One day, the human brings home a weird thing.
Raon has noticed that the human is anticipating something since days ago, often time looking outside as if he’s waiting for something. Why, the other day, he even asks Gramps Ron about any packages coming to the Henituse Estate!
Wings fluttering in excitement, Raon wonders what kind of thing the human ordered. Is it a gift from someone? Or did he buy it, and now the package has arrived?
How expensive is it? Is it gonna be used to loot the bad guys? Or to cause explosions? Raon doesn’t know, and he’s eager to find out!
He tells it exactly to the human, who looks at him weirdly. Raon tilts his head in response, wondering if his assumptions are wrong. But the human never buys anything that are not food, things for him to gift to other people, or things that can help him loot and beat up the bad guys!
He tells that to the human as well, much to the agreement of his hyung and noona. The two kittens meow in resounding agreement, making the human frown much more.
“I can spend money for myself as well, you know,” Cale says with a frown, though his hand doesn’t stop its patting on Raon’s round head. Raon simply nuzzles closer to the hand, his wings fluttering.
“You rarely do so, though,” Hong says helpfully, his paw tapping on Cale’s shirt.
“That’s right, nya, that’s why we’re curious, nya,” On supplies, her tail swishing from side to side.
“Curious, so curious, nya.”
At the sparkling gazes of the three children, as well as the curious ones from Ron and Choi Han who are also in the room, Cale sighs. He glances at the box beside them, the wooden box nearly above his knees in height.
“Alright. Raon, help me open it.”
“Right away, human!” Raon says cheerfully, easily dismantling the box without damaging anything inside. Then, upon seeing the item inside, the three children gasp.
What’s inside is a pink, round thing made out of the softest cotton and fur, with two short appendages that may be called as its arms, and under it there are two red thing shaped like shoes. The round thing has eyes, and inside it is empty for it’s mouth is open.
A fluffy, round, pink thing that can be mistaken as a… storage box?
“Human! What is that?” Raon can’t shake off the confusion in his voice, the dragon flying around the pink thing to figure out what exactly the item is for. Just like him, the two kittens are circling the item as well.
Contrary to their expectations, it is not Cale who answers the question for them. Instead, it’s Choi Han who speaks up, his tone surprised.
“Is that… Kirby?”
Cale’s lips widen into a smirk, the red haired man sending a smug look at Choi Han.
“I knew you’d know what it is.”
“Kirby? What’s Kirby, human, Choi Han?!”
“That’s its name.”
“So this is Kirby?” Raon tilts his head.
“That’s a cute name, nya,” Hong meows.
“What is this for?” Hong asks.
“For me,” Cale says, looking happy. He gently picks up the Kirby, depositing it neatly on his bed. As is his routine, he casually climbs his bed to sleep, and everyone can only watch in baffled silence as Cale puts his head inside the Kirby’s mouth and promptly goes to sleep.
“EEEEH? HUMAN, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!”
As it turns out, the Kirby is a tool that provides his human shade for him to sleep, and his human uses it very happily.
These days, whenever the human naps in the garden while he and his noona and hyung are playing, he will use the Kirby as his pillow and shade supplier! It’s always an odd sight to see, his human’s head always looks like it’s being engulfed by the pink and round Kirby. Everyone else who sees the Kirby for the first time is all shocked!
The Kirby is cute, though. That, the children are able to admit.
In fact, it actually looks rather comfortable… The human enjoys using it, even if that means he has to shove his head up a pink round thing’s mouth and lets himself look like a case of head being eaten by a round pink monster.
Glancing at each other, the children come into an agreement.
Sometime later in the future, the two kittens find that they are small enough to be able to slip inside the Kirby’s mouth for naps. And what a joy it is! Their assumption is correct, the Kirby pillow and shade provider are extremely comfortable. No wonder Cale likes it a lot.
Kneading the soft pillow underneath them with their paw waws, the two kittens meow happily before they lie down on it.
Sleep comes easy for them.
Raon is not that happy about it, though. Why, he’s too big to fit inside the Kirby! The dragon that is now over 1 meter long can’t fit inside the Kirby’s mouth, only his head may fit inside just like the human!
Noona and hyung look like they’re really enjoying napping on their new “bed”, and Raon wants to join…
Still, a dragon is ever rational. Knowing that he doesn’t fit, he doesn’t attempt to force himself inside the Kirby’s mouth, instead he allows himself to simply stick his head in and giggles together with his siblings who are inside the Kirby at the same time.
This scene is how Cale finds them, and the red haired man can only watch perplexed at the dragon body that sticks out of the Kirby’s mouth, and the swishing black tail.
A glance at Ron affirms the truth, that the kids have been enjoying their playtime with the Kirby, inside the Kirby.
Sighing, Cale simply lets it go and does his own thing.
Later during the night, he puts the Kirby on the bed and allows the kittens to sleep in them if they wish so. Still enamored by the comfort of the Kirby, the kittens do exactly that, curling up inside the Kirby and sleeping soundlessly.
Raon spends the night cuddled up close to his human.
There’s a big, big wooden box inside their playroom in the Black Castle.
The children stare up at it in awe, sparkling eyes unable to take their sight off of it.
“Human, what is this? Did you order this too?”
“Yes, I did,” is his human’s easy reply. The children are excited to hear that. What can it be? He puts it in the playroom, that means it’s something that they can use to play with, right? The human has gone back to his habit to spend a lot on other people and spending little on himself, though.
Nevertheless, it’s exciting. After the Kirby, they can’t help but to wonder what exactly that the human orders this time around.
“Raon, open it,” Cale says, and Raon follows as he is told.
“Woah…!” On gasps.
“T-Th-This is…!” Raon stutters out, his blue eyes sparkling wide.
“It’s soooo big, nya!”
It’s the Kirby! With an upsize!
Seeing how the Big Kirby nearly reaches the Black Castle ceiling, they amends their thought.
It’s a super huge upsize!
“Huuuman! It’s the Kirby! Big Kirby!” Raon latches himself on Cale’s chest, his blue eyes haven’t stopped their sparkling as he speaks.
“Yes, yes,” Cale answers easily, his hand patting Raon’s round head automatically.
“Did you buy this for us, human?!”
“Can we play inside it?!”
“Nap inside it?!”
“Play inside it?!”
“It’s yours. You can do whatever you want with it.”
“It’s for all of you. Use it well,” Cale smiles when the two cat children began to circle his feet and rub their furs on his ankles.
“We got our own Kirby, nya…!”
“Noona, we can have naps with our dongsaeng in here, nya!”
“I think it can fit Choi Han and Cale inside as well, nya!!!”
“Our own Big Kirby!!!!” Raon cheers, whooshing inside with light speed. The cat children are quick to follow, and soon enough, the sound of giggles can be heard inside the Big Kirby.
If the small Kirby is well loved, the Big Kirby is super loved.
The children giggle, their human is very good at purchasing this kind of thing!
