the Ghost of Darkness about to wake up?”

“Yeah. Soon.”

Cale opened the glass bottle.

The liquid inside didn’t have a smell or color.

“…….”

Count Ruiphe looked as if he was peacefully asleep.

Cale tipped the bottle and the liquid fell out.

Plop.

The moment the liquid touched Count Ruiphe’s forehead…

Paaaaat!

“Ugh!”

“So bright!”

The light was so bright that Aurora and Raon had to cover their eyes.

Cale scowled as well, but he still poured out all of the liquid in the bottle.

Plop.

As the final drop left the bottle…

“Human, the liquid disappeared!”

Maybe all of the liquid got absorbed into Count Ruiphe’s head along with the bright light because there were no traces left.

Ding!

Cale heard a notification ding.

It was something only he could hear.

[You have used your reward!]

[The Ghost of Darkness, Ruiphe, has regained his past memories as ‘Count Ruiphe’.]

“Mm.”

Ruiphe groaned and scowled.

“Count-nim!”

Aurora called out to him in a shaking voice.

“…….”

Ruiphe’s slowly opened his eyes.

Blink blink.

He blinked a few times before looking around.

His gaze stopped on Aurora.

“You-

Ahem.”

He let out a cough before continuing to speak.

“You’ve grown much stronger.”

“Ah.”

Aurora plopped back down on a chair.

She leaned against the chair as if she had no strength in her body before smiling.

“It’s been a long time, Count-nim.”

Count Ruiphe.

His memories had truly returned.

Aurora could see the serious Count Ruiphe she knew despite this one looking so young.

“…….”

Ruiphe then turned to look at Cale.

He looked at Cale for a long time before speaking.

“Thank you very much.”

He then added on.

“Oh greatest of all evils.”

The corners of Cale’s lips curled up at that moment.

‘As expected.’

Ruiphe’s conscience was more ‘The Ghost of Darkness’ than the ‘Count of the Demon World.’

He had just recovered his lost memories.

Cale started speaking now that he confirmed this fact.

“I’m sure the two of you have a lot to discuss, so I’ll head out first after saying one thing.”

“Mm. Are you not going to stay here with us?”

Aurora, who was thinking that the three of them had a lot to discuss, showed her disappointment. But Cale pretended as if he did not notice.

‘I can’t get more involved with the issues of the Demon World.’

Aurora probably wanted to discuss the Demon World, but Cale felt like he had already done more than enough by capturing one of the current Demon King’s Eight Generals, Viscount Deshuran.

He pulled out a pile of papers from his pocket.

“This is the report about the experiments the Transparents ran on the members of the Demonic race. And there is also proof that it was the current Demon King’s side that delivered them to be experimented on.”

“……!”

Aurora’s eyes opened wide.

She held the documents Cale handed her with shaking hands.

“This-”

“Yes. I think the two of you can discuss how you will use these things.”

Gulp.

Aurora’s pupils were shaking as she gulped.

She had gained a dagger to stab the current Demon King with and the justification for all of her actions.

Furthermore, an ally who had the wealth to be the foundation for all of this had returned as well.

“There is one thing you need to know.”

Her heart was thumping wildly but she still managed to hear Cale’s voice.

“When we attacked the Transparent ©’s lab, we pretended to be the God of Chaos’ Arm. The current Demon King also believes that Arm captured his subordinate and got in his way.”

Cale saw the sparkle in Aurora’s eyes as she listened to him and did not say anything else.

‘I’m sure she’ll take care of it.’

Aurora.

She was the leader of the Arbitrators and the only child of the former Demon King. But she still lacked a lot to fight against the large faction led by the current Demon King.

But this dominant position that she finally earned…she could gain a lot based on how she uses it.

“The God of Chaos. I guess we will need a lot of help from ‘Arm.’”

Aurora smiled and commented, making Cale smile back.

‘Yes, that’s it.’

The Demon King, the Hunters, and the God of Chaos.

Create as much friction between them so that their rift grows as much as possible.

Grow bigger while that happens and then use this weapon known as the truth to flip the situation.

“It would be great to make them fight each other.”

Cale shared his simple thoughts and was about to leave the bedroom with Raon when he flinched.

“Ah. And you know, right?”

He was bringing up something he had told Aurora before.

“Thank you for letting a few members of the Demonic race help us.”

Members of the Demonic race who use grey mana.

They were perfect to disguise as believers of the God of Chaos.

“I plan on pretending to be the Saint after we loot the God of Chaos’ Holy Land in a bit. Haha!”

“Human, are you scamming someone? Hehe!”

He laughed leisurely before leaving with the equally happy Raon.

Click.

Aurora blankly stared at the closed door before turning her head.

Count Ruiphe was observing her and started to speak once they made eye contact.

“We need to dye the Demon World with chaos.”

The Ghost of Darkness, Ruiphe.

“The current Demon King is the Demon King of Sloth.”

He was called that way probably because of his feelings toward everything.

“That is probably because he has never experienced hell.”

Ruiphe. He recalled the moments he was experimented on and killed.

He had successfully been reborn as Count Ruiphe in the game, but his family members had all died from the pain.

That dreadful hell…

“He won’t be so bored inside hell.”

Ruiphe had a small smile on his face but a quiet anger was burning inside him.

“…….”

He looked away from Aurora, who could not say anything, and looked up at the ceiling as he continued to speak.

His voice was very quiet.

“There should be an existence that controls chaos and hell as well.”

“Excuse me?”

As Aurora did not hear properly and asked…

“It’s nothing.”

He just smiled.

‘Oh greatest of all evils.

The Demon King, the God of Chaos, and the Hunters…

To get these three large factions to fight each other…

You truly are the greatest of all evils.’

“…So I should believe in you.”

Count Ruiphe, no, the Ghost of Darkness, Ruiphe, had clear anticipation in his heart despite the feelings of desire to get revenge.

* * *

“The God of Chaos’ forces appeared on the Transparent Bloods side as well?”

“That seems to be the case, my lord.”

The Demon King of Sloth.

He tapped on the armrest and chuckled.

“And you still have not found the person who messed with my soldiers?”

“…That is the case, my lord.”

The individual kneeling on the ground was shaking.

But the Demon King was not looking at him.

He was looking out the window as he spoke.

“How entertaining.”

Tap. Tap.

He looked quite entertained as he tapped and swiped the armrest.

“It truly is entertaining.”

The vassals did not know where the Demon King was looking.

All they could feel was that his lethargic eyes looked a bit entertained right now.

There was only one reason the Demon King of Sloth stopped being bored.

“Gather the soldiers.”

And…

“Summon the Seven Generals as well.”

The Demon King’s Generals were down from eight to seven with Viscount Deshuran gone.

“Also contact the God of Chaos and the Transparent Bloods.”

War.

The only time the Demon King of Sloth stopped being lethargic was during times of war.

But only when it was a match against a good rival. That was the only time he looked truly alive.

* * *

The Dragon half-blood, Eden Miru.

The soul who lived over 900 years and then continued his life as a Bone Dragon.

The time remaining before that soul was reborn in a new form…

“…10 hours 29 minutes.”

After calculating that…

“Noon.”

Once the night ended, morning arrived and the sun reached its apex…

That was when Eden Miru would be born.

“…….”

Cale clenched his eyes shut.

Cale and Eden Miru were the only ones in the recovery room.

Clopeh’s report was on his knees.

“…….”

He looked at the egg wrapped in a flower-patterned swaddle.

“…I’m sorry.”

…Clack.

It was a movement that showed understanding and resignation.

< - 100 or so scouts dispatched by the other Six Evils (all except the Third and Seventh) discovered. But we are feigning ignorance. - At least four of the other Evils are expected to send mid-boss grade individuals or higher, publicly or stealthily, to scope out the birth ceremony. - The Western Empire and the Eastern Empire are strengthening their borders. The different Magic Towers are starting to send magic scouts to the Seventh Evil. - Implications regarding the birth were sent to New World’s three strong, five mid, and ten weak forces... : Implications regarding the birth are not invitations or other texts. They involved causing numerous weird phenomena that implied the birth of Evil and making them truly feel that a ‘legend’ was being created. ‘Weird phenomenon meant a total of 39 patterns involving things like, ‘a dark red sky covered by crows,’ ‘sudden appearance of whirlwinds, storm clouds and thunderbolts for a total of 39 patterns. >

Clopeh’s report was close to 100 pages.

It was also difficult to hold it.

‘….He created unbelievable irregular sights throughout the continent…? This crazy bastard.’”

Clack clack.

“They created videos and posted on the community notice boards to gather some more interest?” How did they know about that? I thought the story of a legend was something that you could not fathom and took care of itself. So why did they bother to upload videos? Haaaa. Crazy bastard.”

Clack clack.

“You can’t believe it either, right?”

Clack clack.

“Man, it must have been rough on you.”

Clack clack.

“But it’ll be better after tomorrow. Mm.”

Clack?

“Mm. It’ll probably get better?”

…Clack….c….lack.

Cale did his best to ignore the report that showed the progression order of the birth ceremony, no, the birth legend.

“Hey, you just need to be born well, okay? We will take care of the rest.”

C…lack…c…l…la…aaaaack……

Eden Miru ignored it as well.

< Birth concept: Birth of the greatest of all evils >

< All those watching will shake in fear at the dark, majestic, and glorious birth >

< Necessary components: Cale-nim’s aura, the Heavenly Demon's aura, Choi Han's aura, magic circles by three Dragons...... >

Cale really didn’t have to overdo it tomorrow.

– Cale. I want to do everything I can to celebrate the birth of the Dragon half-blood.

The Dominating Aura spoke solemnly, in a tone befitting his imposing voice.

“Mm.”

‘Well, we’ll make it through one way or another.’

Cale just brushed past it.

It was just a quest.

* * *

As it got closer to noon…

At a time when the sun should be up over fairytale land…

“…T…the sun disappeared……!”

Someone shouted in fear and looked in a direction.

The white castle.

The castle known as Cotton Candy Castle…

The place Eden Miru would be born…

Everybody focused there.

Clack.

Cale put down the egg that was on his side and looked at the screen.

[Recovery rate 99.98% (Remaining time: 0 hours 57 minutes)]

[Birth Ceremony Progression 197%]

[Reward rank undetermined]

…With less than one hour left until the birth ceremony…

The progression rate had shot up close to 20)%.

Cale felt as if he understood the reason behind it.

Caw caw-

The crows delivered some information.

Gashan shouted.

“The greatest mage of the Eastern Empire has snuck into the Seventh Evil!”

“I believe the Western Empire’s sword master’s group has come as well!”

“Members from three different Magic Towers spotted as well!”

It was chaotic in the human world.

“Hooooo. The second boss of the Second Evil is here.”

“The shadow of the Sixth Evil discovered!”

The Eight Hells were a mess as well.

“All citizens and boss-level mobs are gathering at Cotton Candy Castle! There seem to be at least 100,000 and they will soon surround the castle!”

The vast field surrounding Cotton Candy Castle…

The citizens of the Seventh Evil were gathering together to wait for the arrival of their new master.

“It should start soon. Hoho.”

Cale looked at the laughing Clopeh and clenched his eyes shut.

Shh, shh.

He also gently patted Eden Miru’s egg.

Clack!

The egg tried to move fiercely as if to avoid his hand……

“Hoo hoo.”

Everything became quiet with Clopeh’s laugh.

The baby boss of the Seventh Evil should be born soon.

Of course, his real age was over 900 and almost 1000.
